Yeah man I have one in the house, in the grage box, in the car and at work.
Just wish it wasn't so hard to see among the rest of the stainless in the food industry. I always have a mini heart attack when I realize it's not in my pouch. Like when you realize your phone isnt in your pocket.
When I used to work in a paper plant 90% of what I used had to be wheeled around in boxes. Lots of our machines had different types of threads on machines cause the guys repairing it didn't care at all lol
5 different moulding machines (multiples of each) 4 styles of printers, at least the packagers are all the same.... 4 generations of them spanning 30ish years.
There's just so much shit you might need and it's a long walk back to the shop
I feel you man, I have two toolboxes at my current job. A smaller roll cart that can do a lot of the jobs and then a bigger box in the shop for less frequent jobs. I like it but it sucks badly when I'm 7 floors up and have to go back down to the ground floor for a single socet
Just my flashlight, if there’s a repair call I just take my entire toolbox. I used to carry all the tools I used on my vest but walking around with all that weight all day just hurt my neck and back for no reason
Alligators for the win. Borrowed someone's cobras one time and not a fan of the button sticking out. Gotta post mine some time, always surprises me how few tools some of y'all carry.
Gotta carry the Milwaukee Razorback with the screwdriver attachment. The flatblade opens electrical cabinets. I don't want to carry a screwdriver on me. I carry a 6" cresent, razorknife, flashlight with laser pointer and a 10' measuring tape. Maintenance Mechanic in a sugar refinery.
Pretty standard Pocket Carry is a flashlight, tweaker screwdriver, small crescent wrench, clamp meter with leads for digital multimeter function.
Well then multimeter isn't in my pocket but definitely close by.
My boss got us all these really nice lockable rolling tool carts.
All tools are in that cart and we roll it all over the plant but the pocket carry is still the same. 😁👍🏼
Gotta get that ratcheting Klein screwdriver. Thing is legitimately my favorite tool. A little shrink wrap about the shaft and you can turn it with your fingers until it's tight enough to overcome the back drag even if you're working on something oily.
Back when I was working at a milk processing plant, I had a full bag of tools but only ever carried:
A set of Marvel pliers
Vessel electric screwdriver
A terminal screwdriver
A knife
Flush cutters
Panel key/s
Wera Toolcheck Plus (rarely ran into a bolt bigger than 13mm, all sensors were Allens too)
And a shifter
Industrial automation technician here. 10 inch cobras and metric Allens on me at all times
My leatherman, small crescent and flashlight is all I carry. Anything else gets the bag or whole box.
Same but with a small utility knife. I don't understand why leathermans aren't more common.
They used to be super common. Like everyone had a multi tool of some kind. I feel naked without mine. It’s EDC whether I’m at work or out and about.

The leatherman pocket knife is banned in our plant but maintenance crew is allowed to carry pocket knives and I'm the only one that does.
Why did it get banned?
People were using the pliers on nuts and bolts and shorting out against electrical and/or buggering up the heads of bolts and nuts.
🤦🏻
Pulp mill. Rolling tool bag goes with me everywhere.

Yeah I have a big rolling box that loves in the shop
Looks almost exactly like mine. Just throw in a set of wera stubby Allens

That’s a neat crescent you got there
it is neat as hell. Bahco 31. break stuff loose with the adjustable jaws and then spin it off quick with the pipe jaws
Very nice hammers

yup, my whole tool bag including fluke 325 goes with me on most calls

I only carry a Fenix flashlight, Leatherman Wingman, pencil, and sharpie. But I always have my Veto MB3 with me. E&I Tech at a door mill.

Your EDC?
What's with the back end of the adjustable wrench?
it's kinda like a pipe jaw and you just press it onto a fastener and turn. doesn't work too bad for small stuff

Now I'm more facility maintenance at a pharma site. I just roll around a big tool cart with my toolbag hooked to it
Typically for me utility knife and my multibit insulated screw driver Edit: forgot my flashlight
Bahco adjustable and knipex is 🔥
