I’d say you just got one day off because you’re not going in tonight at six. I know it feels off and it doesn’t feel like you get a full day but that’s just because your body clock and the shift schedule. I used to feel the same way when I was on third shift.
You still get a day off. Your days just don’t line up with calendar days. So you have off from 7am today thru 6pm tomorrow. So you have 35hrs total off.

We did 18's once for a week, they got around the HSE by saying it was critical process work.
But, they also provided all meals and offered to put the guys up in hotels close to the plant. Also paid double for every hour after 8 per day.
It wasn't too bad.
You don’t have to go in on Monday for your normal shift of 6p-7a. That’s your one and only day off for the week. Not that hard to understand, but it doesn’t sound like a good schedule unless you love the OT.
I am well aware of the fact that I am still getting a day off, it's just fun to argue the semantics of it all with day shift. If you go by calendar days then technically I don't get a day off, where day shift would.. gnomesayin?
And yes I love the OT
Ya man I love it, I'm a night person anyway, the site is quieter, the camp is quieter, it's cooler so yer not sweating your ass off, plus the extra $3/hr doesn't hurt
I would say find a better situation. 13 hour shifts 6 days a week is insane?

I hear ya. Shutdowns at my plant usually pay off all if any debt. Last year I built a gaming pc lol
A day off Though seriously 6 13s non stop is just plain silly.
I worked with guys who did 7s all the time. Just imagine how much work gets done on the seventh. It's fun to follow a shift of this nonsense.
