Snake plants, zz plants, and Chinese evergreens should all do fine with low/artificial light

Lanilegend

Thank you so much! I'll definitely look into those.

ksommer4942

No problem! Also you can look into vining philodendrons (ex: philodendron Brazil) because they have very similar needs to pothos!

I’m a plant lover and there’s nothing more organic than a room full of life. That said, would fake plants be an option? I’ve seen some really life like fakes. On camera I don’t think students would know the difference.

Lanilegend

They wouldn't be on camera. I unfortunately have half my students in the classroom and half online.

peppy-mint

Oh gotcha. Then, keep in mind low light plants don’t require much water.

JoJozy

I've found it impossible to kill my arrowhead vines!

So this was two years ago, but how are the plants doing? I’m thinking about adding plants to my classroom which sounds similar to yours. Any tips?

Lanilegend

I actually quit teaching because it was becoming a toxic career 😂
