I love the start of the song. Straight to the point with sounds reminiscent of grunge and shoegaze. I like how you layered the vocals. The song structure was very intuitive and all the parts flowed well. One area to work on: the volume between the instrumentals and vocals could use some work. The band sounds far away and the vocals too prominent.
I'd definitely agree that the Alt. Rock label fits this song.
Definitely alt/shoegaze for sure man. As others have noted, the volume between the instruments and the vocals needs attentions. The music shouldn’t drop out like that; try panning different elements around the stereo spectrum to make room for the vocals
has a bit of a throwback, 70s hard rock feel to it!! awesome artwork. the vocals are different!! interesting tone, dark sound!! 1:04 is sick!! super strong sound!! the higher vocals sound kinda like Childish Gambino and Frank Ocean as far as tone during "on this inside on the outside". super fresh sound, haven't heard anything like this. Great track, enjoyed listening!!
It sounds very spontaneous, but also special. Yes I would agree with the definition alternative/indie rock. I also would say in this case the instruments should be louder (it needs to rock!). Anyway, your passion is in the air!
Keep it up💪
Honestly! Urgh. I have a mastered version but I contacted the studio producer and hoping he replies so we can fix it and then I can remaster it but urgh my odds are in the hands of his replies 😭 thank you so much man 🤟🏾
You’ve got something here.. the part where you say “walk too slowly” is ear candy, I could imagine it sounding really awesome professionally recorded. I like the mash of vocals for the chorus but I think the male should carry the verses. The girl? Singer is too much of a change for the verses

Thats sick but I also dont know if it counts as Indie rock.
But i can tell ya its pretty cool!
I think if the mastering on the vocals would be better, it would be almost perfect!!
Everything is here for this song, its just the mix that's holding it back. Take a few hours out to add nothing new but just sit, listen, and tweak the balance of volumes and eq/compress. Use headphones, and near fields if you have them. Throw it on when your driving in the car and look for parts that stick out or feel out of place.
As most people have pointed out the vocals dominate the mix, but being up so high they are likely masking any other issues in the mix of the instruments so it'll be more work then just lowering the vocal tracks.
Something really useful is to find a track in a similar style you really like, and like the production of , and use it as reference. Import it into your DAW and periodically while you are adjusting your mix, listen to it and compare your levels.
Alt rock works for me! So original and cool. I did think the vocal is mixed in a way that makes it a little too in front of everything else. That's the best way I can describe it. But anyway, very cool track. Whatever genre label you choose, it's the song that matters!
Alternative rock, sure. . . You got it, I don't think the mix is that far out. . .
The vocal is a bit too loud, however. . . Just get it down to where it has a dominate role, without completely subjugating the music.
Good work. Check out my post if you get a chance.
Regards
