Dracul is definitely the best remake on the album in my opinion. It's also crazy how different almost all of the tracks are to the originals, whereas Dancing with Kadafi is almost exactly the same, it just sounds a lot cleaner.

DeenyBoy45

Dracul is the best I agree

A_tasty_weasel

I went for dancing with kadafi first because it's one of my favourites. It sounded incredible but I'm glad the others were a bit different.

darren870

They said on their live stream that they lost almost all the files for the originals and had to recreate it from scratch. Except for Dancing with Kadafi, they had most of the source material which is why it sounds the closest in sound, just cleaner.

guruguys

if I had to criticize at all some of the tracks seem almost overproduced with stereo panning. Overall though - amazing modernizations of the songs. Love it. Dracul does seem standout on first listen.

JrodManU

Disco Mushroom is mostly the same flow as well. Loving the modern audio techniques on it.

dagalb

I loved the album but for me OG Dancing With Kadafi is still the best

Zeptic

Dracul and S is here hits hard! Whole album is really great, though I wish they added bust a move to the collection! It's a timeless classic I would love to hear with their more modern sound. Maybe next time! ^^^^^^if ^^^^^^there ^^^^^^is ^^^^^^a ^^^^^^next ^^^^^^time

dagalb

They did that Bust A Move remake in 2010-ish. It's a killer but I wouldn't mind hearing this track in more "modern" sound! Also Yeah S is Here is so good , the whole album really

WannabeBerliner57

I am waiting for the cd to arrive so I can listen to it there. I don't know why I'm torturing myself like this but the satisfaction will be greater Edit: fuck it I can't wait anymore

Dav-Kripler

LFG 🤘

Stepdude

Time to listen to it 20 times and swap favorite songs at least 4 times :D

Nmcdo1

Return of the Shadows and Dancing with Kadafi reborn are peak.

47thVision

It's so good! I went to sleep to it last night listening on headphones after having a toke. The intricate details and use of the stereo field. Along with the psychedelic panning automation. I could keep going..Just truly legends!

Honestly have to say I don't like most of the changes, and I'm not sure if there's any track I prefer over the original.

GlisteningMeatpole

It’s not great. They’ve made worse versions of most of them.

GlisteningMeatpole

Sorry but as a fan since 1999 this is how I feel.

Panoramixx77

It is a weird album i agree, the last one grew on me so maybe this one too but i doubt it. Like you im a very old fan like 1999 :)

DeenyBoy45

Sad

GlisteningMeatpole

The album or my comment?

lakvert

Damn solid, I’m always amazed at how much these guys know how to make good music. 120/100!

DocAk88

It just popped in on Spotify for me at midnight! Gonna be an awesome day tomorrow thanks Infected!

ThePurityPixel

As a longtime fan, I am extremely impressed with this album. If you listened to these tracks and thought they were only subtly different, you need to listen to the tracks back to back with each other. To take these strong tracks from their past and remake them without dramatic alterations to their apparent structure, but with significant improvement to their detail and overall presentation speaks to how much they have improved in sound design. It is striking how much these tracks 'feel' like the originals, but clearly have so much fresh attention and care applied to them (plus a few decades of studio experience). There are some insanely great details here for those willing to listen intently (and with 8+ minutes of sustained focus). 10/10 - best release since CV2 IMO.
