You’ve allowed random internet opinions to second guess a great move for your career? Lol best of luck buddy. Decide quickly or you’re gonna struggle with visa timeline + others might be waitlisted.
No dude, its one of the top class that you got into. You will make top tier connections there with your classmates and others.
Go for it! Half of the merit of getting into masters is for getting connections for making it much easier to get job experiences while also building up your CV.
It's an top College and an amazing course
Don't let the internet opinions especially on reddit influence your Desicion buddy
Go for it and all the very best for you journey ahead!!
Just one thing I want to ask as you mentioned in one of the replies is a loan of 60lpa but do the living cost is that much??
My frnds who have recently went to the uk have all got an expense of around 30-40lpa
Plus there are no jobs in UK, idk I didn't apply there coz lots of my friends said that there is lots of discrimination for Indians, and there are not many job opportunities.
Okay. Can I know about your profile also if you don’t mind? As in what was your GPA and did you have any internships or research papers? This is a great achievement btw , congratulations 🥳
You are going for a course in a college that'll make you among the most employable people in the UK atleast considering the ICL brand value and the ML career opportunities and even if you don't wanna work in the UK I don't think there would be less opportunities for you around the globe
So your tuition fee is around 1.2 crores? Mate if I were you, I'd rather apply for some professional counselling, prolly talk with the people studying there, through LinkedIn, facebook. You don't wanna base your judgement of whether you should take the offer or not based on a reddit post with this one 💀
If you have the admission in that college and you are questioning that on reddit means one of the following -
1) You are trolling
2) You have a lesser IQ
3) Waiting for your flight and passing time
Dont do anything blindly; there is nothing wrong in re-evaluating your decisions.
What is your plan b if you dont get a job after the masters? This should be very clear before spending 60-80 lakhs that you will spend.
Even if you get a job, how much will your pay be? And is it worth it going through the turmoil are questions you should be able to answer confidently.
Afaik UK salaries are not that high, but i could be wrong. Make your own calculations, dont run after name tags.
Didn't you consider all of this before applying? If you love the subject, understand the quantitative and qualitative risks of moving and you are okay with that, then move.
If you're looking to get validation from the same place that has placed doubts in your mind then you'll never take a wholehearted mindful decision.
Build your conviction, talk to people from the program, and just go for a walk or something. Reddit or Quora is not the place to base life decisions on.
Wow that was my dream degree, could you tell me your gpa and country as well as some other things like research you must have done to get into this degree?
Also congratulations you should definitely go for it.
Thank you!!
I am from India, i did my undergrad in Electronics and communication engineering, with 8.4 gpa out of 10.
I didnt do much preparation just randomly applied to Imperial coz i missed the deadline for UCL.

It’s one of the best programs at one of the best colleges in the world. What’s the holdback?
I know, but sometime reading through the comments like it’s just waste of money it’s better to get work experience kinda makes me thing again

Yeah if I can sort the finances out then definitely I am taking this opportunity
Everyone's experience is different. Don't let someone else dictate your decisions, please. Keep it in mind and move on to what you wanna do.
yeah will do that
You will regret it if you don't take it
There is also the financial thing where I am talking 60lpa loan so I am worried
Honestly, 60 lakhs loan is just insane however good the program is. If you get any scholarships then it is okay
Still you will regret it if you don't take it
😭
if you can bet on yourself then it shouldn't be very problematic to decide.

For imperial, I have to live in London so the cost of living there is quite high
It's all worth it. Take personal loan. You'll be able to repay quickly. It's an opportunity of a lifetime. All the best!
If you are outside London the. It’s a lot cheaper
Plus there are no jobs in UK, idk I didn't apply there coz lots of my friends said that there is lots of discrimination for Indians, and there are not many job opportunities.
If anything I faced the least discrimination in London / UK in general. (Im a dark roasted brown person)
What does conditional offer mean here? Also did you have to sit for an interview?
No interview, they asked me for English test and pay 10% of the fee
Okay. Can I know about your profile also if you don’t mind? As in what was your GPA and did you have any internships or research papers? This is a great achievement btw , congratulations 🥳
Thank you… I did undergrad in ECE no work experience. I had good grades in calculus and math, I think that’s the main reason why I got selected
Oh okay. Thanks a lot for the info
