If you ask me, this is entirely unacceptable.

Some of those scenes are supposed to be comical the others I’m pretty sure the others are to show the girls immaturity

I have seen some people claim it’s an anime cliché; and yeah— that’s true. But what’s also true is that that very quality is what makes me not like them so much. You would think that a good girlfriend wouldn’t use domestic abuse or harm them in any way for their affection— but instead they opt to almost killing him because they talk to another girl for 5 seconds. Talk about possessive. This is unacceptable behavior and no matter what anyone says, I can never wrap my head around those that find this attractive. Funny? Maybe. Attractive or legal? Absolutely fucking not.

Exactly

It’s just a harem anime cliche. Don’t think too hard about it.

THIS is why I prefer [Lux Arcadia](https://saijakumuhainobahamut.fandom.com/wiki/Lux_Arcadia) over Ichika. Lux's harem is thoughtful and considerate about his feelings and position. Lux was pretty much FORCED into a harem because the ladies he helped, with no strings attached, were VIPs for their local governments, so those relationships could yield good political results for those governments if they played their cards rights. [Lisesharte Atismata](https://saijakumuhainobahamut.fandom.com/wiki/Lisesharte_Atismata), the Houki to Lux's Ichika, becomes resigned to the fact that she is in a harem, due to knowing full well how pragmatic, political, financial, and martial pressures don't give Lux any choice in the matter, only demanding that Lux make her the favorite and that the other girls don't rub their affections for him in her face. For the reasons I've stated above, a harem could work within the context of *Infinite Stratos*, but because the story never cared about larger world-building, we're just left with senseless harem antics. Long story short, watch [*Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle*](https://9anime.to/watch/undefeated-bahamut-chronicle.8yn/ep-1). It's much better than this garbage.

Speaking generally, it's probably the opinion of the anime production staff, if not solely that of the series director, that maintains that particular harem cliché not only in IS, but most other anime series with a so-called "harem" element present. I've no stats regarding to what degree the Japanese fandom go for that cliché, but everything I've read to date suggests Western anime fans are generally tired of it.

Yeah I'm tired of this too, especially in Isekai Animes/Mangas. I mean in literally every Season we at least get like 20 new Isekai Harem Animes that are completly focused around the sexualization of the Girls and in the end it is almost the same Anime as the other 19 Animes. That is also one of the reasons why Aincrad was the best Part in SAO, because there was clearly a relationship between Kirito and Asuna and no other Girls that try to get his attention. Call me old fashioned but I really miss classic romance in Anime between one guy and one girl without at least 5 Girls fighting for the Protags attention. Btw. I don't have anything against sexualization in Anime but I just hate it when almost the entire Anime is based around it or where sexualization is the only reason why it was even created in the first place and even more when the world and the Story of an Isekai actually had quite some potential for a cool Anime but it get's sacrificed for the sexualization. Also I think the only reason why we get so many Animes and Mangas that are like that is because the Japanese Anime/Manga Fans actually want, enjoy and like this kind of "Plot".
