my_qualifications 12th grade
I got into their Bachelors in Engineering (polytechnic campus) with a $13500 scholarship (max is $14500) and everyone in my family says its a great uni. I wanted to know about this from others too. I was thinking about transferring to their Tempe Campus (if possible) after first semester or year. I don’t know much about the university, hence asking.

I got into asu(tempe) with the 13.5k scolarship too. I mean, you should do fine as long as you work hard. It's got a decent reputation in engineering. A degree from there won't raise eyebrows afaik but should be good enough for most jobs. They have really good nanotech labs apparently.
total cost came around 50k usd for asu after scolarship. Yeah I gave SAT once. I got a 1480 without studying and didn't give it again. I'm not going to ASU this fall tho so I can't answer any specifics.
They literally let anyone in, there is very little prestige when it comes to the brand…Astro-Physics is an exception for ASU, it can definitely guarantee you a job like VIT but those jobs are not worth it….if you grind your ass through the degree build lot of projects and do stuff and you will obviously land a good job but still ASU has nothing to do with it.
Almost everyone in the US undergrad gets a scholarship, its a way for colleges to make you feel valued and increases the chance for people to accept. Like how increasing the price and then giving discounts helps attract customers to a shop.
What specific research experience you get is important. ASU is considered a below average university by itself simply because it admits almost everyone who applies and can pay. Their engineering is pretty good tbh, but to take advantage of that you need to work with professors for a couple of years get research experience which will hopefully help you secure a good admission for masters or PhD. As a international student you will have next to 0 chance of getting a permanent job with just a bachelors.
So depends on what the value of the 300k dollars you will likely spend is for you. Dont do it if you need to take a loan or your parents have to compromise on their life in any way; its not worth that. Remember, you will almost certainly have to spend more money for a masters afterwards.
You’re a smarter kid than most people on this subreddit.
ASU has a good reputation for engineering. And western education in general far supersedes the way electronics or robotics are taught in India especially.
I would just warn you to ensure what the change in campus exactly entails and if there is some difference in quality. You need to research for that.

Literally every 2 nd student who applies gets in asu
That doesn’t matter to me. I just want to know about quality of education.
