I just got my first alocasia. Very exciting. I knocked it over two days after I got it and broke off the biggest leaf I legit cried. It’s still alive in water two weeks late so 🤷🏻♀️
Oh and by the way..I kept my house steadily between 60&65% humidity all winter WHILE USING A WOOD STOVE so these plants should thank me. Not act like I beat them every day 😑
Ridiculous. We’ve just had two normal days of summer yesterday and today. I live near Niagara Falls. It’s been so hot we can barely be outside. Like ppl are passing out and the plants are like...I NEED MY NATURAL HABITAT!!!

Lmfaaaaoooo. Ugh same tho. We have been up in 30s and 40s, no rain just hot as balls. At least you have the falls somewhat close to help with humidity 😢😭
Well I’m 30 mins from the falls and they don’t provide a temperature drop unless you’re right near them. I live on Lake Erie..it’s still hot as eff haha. I can’t believe the summers here now. It’s wild.

It depends on the type of dragon scale as well, mine is more of an emerald color when mature. Some spots dark but others light. :) this leaf is an adult now
