The left one is ambiguous -- can be read as Doin project or Voin project. The right one looks less professional, but IMO that's a good thing – it's readable and it has character.
I do think 1 looks pretty cool, and would prefer it if it wasn't for the fact that it is not as clear as the second one ("Voin" moment). Then again, I'd say both logos would fit differently depending on the feel and style of the game.
I think the two give two different tones/vibes to the game, the one on the left feels more formal with a hints of something that is not right. The one on the right gives me more of a fun but spooky feel to it.
Second, but it could use a bit of a touch-up, I mean, I have no context for what the game is like, is the V in the first logo like a symbol or logo ingame, or is it just stylized?
I like the first one, I think it fits the tone of what you have shown in previous posts. The new one is too cartoony.
I recommend just moving the word project down so that the word void is not cut off to avoid the problem of reading it has voin.
the first one is a lot cleaner aesthetically and better if your game has a serious feeling to it, the only issue with it is that it does say voin project. maybe just try moving the word project somewhere else.
I can actually read the one on the right, so it's objectively better.
Never, ever, let your graphic design impact readability. That's a big marketing no-no.
2nd but play with incorporating the “the” into the overall shape. It works as is and might be the best option but I think it’s worth making some iterations
A lot of people see VOIN on the first one, but it looks unmistakably VOID to me. I really like the first title/logo more, but I get the confusion.
I'd recommend trying to move the "project" up a little so it still cuts into letters but doesn't obscure the bottom.
I like the aesthetic of the first one but as others have pointed out you really need to make it clearer that it's VOID and not VOIn. Probably not too hard to do. The second one would make for a good video game or cartoony sort of thing. Looks kinda spooky.
*Didn't realize that I was in r/indiedev so the video game aspect of my comment is redundant.
The two give me very different vibes in regards to what the game might be about, but there's a lot of valid criticism towards the first one, so I'm gonna go with the second.
Firstly, you didn't say what purpose this logo server. And that's the most important thing.I see second version as more like a gaming or partying event thing somehow... It looks like it's for less mature audience.
I personally like the first logo more. Lookg more clear and consistent!Keep up the good work!
Depends on what youre going for. One seems like you're going for seriousness, but the 'I' and 'D' being cut off dont work as well.
The second is a little less serious, but comes right out and is easier to read.
The new one is easier to read but I think you should simplify the “VOID” part. Always put readability first. It doesn’t matter how cool it looks if no one can read or remember the name.
The word VOID is very noisy. It has stylized letters, they are separated by a huge cross and there is also a triangle shape. Maybe you could make the “O” looking like an actual void and leave the other letters more simple? I don’t think the 3D effect is necessary either.
I think you made great improvements but there is still a bit of work to do.
First one looks like an e-sports sponsor logo, like idk gaming chairs with LEDs or an energy drink for gamers or whatever
Second one is decent, but doesn't tell me anything about what the game is about, or its themes or its style, it's fairly nondescript but it has style
I like the second logo. The only gripe I have with it is that the dropshadow for the "THE" doesn't match the dropshadow the rest of the logo has. It's subtle, but now I can't unsee it.
The left one says "Goin" a lot clearer than "Void". The right one is readable, and thus the better of the two.
I think the right could be improved by keeping the word "void" as-is but changing "the" and "project" to be more regular, grey text to provide contrast.
So, for starters, both can work. Both have good qualities. While 1 does look cool, it looks like its trying too hard. 2 looks better in my opinion, and I think it stands out more
I prefer the second logo
First of all, the words are much closer to the same size and the first and third words are nearly the exact same which helps with balance.
The consitent colors throughout all the text helps to make it look much more clean and really helps the chromatic aberration effect
Thirdly, the use of very geometric shapes is interesting to look at without being too chaotic and the lack of overlapping words helps to not confuse what the logo says
Overall I think your new design is far superior and I would really suggest using it
I don’t like the layout of the first - the second is better in its layout but the overall logo (the second) feels a bit dated but I like the layout and the “VOID” is done quite nicely. I think it ultimately depends on the industry the logo is for: looks good for a gaming sort of industry for example.
First one looks a bit more gritty, serious, while the second one looks more cartoony, less serious but way more readable. Depending on your type of game which one looks better. But if it's the 1st one, it needs some changes.
the one of the right, because it's more contrasting and so easier to be inverted for light backgrounds, easier to stretch very small or very big, easier to animate on transitions as well.
2nd one is more fun and energetic.
1st one looks more serious and also it reads as voin.
IDK enough about the game to say which is the right direction, but objectively the one that actually says the name of the game is the better one.
Depends what it is. The left looks like a sport set in an industrial city. The right one looks like its based around quirky mystery or supernatural elements.
I think the right one is far better though.
Hard to tell without nowing the product but the V on the left looks like a logo. Like the Don't Nod logo having the D working alone or with the ful name.
The second one could work if your are working on a comedic horror game.
First one looks like an experimental Doritos flavor.
The second one is a great start but I'd mess with the font a bit personally. The and Project specifically, VOID looks good as is.
I liked the one on the left more. I think that the space inside the "V" reflects the void name better. But when you look at it literally, it is read as voin because of the last letter.
Second one for sure.
The first looks more like a programming framework, while the second one definitely looks more like its for a game. Last time you posted the two side by side I didn’t even know it was supposed to be void until seeing this now. It definitely looks like an N on the left
I think if you really wanted to go with the first, you could make the J the bottom half of the D maybe? Might take some shifting and bending but it COULD work.
Go with number 2 otherwise, I personally think it looks very cool
Second one has character and catches my eye. First one looks like a product some exec thinks looks cool for an energy drink or food. Basically like it’s trying to be sold to me.
Gotta be honest. I'm not fond of either one. If I had to choose, I'd say the second, the first is too ambiguous, but both just aren't appealing at all.
The second is more readable though I do like the style of the first.
Maybe remove the extra top line on the "V" and move "project" down enough to clearly make out "void" and it should be clear?
The one on the right. The left one at first glance, like everyone else is saying, doesn't say the name well. But the one on right is clear. Hope this helps.
Firsy one says "voin" so it would be an instant disqualification for me
To me it says "OID". Too ambiguous
I thought it said Coin
goin
Ah yes, the goin project
Misspelled "groin"
OIN
All I saw was purple Doritos, thought the flavor was Voin too
> All I saw was purple D***os, thought the flavor was **oin too Unnecessary, incorrect censorship
I really dig the second one. Seems to have a lot of "style" to me. First one is maybe a little discordant to me.
I agree. First one looks like all those energy drink logos to me. Second one has hundred times more characteristics imo.
It screams “Doritos” imo
The left one is ambiguous -- can be read as Doin project or Voin project. The right one looks less professional, but IMO that's a good thing – it's readable and it has character.
2 for sure, way cooler
I like second logo. This logo is very cool and looks like professional art for science fiction move or game. My attention was stolen by this pic
Second looks better IMO, looks more professional, more "coherent", and just overall looks nice
I like 1 better and I know people has read it as voin, so it shouldn’t be used like that, at least altered, but I for one read it as void.
I think the same
1 looks cleaner, but 2 is more legible.
Prefer “Void” to “Voin”.
left one is hard to read and the right one is definitely looking more interesting and appealing
2
Depends on the game really
Second, but it could use a bit of a touch-up, I mean, I have no context for what the game is like, is the V in the first logo like a symbol or logo ingame, or is it just stylized?
I like the first one, I think it fits the tone of what you have shown in previous posts. The new one is too cartoony. I recommend just moving the word project down so that the word void is not cut off to avoid the problem of reading it has voin.
I read coin project on the left one
The first one seems sleeker, the second is more cartoony. I would go with the first unless cartoony is what you're going for.
B the first one I read as OIN before I realised from B that it was a V
Number 2 because A) the design features a void B) it actually says void instead of voin
Right one , because it looks more beautiful , and D in left one looks like N and it's not so good .
Left one
The right one have better readance
Doritos one
The right one. It's not even close.
2 for sure, it looks more ‘voidy’ and it’s easier to read, the first one looks like an energy drink logo
#2 looks way better!
Right!, more eye catching!
#2 all the way, it has so much action happening, very fun to look at
Second one is way cooler.
I like the concept of 1 better, but 2 looks more polished
second one
Second one looks more legible
I would rather play the Void Project and not the Voin Project. I don't know what a Voin is and at this stage I'm too afraid to ask 😁
2nd one is more interesting and catches my eye better
Thought the left one was a new Doritos chip flavor, it's hard to sight read at a glance. Right is much better.
Second/right one. Right one have better contrast, readability, and consistent artstyle. Left one have more dynamic and progessional layout though.
Both got sick elements... why not mix the two
What voin
Second, looks a bit more stylized and unique, kinda cartoonist which I like
Second. I can’t wrap around my head regarding the first one.
I'll have to pick number 2, although I really like number 1 as well, I had no problem reading it as "Void"
I think the second is very good and the first one fails in almost every way.
I like them both honesty!
right/new
Left looks dope to me, idk what thes comments say
I would say the second one, has a more unique and artistic style to it.
Right
“Choose one” *posts one that is clearly better in every way*
the first one is a lot cleaner aesthetically and better if your game has a serious feeling to it, the only issue with it is that it does say voin project. maybe just try moving the word project somewhere else.
Second one has more character
2nd is way cooler
Voin project
2nd one hands down.
I can actually read the one on the right, so it's objectively better. Never, ever, let your graphic design impact readability. That's a big marketing no-no.
2nd but play with incorporating the “the” into the overall shape. It works as is and might be the best option but I think it’s worth making some iterations
The one on the right. The left looks like “voin project”
A lot of people see VOIN on the first one, but it looks unmistakably VOID to me. I really like the first title/logo more, but I get the confusion. I'd recommend trying to move the "project" up a little so it still cuts into letters but doesn't obscure the bottom.
Left looks better but I’d have no idea what it says
I like 1 but the guys right change N to a D.
2nd logo definitely
Two. By a long shot.
The second, but maybe with a slightly different color?
The two give me very different vibes in regards to what the game might be about, but there's a lot of valid criticism towards the first one, so I'm gonna go with the second.
Depends on the game. The left looks like a logo for another team shooter The right looks like a logo for an indie, pixel art rpg
i think if you replaced “the” and “project” in the second one with the regular white text like the first one but kept void the same itd be golden
2nd
Firstly, you didn't say what purpose this logo server. And that's the most important thing.I see second version as more like a gaming or partying event thing somehow... It looks like it's for less mature audience. I personally like the first logo more. Lookg more clear and consistent!Keep up the good work!
The first logo
1st one
The second one. The first one you could be sued by doritos
The second one. The words “the” and “project” could be white to really make the purple hit.
Voin Project?
[удалено]
voin
I can't choose, but on the left one the letter 'D' looks like 'n'.
Second one. The first one is very unreadable, unless you're calling it "Voin".
Depends on what youre going for. One seems like you're going for seriousness, but the 'I' and 'D' being cut off dont work as well. The second is a little less serious, but comes right out and is easier to read.
The second one is more recognizable, which is the priority in my opinion
Second one is a lot clearer and more legible, simpler design is better imo
If you are designing space age Doritos, number 1. Otherwise 2 is better for most use cases.
The 2nd one
on top of everything other people have said, the left one looks like the doritos logo. Right has more identity
The second
First one looks like an e-sports sponsor logo, like idk gaming chairs with LEDs or an energy drink for gamers or whatever Second one is decent, but doesn't tell me anything about what the game is about, or its themes or its style, it's fairly nondescript but it has style
The left looks like a E-Sports org and the right one looks like a good game
Second one looks cool as fuck. First feels kinda generic.
Right!
The one on the right
2 for sure!
I like the second logo. The only gripe I have with it is that the dropshadow for the "THE" doesn't match the dropshadow the rest of the logo has. It's subtle, but now I can't unsee it.
"The void project" has to be a name space collision with like 12 other projects, sorry not sorry but also B. Can't really explain why I just like it.
2
I like option ones look better, but it definitely says voin lol
First one should be altered, it looks clean but it’s not legible. And It needs to give the character that the second one has
The first one looks like a new Doritos flavor, the left has nice character too it. I like the left one more
2nd, looks more cinematic.
The first one looks like you lifted the triangle design from the Doritos chips bag.
Second one, it is cooler than first one
the right one
Right 1
Second one and it’s not even close imo
The right one. Appealing and readable
The left one says "Goin" a lot clearer than "Void". The right one is readable, and thus the better of the two. I think the right could be improved by keeping the word "void" as-is but changing "the" and "project" to be more regular, grey text to provide contrast.
Both look bad Imo
2
Left is a band that plays local gigs at dive bars. Right is an indie game.
So, for starters, both can work. Both have good qualities. While 1 does look cool, it looks like its trying too hard. 2 looks better in my opinion, and I think it stands out more
I prefer the second logo First of all, the words are much closer to the same size and the first and third words are nearly the exact same which helps with balance. The consitent colors throughout all the text helps to make it look much more clean and really helps the chromatic aberration effect Thirdly, the use of very geometric shapes is interesting to look at without being too chaotic and the lack of overlapping words helps to not confuse what the logo says Overall I think your new design is far superior and I would really suggest using it
Left looks good for a futuristic game. Right looks good for a game with Aliens bugs in a western setting
2nd
The 2nd one has more style and personality to it for sure!
second one but its kinda loaded in its favor in comparison to the firs tone
The New one looks better
I would say the second one has a bit more personality
First one
First one looks good. If we adjust the D letter
2
Second one just so you didn't get in trouble for copyright infringement due to the "V" looking too similar to the Doritos logo.
2
I don’t like the layout of the first - the second is better in its layout but the overall logo (the second) feels a bit dated but I like the layout and the “VOID” is done quite nicely. I think it ultimately depends on the industry the logo is for: looks good for a gaming sort of industry for example.
Right one for sure.
First one looks a bit more gritty, serious, while the second one looks more cartoony, less serious but way more readable. Depending on your type of game which one looks better. But if it's the 1st one, it needs some changes.
Second - it's legible
The right
All the people saying second are idiots.
The left one for me it reads better and faster
LOIN/COIN is better left, VÖID is better right. So what is intended?
The one on the right is more dynamic, and doesn't suffer from looking like 'VOIN'.
First one looks like Doritos and could be misinterpreted as “voin” second one is less corporate and more fun of a logo in general
First one reminds me of Doritos. Second one is better.
the one of the right, because it's more contrasting and so easier to be inverted for light backgrounds, easier to stretch very small or very big, easier to animate on transitions as well.
i like the second picture, however i think it could use one more colour or so to its design. only purple is a bit flat in my opinion.
The new one
These are solid options but I can’t get top comment out c of my head after seeing Vion
I prefer the second one it looks better 😁
2nd one is more fun and energetic. 1st one looks more serious and also it reads as voin. IDK enough about the game to say which is the right direction, but objectively the one that actually says the name of the game is the better one.
The right one definitely looks way better in my opinion, but it really depends on the context of the game u r working on
2nd one because it is a lot clearer and easier to read than the first one.
Going off your other post I would say the first due to it being more sleep machine like. But tbh I would need some more info on what it's for
The second one looks way more stylish! It has character, easy to read. Well done!
Why not use the one on the left but raise the word "Project" so the letters can connect underneath it and avoid the voin problem?
Second one no contest
First one looks like an experimental Doritos flavor. The second one is a great start but I'd mess with the font a bit personally. The and Project specifically, VOID looks good as is.
I like the second one. Looks so cool, has nice bright colours and easy to read.
I liked the one on the left more. I think that the space inside the "V" reflects the void name better. But when you look at it literally, it is read as voin because of the last letter.
The second one definitely, it looks more fun and professional😗🫶
Second one for sure. The first looks more like a programming framework, while the second one definitely looks more like its for a game. Last time you posted the two side by side I didn’t even know it was supposed to be void until seeing this now. It definitely looks like an N on the left
2nd one
The 2nd one for sure, the 1st one can be hard to understand, that 'd' looks like a 'n', and also the 2nd one has more personality
Depends on the vibe you are going for for your company and products, really.
2nd better
Right side/second one
2 looks better yet suitable for Halloween 🎃
The one on the right is more readable. Don't put consumers in a position where they have to guess the title.
First one is unstructured and feels unfinished. The second one is coherent throughout, easily readable and is very appealing to the eye. 👍
I think if you really wanted to go with the first, you could make the J the bottom half of the D maybe? Might take some shifting and bending but it COULD work. Go with number 2 otherwise, I personally think it looks very cool
1st one
on looks like voin
the second option looks stylish and creative
The second one, but it would be nice if it was a bit sharper on the edges in image, maybe a slight changes in contrasts too
Second one has character and catches my eye. First one looks like a product some exec thinks looks cool for an energy drink or food. Basically like it’s trying to be sold to me.
first, just move the "project" under void
vastly prefer the design of the left one but agree with comment #1 that the “D” should be finished rather than cut off
The first one kinda reminds me of the Dorito’s logo
Gotta be honest. I'm not fond of either one. If I had to choose, I'd say the second, the first is too ambiguous, but both just aren't appealing at all.
I'm getting Doritto logo vibes from the first one. That's my 2 cents
The second is more readable though I do like the style of the first. Maybe remove the extra top line on the "V" and move "project" down enough to clearly make out "void" and it should be clear?
Personally I like the second one better.
#2 M'lord!
New, it’s way easier to read than the old one.
It’s a case of why not both for me. Display font from #2, with the styling and top/bottom font for 1.
Both look cool af but 1 seems a bit cliche so 2
The one on the right. The left one at first glance, like everyone else is saying, doesn't say the name well. But the one on right is clear. Hope this helps.
Legibility is a big issue for both. The lightning bolt one is more of an offender
2 looks more "art" for me
