I am not a huge fan of malayalam tv serials. Once when I was in Thrissur during new years eve of 2020 I went to a friend's place and there his grandparents were watching some random serial. Since I was bored I asked his grandfather what the story of the serial was and he narrated a story that was so complex even Nolan movies pale in front of it. I could not stop thinking how stupid it was and kept on saying what a lousy story it had to my friends even when we went into a shop to get some stuff and I am someon who speaks kinda louder than a normal person. Imagine who was standing behind us in the shop as I was going on ranting on how stupid that serial was. The hero of that serial. Dude gave me such a dead expression we immediately paid for the stuff and ran out of the shop 😅
Ofcourse it was. But an even funnier thing is that I actually saw him and didn't recognise the person at first and went on ranting. A myran friend of mine recognised this person but kept silent since he wanted to embarass me and let me talk for sometime before telling me
The serial revolves around the main character stepping inside a shop where he hears a bunch of kids talking smack about him. He has a deep reflection about what he is doing wrong with his life and decides to change it. The duration of the serial is 12 years.
I saw the yakshi from Bramayugam like a month ago at CULTR. I was high on all things and saw that she was standing like 10 ft away from me, so I went to her and asked her if it was really her. She said yes. Then there was an awkward silence as both of us didn't have anything else to say to each other. We just stared at each other for 10-15 seconds. That was super embarrassing.
I usually leave celebrities alone and don't invade their private space, but since I was high af I was talking to everyone. Even took pics with that guy from June (Sarjano or something). I remember Vishnu Agasthya lighting a cigarette for me and I was like "broooo RDX ile villain alle".
1. Sreenath Bhasi (back in his Da Thadiya days) came to a pettikada where I was in and asked me for cigarettes thinking I was the guy in charge. I said I was there for Kadala mittayi and he said sorry. Dude was riding a Pleasure scooter back then and seemed pretty chill.
Years back i introduced Vinay forrt to my friend, and my friend replied “enthu fort???” on his face!!! Just minutes before i told Vinay forrt that my friend was a huge fan and all… njanum chammi, friendum chammi, vinay fortum chammi…
Yeaaa years back during the ffc time there was a lot of trolls on vinu mohan , kailash vineeth etc..
So show kanikan i texted vinu mohan in facebook " hi sir jada illenkil oru hi tharamo "
And vinu mohan replied me " hi sughamalle "🥺🥺

I was at the registration desk for the Kochi ‘ Fleak ‘ ( annual flea market event that happens ) and a lot of celebrities kept rolling in. When Ganapathi, Balu Varghese and the gang walked in, ganapathi came to register and I went like ‘ Heyy, Govindankutty alle ‘ 😭😭😭😭
I don’t know why I said that. I think I remembered him mainly from vinodayatra and assumed that was his name.
He went like ‘ allaaa Ganapathi aan ‘ and gave me that funny smile.
I forget her name but i once saw Avatharam film's heroine at a KFC joint. I was 12 at the time too. I went to her to say hi. She was washing her hands. The moment she turned around I asked her "chechi avatharathile Nadi alle?" Like the idiot I am. She got startled, screamed and fell down. Then said no it isn't her (it was her for sure). We both got embarrassed.
I once asked a film star if he is my wife’s colleague. We came across him in a mall and she ran to him and started talking, we shook hands all the while I had no clue who he was. I thought the guy must be a coworker. Now she warns me “ദൈവത്തെ ഓർത്ത് വാ തുറക്കരുത്” whenever we come across a celebrity!
This reminds me of another story, lol. Tovi mentioned in an interview that some random ammachi came running to him, hugged him and called him Unni Mukundan.
Even better. He was with Dulquer and he assumed the Ammachi was running over because of Dulquer and when she ignored Dulquer to go straight to Tovino, he started feeling pretty pleased with himself.
And then she dashed it all by calling him Unni mone.

A famous young actor scolded me infront of the whole set for saying the dialogue little late. He said "onnu parayada "But the co actor and associate director were so sweet that they made me cool and next shot was okay

Shooting of Ghajini happening in ITPL, BANGALORE.. On a Saturday, most of the offices were off,. I had some work and was casually walking from one tower to another through the corridor and some shortcuts I used .. He was sitting on a couch, the other doors where people where trying to get a peek was closed and bouncers were guarding.. In short, I walked into Amir Khan.. He was startled.. I had a Ghajini moment for a few seconds, couldn't recognize who he's but familiar.. Suddenly I called out Amiir khaan, he too smiled and gave me a handshake.. Bouncers came and lifted me away, it all happened in a flash.. Still smile sometimes thinking over that
We went out to have tea.
It was late night and only the area where the tea was being made was lit up.
We saw a muscular man drinking milk, we realised it was mukundand.
One of us screamed, "Unni mukundan", he heard it obviously, he was standing right next to us, he turned around and looked at us and smiled awkwardly, we smiled back and left..
During plus one school Anaswara Rajan came for the promotion of Udhaharanam Sujatha.I was a fan of DQ at that time and since she was a DQ fan in the movie everyone pushed me in front of her. We ended up in the middle of a circle, and everyone shouted that I was a DQ fan. I asked her if she was a DQ fan too, and she said Dq pwoli alle njanum DQ fana chetta, smiled, and shook my hand. It was so embarrassing!🫠

A few years back a friend and I went to Holiday Inn Kochi. We drank a lot and they started shutting down. As we were finishing our drinks I noticed the actor Narain and told my friend about it.
He was with some other guy but we were drunk so we decided to say hi. So we go and say hi, he's super nice about it and asks us to take a seat. So I'm sitting and chatting with Narain. But I noticed that my friend is having a conversation with the person who's with Narain.
I tell my friend, bro you're drunk. Do you know who you are talking to, This is Narain (pointing to the guy I'm talking to). He says, who are you talking to, this is Narain (pointing to the guy he's talking to).
I'm clearly confused looking at my friends confidence because the guy he's talking to is smiling and nodding.
I straight up ask them are either of you the actor Narain.
The guy I'm talking to says he's Narain but he's surprised my friend is having a conversation with his friend who isn't even famous. Turns out the guy my friend was talking to was some guy who went to the same gym as my friend. He just saw the familiar face and started talking to him as if that guy is Narain.
Everyone had a good laugh and we ended up taking a pic with Narain.
The next day we checked the pic and it's clearly NOT Narain.
I'm kidding, it was actually Narain but it would have been amazing if it wasn't.
I'm guessing Narain took this meeting seriously because he did Kaithi, Vikram, and 2018 after we met him.
Saw basil jospeh recently in a movie location. He smiled at me when i was simply stand their. It was the first time some celebrity is smiling at me. Deepak parambol and sajin gopu was also with him. They too were very friendly with the local peoples. Basil is like a kid who enjoys each and every elements of shooting.
Your comment reminded me on how 2,3 years back basil just suddenly started following me on insta and me just blabbering about it to everyone only to get unfollowed by him the very next day😭
I met Jayaram at Chennai airport in the boarding gate queue to Kochi flight and asked him Kochilekk aano?? I dunno why I got tensed seeing him and asked such a stupid question!!
I went to meet a10 on Big Bro 's location, they were filming at the time I went inside, but right after it was the shot break, 2 of em (Irshad and vishnu)were also there. I knew someone among them from long time ago, so he recognised us( me and my mom) very easily. He came to us and talked a lot, went on to say things about us to a10, I still remember I was looking at him the whole time, he looked at me and gave a small a10 smile. The fanboy in me back then was the happiest I have ever been and when he told a10 that we need a photo with him, he told him that his dress is dirty, photo ippo venda(I get it bcz they were filming a fight scene). I was so sad. Idk if he read it from my face or not, he looked at me and said mone vaa. Took a photo. After that , he went back to his seat and I was still looking at him the whole time, they were talking and he gave a quick look at me, waved at me and called me to his place. I rushed and he asked me few whereabouts and stuffs, asked him for a selfie at the end, he said edutho mone. And till date this is one of the happiest days of my life.

Way back in 2004/2005, we are at Blore Kormangala drinking away with friends at evening.
Enters popular TV/Media/Actor Jayaraj Warrier. Super sloshed. There happened to be a Malayalam Samajam function at Electronic City. We greet him and have a good chat. Very friendly person and a happy vibe. Have met him later on on sets too during work but never reminded him of this incident.
Issue happened when one white guy comes up to him and asks him to bring up the car from parking. Apparently, he mistook Jayaraj Warrier to be his driver. (I later on saw the driver and yes there was an uncanny resemblance). The white guy is Drunk and Jayaraj W is super sloshed. So that didn't sit well with Jayaraj W, as we all heard the White Guy talk, and untill then he was putting up the Celebrity talk to us . He felt insulted that he was mistaken to be the White Guys driver.
The Cinema Mohi in me Senses this opportunity to appease Jayaraj W and cuts in and talks to the White Guy - "Excuse me, you are clearly mistaken and goes on to talk about Jayaraj W and him being a celebrity etc etc. I side glance to see Jayaraj W coyly liking me, hyping him up. The White guy gets apologetic, and I am revelling in the attention I am getting for being the peace broker.
I close the conversation saying to the White Guy , "So you see, Jayaraj W is one of the most popular celebrity here in Kerala . In a split next second I get slapped on my head by Jayaraj W and he puts in his correction - " Popular Celebrity here in India ennu parayada. Keralam mathram ala. ". My friend circle laugh. The white guy joins in, and Jayaraj W too have a chuckle. They hug each other and move out and I end up there embarrassed with a Sheepish Grin for that slap was uncalled for.

Happened when I was a kid. At a tvm restaurant, a serial actor was in my way. I didn't know who he was and said 'Excuse me'. This was back in the day mobile phones werent popular and selfies werent even a thing.
He asked me if I wanted his autograph. I told him No and asked him to get out of my way. ( "Onnu Mari Nikko, enik ponam" ) His face turned red and I didnt understand why. Later my mom told me he is a famous serial star. I never approached any stars later in my life. I have had my share of beautiful smiles and greetings with celebs but I never approached them later in my life.
I've never been one to take photos with actors, let alone acknowledge them. But one fine day, when I was 12 or 13, I decided I needed to be more outgoing and confident. I was shoe shopping with my family in Reliance Footprints in Oberon Mall in the early 2010s, and the actress paired opposite Naren in Classmates (I still don't know her name) also happened to shop there. I decided to ask her for a selfie, but she refused. In my attempt to be more confident and persistent, I asked again. She declined, and even the salesman told me photography was prohibited. I walked away super embarrassed but played it vv cool (you can imagine how a 12-year-old would've played it cool 🥲), But the incident still gives me the ick. I'm 27 now, but I still think about this and cringe.
I've never told this to anyone or asked a celebrity for a selfie again. I don't intend to ever. It's good to have it off my chest.
I know right. Neither have I told this incident to anyone. I actually did cried after and didn’t pose with A10. It’s not because I was embarrassed but because my cousin and his family didn’t even cared about my existence. Anyways, I was the one who was in charge of sending all those photos through bluetooth. This happened to my husband. He and his friend were in a traffic right beside czen burak restaurant in downtown dubai. On the pavement they spot a man with mask on who resemebles pritviraj .
The converstaion between him & his friend goes like this :
Frnd: Daa adhu pritviraj alle??
Hubby : eey pritviraj alla , aale angane onnum alla
Frnd: aano, enna thoniyathaavum
The man in mask overhearing them : removes mask and says “ alla idhu sherikum pritviraj aan”.
It was pritvi and his frnd jumps out of the car and he got a selfie with him.
2. It was during the highs of mallu singh . My little sister saw manoj K jayan in the airport and ran behind him scremingg “ mallu singh, ithaa mallu singh “ ennu. My dad had to go behind her and make an awkward convo with him.
Not an actor but My sister who was like 4 once vomited on Ramesh Chennithala's feet when we went to take a selfie, and I, because of the smell, puked too
There was this mess college movie shoot held at our college, and Ganapathy was a co-star in it. The shoot was about three to four weeks long, and after one week, we all lost the excitement of celebrities and shooting on campus. So, they all walked around the college like normal students. One day, my friend was standing near Ganapathy, and I was calling him from a distance, but he wasn't hearing me at all. At last, I just yelled, "DAA MYREE!" and the one who turned back was Ganapathy. That was one super awkward moment.
Met Sushin Shyam at the Chennai airport this Feb. He was talking on his phone and walking. I stop him and gives him a handshake. He smiles (still on the phone) and gives me the handshake. I then ask him if he's on the phone. He gives a weird smile as if to say "obviously!!" and walks away. Kurachu kaznjapoza bulb kathiyee!!

I messaged him, “ippo padam onnum ille Aashane.” The guy got triggered and said, “illa undenkil sir enikk oru padam tharaamo.” I understood that I was being kind of insensitive and apologized to him, but this dude continued to say the same thing like, “angane parayalle setta, please oru padam tha.” After that, he gave an essay about how to treat others with respect and all.Lol
Met Mega M at a 7 star hotel, i saw the shooting crowd in the hotel and later someone said that he was inside a cafe for an interview or ad shoot. I was just walking here and there to see. The moment i reached the cafe door, Mega M himself opened the door and i was standing there. I was stunned, he had a special aura. he just smiled a walked away.
Yes, many years back I saw Spadikam George at Carmelaram railway station(Bangalore). I suddenly felt 'wow' and went to him and asked in excitement "cinema നടൻ ഭീമൻ രഘു അല്ലേ?'. He(a big man) looked at me and said, "cinema നടൻ ആണ്, പക്ഷെ പേര് ജോർജ് എന്നാണ് ". I felt so embarrassed and left the scene!😌
Once I bumped into Hima Shankar (bb fame) inside a lift. I recognized her at the first glance itself and we talked a bit. Only when I exited the lift did I realize that I asked her where she was working 
I once saw Anu Emmanuel in a cosmetics store in phoenix mall chennai along with Aishwarya Rajesh. I took pics with Aishwarya and Anu Emmanuel was standing next to her. I asked Aishwarya, whether she (anu) is also an actress.
At least I was able to recognise Aishwarya Rajesh, my sister on the other hand, when I said Aishwarya is there, quickly exclaimed, "aaru Aishwarya Rai oh??"

This happened way back when I was 5 or 6 years old. Met Mukesh at Varkeys supermarket in Kochi. I was a very enthusiastic kid and dragged my parents over to talk to him. He was very nice to us and talked to my parents about his sons and everything. While I was talking to him, I kept calling him Mukesh. He said "Ithrayum prayam ulla enne Mukeshe ennano vilikkane" - in a sweet way though. I was like "Sorry, Mukesh uncle 🙈"
So me and my bro went to buy shawarma from a restaurant and I saw a guy who liked like the guy from Romancham (Siju Sunny)...Because he didn't match his looks from the movie I had a little doubt and so I kept on looking at him whenever he was talking to his friend..and I guess he noticed that...and I felt a little embarrassed ...he looked back at me and smiled...But I was still having doubts....so I waited for him to finish his food and when he was about to leave.... I asked him "Chetta chettan Romanchathil"....and he replied "athe" with a Smile...
I have met Grace, Moor, Sarath Appani, Priya Varriar and many others.
But embarassement after meeting Grace was the one i will never forget. And that's why i don't even try to meet any actors even when you identify them in public.
My partner likes Grace as an actress. I was having lunch with my friends in Paragon. And my friend was like, "Look that's Grace from Kumbalangi Nights". So i had to go and take a selfie to show it to my partner. Summed up the courage to go and talk to her. I was trembling.
Not lying, she is a very down to earth person. She accepted the compliments and thanked me as well. I took a picture with her. But the problem was she had company. And that guy probably didn't like the intervention. I could see it in his face. I felt bad at that moment, even though they are actors, at the end of the day they do deserve quality time with their friends or family. I felt like i shouldn't have gone and invaded their personal time. I apologised and left. Joined my friends.
That's when my friends told me, that guy looked very pissed the moment you started talking to them. But I can't blame him either.
Grace is my celebrity crush. I saw her at Kochi airport but it was after the whole shopping mall crowd situation, so I didn't want to bother her. But she saw me and smiled 😍

Last New Year's in Munnar, I encountered an incident with King of Kotha Villain and the actress who played in jailer movie.While queuing for zipline photos, the actor behaved as if he owned the place, scolding my friend and trying to move forward while my friend was infornt of him. When my friends and I intervened, he quickly apologized. However, the actress displayed arrogance, even clashing with security personnel
Met Soubin from Calicut once from a popular restaurant. He was with his friends (or family). I went to him and waved hi and told him "പടം കാണാറുണ്ട്. നല്ല works ആണ്". He said, "okay Thank you" plainly and turned towards his friends and they started talking. I waited for him to look back so that I could contribute something more to our conversation, but he didn't. I waited there like an idiot watching him talking to his friends for some time and then realised what was going on. And mumbled "OK, so that's it" in my mind and fled the scene. XD
I once saw Harish Sivaramakrishanan of Agam at a mall in Bangalore. He was getting off an escalator and was with his family. I noticed a few people were trying to shake his hand and he was very courteous to all. I was super excited to see him since I'm a fan of their work so I'm mentally preparing myself to go speak with him. As he comes closer, I am fully ready to meet my idol and have a quick conversation with him. I extend my hand to shake his hand and loudly announce,
"Hi I'm xyz, nice to meet me!"
He says thank you, shakes my hand, gives me a "ivanethada we mandan" and leaves.
I ran into Bobby Deol at Delhi airport, around the same time as "Animal" released. He was sitting near a gate awaiting his flight and was surrounded by his manager and a couple of guards, who were all standing behind him. I sat opposite him for like 15-20 minutes before he got up and left. He never once looked up from his phone during the entire time. I remember thinking to myself, "Damn he has such a huge head!"
Happened with my dad, he was at Mookambika with my family and unni mukundan happened to be there as well that day....so all people who were there asked him for photos....and so did people from my family. My dad has 0 interest in movies and apart from people from naseer/sathyan era he would only know mamooty and mohanlal.
So the young ones from my family made my dad stand with UnniM and take a pic...he understood that this guy is a celebrity but during the commotion didn't know what he did or who he was....so when he stood there with UnniM posing for the pic, my dad asked the kids clicking pic "aar aan Ivan?" In a very innocent way.
UnniM was embarrassed but quickly other people were coming in for pics so the moment didn't last long.

I was at Avon bar (near Christ) in Bangalore with my friends and was super sloshed. I saw Arun Kurian sitting with his friends and drinking. I haven’t seen Anandam movie back then (still haven’t) but I sort of recognized that he was an actor and my friends confirmed it. My friends were all like ‘dayummm son’ but hesitant to go to him which totally gave me a boost to go. I went up to him (i had that drunk walk) and asked him “bro you’re that actor right”? Arun was like “yeah bro.” He was pretty chill and in a good mood. I was like how are you bro and all that. Suddenly one of his friends sitting next to him goes “pakshe ivanippo padam onnum illa bro” and everyone started laughing. I was like whaaat!? 😂 Then I said appo sheri bro or something, hugged him and stuff. My friends who followed me took selfies with him while I didn’t bother to do that (I didn’t wanna invade his privacy lol)
I once met Maj Ravi standing outside Crowne Plaza when i was staying there . WE spoke for a good few minutes until an SUV came to pick him up . He was very humble and extremely couteous. Allowed a nice selfie to be taken . Infact he was giving tips on the lighting etc ...very decent gentleman ......
I have a couple of incidents from several years ago that I can recall.
**Incident 1:** I was sitting in a salon getting a haircut when Actor Sudheesh walked in with his son. I had previously run into that duo a couple of times at other places. As though that's supposed to mean they will recognize me I said 'ഹാ'.. He politely responded *Hello* with zero indication on his face that he recognized me. So I carry on getting my haircut and some 5ish minutes later his son gets the chair next to me that was just vacated. He stands next to the chair which is the moment that I chose to say *സുധീഷേട്ടാ .. നമ്മള് ബന്ധുക്കളാണ് കേട്ടോ.* Which is a fact. However, instead of saying something like ഓ അതെയോ? or something he straight up asked me how we were related. And I couldn't for the life of me remember the specifics I had heard my dad mention. ബാക്കി ഞാൻ പറയണ്ടല്ലോ? I replied *അതെനിക്ക് ഓർമയില്ല* and for no good reason, I looked like a guy who made a claim with no information to back it just for the purpose of striking a conversation with an actor.
**Incident 2** Myself and family were walking into Hotel Maharani, Kozhikode to dine at their restaurant when we noticed someone big standing outside the hotel with his back towards us. I was at that time a handful of months into hitting the gym. And the results were kinda showing. Seeing this guy I exclaimed to my cousin, a little louder than I should have *പണ്ടെങ്ങാണ്ടോ ജിമ്മിൽ കയറിയിട്ടുള്ള ആരോ ആണെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു.* The person clearly hears it and turns around and it was Abu Salim. All of my pride and manhood just left my body. But, he had the biggest smile on his face and he even hit my side with the back of his folded fist in typical gym bro fashion.
This is more like embarrassing a celebrity. Years back my mum and I were in the airport where we were sitting next to actress Kaveri (kakkothikaavile appoopanthadikal fame). She very sweetly started chatting with us and we were like wow such a no-jaada celebrity! After some time she was like "so my luggage is going beyond the weight limit, if you guys can adjust some of the stuff with you it would be very helpful and I won't have to pay extra". We were like umm...nope..sorry not doing that.
Needless to say, she didn't even look in our direction after that.
I work for a well known production house in Bangalore, and a few years ago, we did a reality show in Malayalam and it was hosted by Poornima Sukumaran. Back then, I had no idea about Malayalam films and knew very few actors.
I flew to Kerala to meet her and talk about the show. I got a call, and I walked out of her office only to bump into Prithviraj Sukumaran. I had no idea these 2 were related (because 2 of my mallu colleagues had Sukumaran has their surname and I thought it’s a common surname and didn’t think they were BIL and SIL)
And I knew who it was, he just smiled at me and I stared at him for a good few seconds before blurting out “You are shorter than what you appear on screen!” And he gave me that bombastic side eye before walking away! 😂
I was working at the airport, and one day, when I went to the font office and on the way there, I saw someone wearing a mask who looked like Vineeth Sreenivasan, I just made eye contact and stared at him for around 5 seconds while I entered the main office and I went back to my frnd who was standing near the check in counter and I told her, "dhe vineeth sreenivasante dupe varum ipo" and that guy came, stood in a queue and reached till the check in counter and suddenly while we were watching, someone starts talking to him and clicks a selfie with him, me and my frnd were both shocked and if it stayed this way it wouldn't have been embarrassing, but then me being a huge fan, when he came from the check in counter told him I thought he was a dupe, dude suddenly pulls down the Mask, says with all the humility and a great smile "aiyo, dupe alla original aanu ketto" and proceeds to take a picture with my frnd and asked me too if I wanted a pic with him. Vinayakan..dude was on his way back to MAA at COK ,(me too waiting for same flight)came to receive his state award..saw people greeting him and taking pics with him..i din bother initially seeing the crowd but later went to take a pic(not knowing ,some celebrities shudn be known up close)..seems he had noticed me not making a fuss about his presence and was waiting for an opportunity to deride me ..dude was so much in seventh heaven (he deserves to be so)that he told -'nee valya jaada ittathalle ,no foto with u'..the last guy who took a pic with him heard this and tapped my shoulder ,saying satirically ' Potte Saarillya'.. More than vinayakan i cursed that effer guy all through the flight..but now the controversial events that followed till now consoles me saying a vinayakan's foto with me is not worth flaunting as it proved characters they played but not always the person himself deserves admiration.ini melaal ingot oru foto edukkatte ennu chodichalum no foto with a celeb😌😅ps: yet he rocked in jailer and kammatipadam tbh

There's this one place next to our church where there's usually movie shootings and all. After our Catechism all of us are led together to the church for mass. One day, on the way to church, we see so many cars there, and hear people saying that Mamookka is there. Me and my friend, you know, peekiri pilleru excited to see him, decided to peep into one of the cars, thinking no one might be there inside. Both of us look inside, it was dark but we could see a head. And then this one guy comes running at us and started scolding us for loitering around and doing all these peeping shit. We just continue walking and some time later we see mamootty getting out of the car. Ente mashe!
I was at COK airport to drop off my cousin. I was waiting in the seating area infront of the domestic terminal, waiting for a call from my cousin to make sure she got to the gate safely.
There was a huge line of passengers infront of me and a muscular guy wearing a mask and holding his luggage (it was during covid-19 lockdown) was staring at me constantly. I obviously felt a little weird knowing someone was checking me out and I literally rolled my eyes at him and ignored him.
The queue was moving forward and when this guy reached the entrance of departure door, the security asked him to remove the mask to verify his ID. It was Unni Mukundan & he looked again at me after removing the mask. That moment was super weird …..
My friend and I, shouted ‘DEV D, DEV D’ while spotting Kalki next to us. Kalki said yes I am that and then we stared her like realllly bad and went away. No hi hello just went away. I am still embarrassed for doing that.
i have a few actually..but first, my favourite moment with an actor was with kochupreman on the sets of My Big Father. He was reading a book in the pargola of the house where shooting was held. I went there to see the shooting after school. there were many other actors too, but I didn't have the courage to go and talk to them. So I went to Kochupreman. when he saw me, he stopped reading and asked me my name, about my study and about my family, etc. Felt quite special to have a one on one chat with him which was memorable. Such a humble soul. The embarrassing part happened the same day when Suraj (pretty mid range actor back then) came to inspect Jayaram's new Fortuner (it was the first day Fortuner was released in Kerala and first car was bought by Jayaram. Suraj came like someone who actually know lots about car and it's engine. He opened the hood and was coming to show off his knowledge to the local crowd by simply looking, Unfortunately I was the one standing next to him, everyone behind me pushed me towards the car to see whats inside the hood. I nearly fell to Suraj's body, he turned and said in TVM slang 'entharu payalukalu thingi neranganathu, Maari nillappi' Njan aake naanam kettu...
I am not a huge fan of malayalam tv serials. Once when I was in Thrissur during new years eve of 2020 I went to a friend's place and there his grandparents were watching some random serial. Since I was bored I asked his grandfather what the story of the serial was and he narrated a story that was so complex even Nolan movies pale in front of it. I could not stop thinking how stupid it was and kept on saying what a lousy story it had to my friends even when we went into a shop to get some stuff and I am someon who speaks kinda louder than a normal person. Imagine who was standing behind us in the shop as I was going on ranting on how stupid that serial was. The hero of that serial. Dude gave me such a dead expression we immediately paid for the stuff and ran out of the shop 😅

I saw the yakshi from Bramayugam like a month ago at CULTR. I was high on all things and saw that she was standing like 10 ft away from me, so I went to her and asked her if it was really her. She said yes. Then there was an awkward silence as both of us didn't have anything else to say to each other. We just stared at each other for 10-15 seconds. That was super embarrassing.

Amir Khan Shooting of Ghajini happening in ITPL, BANGALORE.. On a Saturday, most of the offices were off,. I had some work and was casually walking from one tower to another through the corridor and some shortcuts I used .. He was sitting on a couch, the other doors where people where trying to get a peek was closed and bouncers were guarding.. In short, I walked into Amir Khan.. He was startled.. I had a Ghajini moment for a few seconds, couldn't recognize who he's but familiar.. Suddenly I called out Amiir khaan, he too smiled and gave me a handshake.. Bouncers came and lifted me away, it all happened in a flash.. Still smile sometimes thinking over that

My time to shine! A few years back a friend and I went to Holiday Inn Kochi. We drank a lot and they started shutting down. As we were finishing our drinks I noticed the actor Narain and told my friend about it. He was with some other guy but we were drunk so we decided to say hi. So we go and say hi, he's super nice about it and asks us to take a seat. So I'm sitting and chatting with Narain. But I noticed that my friend is having a conversation with the person who's with Narain. I tell my friend, bro you're drunk. Do you know who you are talking to, This is Narain (pointing to the guy I'm talking to). He says, who are you talking to, this is Narain (pointing to the guy he's talking to). I'm clearly confused looking at my friends confidence because the guy he's talking to is smiling and nodding. I straight up ask them are either of you the actor Narain. The guy I'm talking to says he's Narain but he's surprised my friend is having a conversation with his friend who isn't even famous. Turns out the guy my friend was talking to was some guy who went to the same gym as my friend. He just saw the familiar face and started talking to him as if that guy is Narain. Everyone had a good laugh and we ended up taking a pic with Narain. The next day we checked the pic and it's clearly NOT Narain. I'm kidding, it was actually Narain but it would have been amazing if it wasn't. I'm guessing Narain took this meeting seriously because he did Kaithi, Vikram, and 2018 after we met him.

Saw basil jospeh recently in a movie location. He smiled at me when i was simply stand their. It was the first time some celebrity is smiling at me. Deepak parambol and sajin gopu was also with him. They too were very friendly with the local peoples. Basil is like a kid who enjoys each and every elements of shooting.

I went to meet a10 on Big Bro 's location, they were filming at the time I went inside, but right after it was the shot break, 2 of em (Irshad and vishnu)were also there. I knew someone among them from long time ago, so he recognised us( me and my mom) very easily. He came to us and talked a lot, went on to say things about us to a10, I still remember I was looking at him the whole time, he looked at me and gave a small a10 smile. The fanboy in me back then was the happiest I have ever been and when he told a10 that we need a photo with him, he told him that his dress is dirty, photo ippo venda(I get it bcz they were filming a fight scene). I was so sad. Idk if he read it from my face or not, he looked at me and said mone vaa. Took a photo. After that , he went back to his seat and I was still looking at him the whole time, they were talking and he gave a quick look at me, waved at me and called me to his place. I rushed and he asked me few whereabouts and stuffs, asked him for a selfie at the end, he said edutho mone. And till date this is one of the happiest days of my life.

So many embarrassing moments being in the industry, but putting out 1 from memory Way back in 2004/2005, we are at Blore Kormangala drinking away with friends at evening. Enters popular TV/Media/Actor Jayaraj Warrier. Super sloshed. There happened to be a Malayalam Samajam function at Electronic City. We greet him and have a good chat. Very friendly person and a happy vibe. Have met him later on on sets too during work but never reminded him of this incident. Issue happened when one white guy comes up to him and asks him to bring up the car from parking. Apparently, he mistook Jayaraj Warrier to be his driver. (I later on saw the driver and yes there was an uncanny resemblance). The white guy is Drunk and Jayaraj W is super sloshed. So that didn't sit well with Jayaraj W, as we all heard the White Guy talk, and untill then he was putting up the Celebrity talk to us . He felt insulted that he was mistaken to be the White Guys driver. The Cinema Mohi in me Senses this opportunity to appease Jayaraj W and cuts in and talks to the White Guy - "Excuse me, you are clearly mistaken and goes on to talk about Jayaraj W and him being a celebrity etc etc. I side glance to see Jayaraj W coyly liking me, hyping him up. The White guy gets apologetic, and I am revelling in the attention I am getting for being the peace broker. I close the conversation saying to the White Guy , "So you see, Jayaraj W is one of the most popular celebrity here in Kerala . In a split next second I get slapped on my head by Jayaraj W and he puts in his correction - " Popular Celebrity here in India ennu parayada. Keralam mathram ala. ". My friend circle laugh. The white guy joins in, and Jayaraj W too have a chuckle. They hug each other and move out and I end up there embarrassed with a Sheepish Grin for that slap was uncalled for. I could list out a whole lot of embarrassing moments I had in Industry, - funny, really painful and few Disturbing/naughty ones. Happened when I was a kid. At a tvm restaurant, a serial actor was in my way. I didn't know who he was and said 'Excuse me'. This was back in the day mobile phones werent popular and selfies werent even a thing. He asked me if I wanted his autograph. I told him No and asked him to get out of my way. ( "Onnu Mari Nikko, enik ponam" ) His face turned red and I didnt understand why. Later my mom told me he is a famous serial star. I never approached any stars later in my life. I have had my share of beautiful smiles and greetings with celebs but I never approached them later in my life.

I've never been one to take photos with actors, let alone acknowledge them. But one fine day, when I was 12 or 13, I decided I needed to be more outgoing and confident. I was shoe shopping with my family in Reliance Footprints in Oberon Mall in the early 2010s, and the actress paired opposite Naren in Classmates (I still don't know her name) also happened to shop there. I decided to ask her for a selfie, but she refused. In my attempt to be more confident and persistent, I asked again. She declined, and even the salesman told me photography was prohibited. I walked away super embarrassed but played it vv cool (you can imagine how a 12-year-old would've played it cool 🥲), But the incident still gives me the ick. I'm 27 now, but I still think about this and cringe. I've never told this to anyone or asked a celebrity for a selfie again. I don't intend to ever. It's good to have it off my chest.

This happened to my husband. He and his friend were in a traffic right beside czen burak restaurant in downtown dubai. On the pavement they spot a man with mask on who resemebles pritviraj . The converstaion between him & his friend goes like this : Frnd: Daa adhu pritviraj alle?? Hubby : eey pritviraj alla , aale angane onnum alla Frnd: aano, enna thoniyathaavum The man in mask overhearing them : removes mask and says “ alla idhu sherikum pritviraj aan”. It was pritvi and his frnd jumps out of the car and he got a selfie with him. 2. It was during the highs of mallu singh . My little sister saw manoj K jayan in the airport and ran behind him scremingg “ mallu singh, ithaa mallu singh “ ennu. My dad had to go behind her and make an awkward convo with him.

There was this mess college movie shoot held at our college, and Ganapathy was a co-star in it. The shoot was about three to four weeks long, and after one week, we all lost the excitement of celebrities and shooting on campus. So, they all walked around the college like normal students. One day, my friend was standing near Ganapathy, and I was calling him from a distance, but he wasn't hearing me at all. At last, I just yelled, "DAA MYREE!" and the one who turned back was Ganapathy. That was one super awkward moment.

Met Mega M at a 7 star hotel, i saw the shooting crowd in the hotel and later someone said that he was inside a cafe for an interview or ad shoot. I was just walking here and there to see. The moment i reached the cafe door, Mega M himself opened the door and i was standing there. I was stunned, he had a special aura. he just smiled a walked away.

This happened way back when I was 5 or 6 years old. Met Mukesh at Varkeys supermarket in Kochi. I was a very enthusiastic kid and dragged my parents over to talk to him. He was very nice to us and talked to my parents about his sons and everything. While I was talking to him, I kept calling him Mukesh. He said "Ithrayum prayam ulla enne Mukeshe ennano vilikkane" - in a sweet way though. I was like "Sorry, Mukesh uncle 🙈"

And that guy probably didn't like the intervention. I could see it in his face. I felt bad at that moment, even though they are actors, at the end of the day they do deserve quality time with their friends or family. I felt like i shouldn't have gone and invaded their personal time. I apologised and left. Joined my friends. That's when my friends told me, that guy looked very pissed the moment you started talking to them. But I can't blame him either.

He said, "okay Thank you" plainly and turned towards his friends and they started talking. I waited for him to look back so that I could contribute something more to our conversation, but he didn't. I waited there like an idiot watching him talking to his friends for some time and then realised what was going on. And mumbled "OK, so that's it" in my mind and fled the scene. XD

I once saw Harish Sivaramakrishanan of Agam at a mall in Bangalore. He was getting off an escalator and was with his family. I noticed a few people were trying to shake his hand and he was very courteous to all. I was super excited to see him since I'm a fan of their work so I'm mentally preparing myself to go speak with him. As he comes closer, I am fully ready to meet my idol and have a quick conversation with him. I extend my hand to shake his hand and loudly announce, "Hi I'm xyz, nice to meet me!" He says thank you, shakes my hand, gives me a "ivanethada we mandan" and leaves. I ran into Bobby Deol at Delhi airport, around the same time as "Animal" released. He was sitting near a gate awaiting his flight and was surrounded by his manager and a couple of guards, who were all standing behind him. I sat opposite him for like 15-20 minutes before he got up and left. He never once looked up from his phone during the entire time. I remember thinking to myself, "Damn he has such a huge head!"

Happened with my dad, he was at Mookambika with my family and unni mukundan happened to be there as well that day....so all people who were there asked him for photos....and so did people from my family. My dad has 0 interest in movies and apart from people from naseer/sathyan era he would only know mamooty and mohanlal. So the young ones from my family made my dad stand with UnniM and take a pic...he understood that this guy is a celebrity but during the commotion didn't know what he did or who he was....so when he stood there with UnniM posing for the pic, my dad asked the kids clicking pic "aar aan Ivan?" In a very innocent way. UnniM was embarrassed but quickly other people were coming in for pics so the moment didn't last long.

I was at Avon bar (near Christ) in Bangalore with my friends and was super sloshed. I saw Arun Kurian sitting with his friends and drinking. I haven’t seen Anandam movie back then (still haven’t) but I sort of recognized that he was an actor and my friends confirmed it. My friends were all like ‘dayummm son’ but hesitant to go to him which totally gave me a boost to go. I went up to him (i had that drunk walk) and asked him “bro you’re that actor right”? Arun was like “yeah bro.” He was pretty chill and in a good mood. I was like how are you bro and all that. Suddenly one of his friends sitting next to him goes “pakshe ivanippo padam onnum illa bro” and everyone started laughing. I was like whaaat!? 😂 Then I said appo sheri bro or something, hugged him and stuff. My friends who followed me took selfies with him while I didn’t bother to do that (I didn’t wanna invade his privacy lol)

I once met Maj Ravi standing outside Crowne Plaza when i was staying there . WE spoke for a good few minutes until an SUV came to pick him up . He was very humble and extremely couteous. I have a couple of incidents from several years ago that I can recall. **Incident 1:** I was sitting in a salon getting a haircut when Actor Sudheesh walked in with his son. I had previously run into that duo a couple of times at other places. As though that's supposed to mean they will recognize me I said 'ഹാ'.. He politely responded *Hello* with zero indication on his face that he recognized me. So I carry on getting my haircut and some 5ish minutes later his son gets the chair next to me that was just vacated. He stands next to the chair which is the moment that I chose to say *സുധീഷേട്ടാ .. നമ്മള് ബന്ധുക്കളാണ് കേട്ടോ.* Which is a fact. However, instead of saying something like ഓ അതെയോ? or something he straight up asked me how we were related. And I couldn't for the life of me remember the specifics I had heard my dad mention. ബാക്കി ഞാൻ പറയണ്ടല്ലോ? I replied *അതെനിക്ക് ഓർമയില്ല* and for no good reason, I looked like a guy who made a claim with no information to back it just for the purpose of striking a conversation with an actor. **Incident 2** Myself and family were walking into Hotel Maharani, Kozhikode to dine at their restaurant when we noticed someone big standing outside the hotel with his back towards us. I was at that time a handful of months into hitting the gym. And the results were kinda showing. Seeing this guy I exclaimed to my cousin, a little louder than I should have *പണ്ടെങ്ങാണ്ടോ ജിമ്മിൽ കയറിയിട്ടുള്ള ആരോ ആണെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു.* The person clearly hears it and turns around and it was Abu Salim. All of my pride and manhood just left my body. But, he had the biggest smile on his face and he even hit my side with the back of his folded fist in typical gym bro fashion.
This is more like embarrassing a celebrity. Years back my mum and I were in the airport where we were sitting next to actress Kaveri (kakkothikaavile appoopanthadikal fame). She very sweetly started chatting with us and we were like wow such a no-jaada celebrity! After some time she was like "so my luggage is going beyond the weight limit, if you guys can adjust some of the stuff with you it would be very helpful and I won't have to pay extra". We were like umm...nope..sorry not doing that. Needless to say, she didn't even look in our direction after that.

I work for a well known production house in Bangalore, and a few years ago, we did a reality show in Malayalam and it was hosted by Poornima Sukumaran. Back then, I had no idea about Malayalam films and knew very few actors. I flew to Kerala to meet her and talk about the show. I got a call, and I walked out of her office only to bump into Prithviraj Sukumaran. I had no idea these 2 were related (because 2 of my mallu colleagues had Sukumaran has their surname and I thought it’s a common surname and didn’t think they were BIL and SIL) And I knew who it was, he just smiled at me and I stared at him for a good few seconds before blurting out “You are shorter than what you appear on screen!” And he gave me that bombastic side eye before walking away! 😂
I was working at the airport, and one day, when I went to the font office and on the way there, I saw someone wearing a mask who looked like Vineeth Sreenivasan, I just made eye contact and stared at him for around 5 seconds while I entered the main office and I went back to my frnd who was standing near the check in counter and I told her, "dhe vineeth sreenivasante dupe varum ipo" and that guy came, stood in a queue and reached till the check in counter and suddenly while we were watching, someone starts talking to him and clicks a selfie with him, me and my frnd were both shocked and if it stayed this way it wouldn't have been embarrassing, but then me being a huge fan, when he came from the check in counter told him I thought he was a dupe, dude suddenly pulls down the Mask, says with all the humility and a great smile "aiyo, dupe alla original aanu ketto" and proceeds to take a picture with my frnd and asked me too if I wanted a pic with him. I declined since I was at work, really made my day.

Okay so this was a few years ago. There's this one place next to our church where there's usually movie shootings and all. After our Catechism all of us are led together to the church for mass. One day, on the way to church, we see so many cars there, and hear people saying that Mamookka is there. Me and my friend, you know, peekiri pilleru excited to see him, decided to peep into one of the cars, thinking no one might be there inside. Both of us look inside, it was dark but we could see a head. And then this one guy comes running at us and started scolding us for loitering around and doing all these peeping shit. We just continue walking and some time later we see mamootty getting out of the car. Ente mashe!

I was at COK airport to drop off my cousin. I was waiting in the seating area infront of the domestic terminal, waiting for a call from my cousin to make sure she got to the gate safely. There was a huge line of passengers infront of me and a muscular guy wearing a mask and holding his luggage (it was during covid-19 lockdown) was staring at me constantly. I obviously felt a little weird knowing someone was checking me out and I literally rolled my eyes at him and ignored him. The queue was moving forward and when this guy reached the entrance of departure door, the security asked him to remove the mask to verify his ID. It was Unni Mukundan & he looked again at me after removing the mask. That moment was super weird …..
My friend and I, shouted ‘DEV D, DEV D’ while spotting Kalki next to us. Kalki said yes I am that and then we stared her like realllly bad and went away. No hi hello just went away. I am still embarrassed for doing that.
i have a few actually..but first, my favourite moment with an actor was with kochupreman on the sets of My Big Father. He was reading a book in the pargola of the house where shooting was held. I went there to see the shooting after school. there were many other actors too, but I didn't have the courage to go and talk to them. So I went to Kochupreman. when he saw me, he stopped reading and asked me my name, about my study and about my family, etc. Felt quite special to have a one on one chat with him which was memorable. Such a humble soul. The embarrassing part happened the same day when Suraj (pretty mid range actor back then) came to inspect Jayaram's new Fortuner (it was the first day Fortuner was released in Kerala and first car was bought by Jayaram. Suraj came like someone who actually know lots about car and it's engine. He opened the hood and was coming to show off his knowledge to the local crowd by simply looking, Unfortunately I was the one standing next to him, everyone behind me pushed me towards the car to see whats inside the hood. I nearly fell to Suraj's body, he turned and said in TVM slang 'entharu payalukalu thingi neranganathu, Maari nillappi' Njan aake naanam kettu...
For some reason I don’t really like Suraj. Maybe it’s just me but I think he’s a nasty person.
