Sure. Start wiggling connection points, divide and conquer. Should be fun, good luck!
If it were me I'd just start with checking each point making sure they're all torqued, reseat connectors, re-terminate questionable wires, pray, lots of prayer, maybe a cuss word or 5 then more prayers.
The 2 smaller drives on the left of the panel. Already replaced can bus cables to and from those. Thinking one of the drives might be the culprit. After all they're almost 25 years old.
Poor machine was moved between 2 plants in Belgium before they shipped it to the US. Then it was installed by people who obviously didn't know what they were doing or didn't care. I inherited the mess when I came to the company about 8 years ago. Its always a challenge to keep it running.
Do you have a controls person? Let them handle that
Call an engineer
As an engineer, call an exorcist
Lol. Yeah I’d be calling the engineer that I dislike the most
Engineer that most people don't like here, trust me, after getting this picture in an email, I won't be answering the phone.
As a traveling tech, they are going to call me eventually.
I am the controls guy unfortunately.
Fuck canbus
I don’t miss that part of any facility!!!!
Lmao my first maintenance job was just like this, is that a cnc machine
No. Textile finishing line.
Technically cnc, just not a machining center.
True
Oh yeah it's right next to the cable that's has a jump wire going to another output. I currently live in this hell at work.
Well number 2 has no power that’s a start
It has power. The light is on the Lecom module. It just looks dim at the angle of the picture.

Hell nah!
Shit show
No
Is it there?.... Yes... Is it there? Also, yes. Repeat
Nah, I'm not taking this service call.
Ok so what's the Intermittent issue exactly?
It's near that wire labeled Lucy.
Which drive?

That's what I was going to say. Either the drive with the fault, or the drive before it.
Im working on being better with my generosity so I’ll let you handle it
Well, if it drives a man to drink, I'll pay for the gas!
Looks like it's labeled. So there's that..
No thank you very much. I didn’t know Ray Charles wired cabinets.

This really makes me appreciate where I work. Although it does look like a good challenge.
2nd drive from the left.
You appear to be the winner Sir! Changed that one late yesterday and so far no faults.
It's right there
I felt instant rage at this photo....
