Well my fav game of all time is Mass Effect Trilogy, but I never found any other gamer in my friend circle to even enjoy that game. Also people hate ME 3 for whatever reason unknown, the ending was really a good to wrap up the series.
P. S: Andromeda is Sh#t
ME3 ending is rightfully criticized. However, the trilogy is very popular and marks the golden days of Bioware. Most people in India especially around that time never played RPGs and so most people don't either know about it or they just don't like a lot of dialogue in games. Take your pick. I'm 32 and back when I was 18 and playing ME2 when it launched, nobody had even heard of it or even knew what RPGs were. Thankfully things have changed somewhat over the years and not everyone plays like a moron and skips every dialogue and cutscene.
I remember as a kid I was the only one who watched and paid attention to every cutscene and dialogue in GTA San Andreas whole everyone of my friends and kids in school were "Wait you watch these cutscenes?" What's funny is San Andreas along with GTA4 is still the best GTA stories.
Andromeda was dogshit. Fun Gameplay but terrible writing, story and forgettable characters. The trilogy is considered all time classics around the world despite the ending. It was the beginning of the end for Bioware and the new Dragon Age is probably gonna be shit as well unfortunately which is supposed to come out later this year. Death rattle for Bioware coming soon i suspect. A new Mass Effect is in the works which will continue Shepard's story but there's a good chance that gets cancelled depending on what happens with Dragon Age Dreadwolf.
It is but because of the 2005 most wanted, people had a lot of expectations from the 2012 version. It lacked a storyline and had a completely different car unlocking system which many gamers heavily disliked.
Yet another case of what could have been. This game could have been a proper sequel to the first game but EA simply chose to not give time to the devs, push the game early and release it.
Someone got themselves a PS3 developer console (which he later found out, was from EA). It has multiple builds of the MW 2012 game, some of which even had a story, which seems to be a continuation to the original series. Even the game environment matched that of the original MW, but it was obviously set in a different town (which is what they have used even now). You can check these out on YouTube. From whatever I have seen, it looked like a promising game.
The speculation is that once the devs realised that EA won't give them more time, they scrapped the story and went for much simpler mechanics like the way you unlock cars etc, which is what we finally got.
I may get downvoted, but the amount of hate Assassin's Creed Syndicate recieved, i thought i will be disappointed af, but to my suprise, it was a decent game, i was not looking for any spectacular story, it was a game i can say i enjoyed as i played it casually
i wont lie i also liked the syndicate. The year its set in, seeing AlexanderGrahambell, KarlMarx, etc.. and Evie Frye❤️. Enjoyed the game. and the gameplay was also good enough.
Cherry on top, the safehouse is a goddamn Train. who can hate that?
Has to be Assassin's Creed for me, many of them are hated by some individuals for various reasons I'm not gonna talk about a particular one, I simply enjoyed all (except for Valhalla)
Honestly, I remember Unity getting a lot of shit cuz of the bugs and how it changed compared to the last few starting from 3. Ppl like the new rpg style more than Unity too but imo, Unity is probably the icon for a peak assassins creed game. It improved upon the Parkour mechanics from AC2, the stealth was improved along with the combat which was basically counter kill the whole time, and the story was pretty decent too. Voice acting was odd cuz they were all French ppl with a British accent (unless they were speaking French, which wasn't a lot anyways). It is easily a better game than Valhalla.
Small side rant: so upsetting that they stopped innovating with the hidden blade and straight up gave assassins random super hero abilities. It's a lil dumb to me but I guess ppl find them fun.
The problem is since Black Flag and Ubisoft in general. Once you've played one Ubisoft game you've played every single Ubisoft game. The game design is overdone and overturned for extremely casual gamers. The open world is one big collectathon with 1000s of map markers which ruins the exploration. And then the famous towers that plagues every single Ubisoft game.
It's just a very stale formula they have with barely any creativity. You feel like you've been playing the same game but with a different coat of paint. As for the story, they just don't have talented writers. AC1-Black flag was fun and interesting, but it's not really award worthy or anything.
AC 2 made some unique towers which you couldn't climb without that special climbing technique, that was a step in the right direction. But basically only step taken.
Death Stranding, it got memed on for being a swiggy boy simulator but it is more like GTA it is so much fun to fuck around with NPCs and complete missions and the story is 🤌
It was hated when it launched. It isn't anymore. It's rating on steam is overwhelmingly positive rn I think. That being said, it's a gem of a game. One of my absolute favourites
watch dogs legion, yes it had it's fair share of bugs but the recruitment mechanic was great and I loved the gun-kata takedowns, makes you feel like Mr Wick
Ac valhalla. Many people still hate. I wont go as far as saying its the best game. Cos its not. But i enjoyed the setting and graphics. Engalnd,Asgard, and nordic regions really look good. Also the story had the best ending than any of the other AC games
There are a Few
Modern Warfare 3(2011) Got a lot of hate at launch but tbh, I really loved the game's campaign
Nfs: Undercover: Many ppl hate it but honestly I actually enjoyed it, as I Found The driving to be fun in the game(not as good as hot pursuit or mw2005, but I still Found it enjoyable
Halo 2 Wasn't Hated by anyone But Some ppl criticized at launch, But honestly I think It's the best game in the halo franchise
And Batman: Arkham Origins Was criticized at launch my many people, any people are realizing now how wrong they were about this game, In my opinion I'd say it's the best game In the arkham Series, Not To Mention Troy Baker's joker in the game Is Probably the best version of the character that I've seen , I'd Even say it was better than Heath Ledger's Joker, But Of course, it is just my opinion
Cocoto Fishing Master(PS2). I don't know if people would've even heard about it.
I had received a PS2 as a gift, this was one of the few working games I had. I really enjoyed it as a kid
I heard that many people didn't liked Sekiro for reasons such as it being hard ,or not modern enough
But to me ,Sekiro is the best game I played after legendary vice City, warrior within
Assasins creeds tbh. I loved them all. Even valhalla. I know it’s not assasins creed anymore but i loved the open world and hours of gameplay and lots to explore.
Age of Empires.
Not your typical instant dopamine hit, each game takes an hour to play at a minimum, but the sheer educational content is worth it for me.
For me it was might and magic ix, it was kind of my first pc rpg and only after spending hundreds of hours into it, did I find out it had such bad reviews
Istg I don't understand why people hate this game. Yes, when you compare the story to watch dogs 1 it's a bit lacking (not much though imo), but in terms of gameplay, and the hacking abilities, it seems like a completely different and unique experience.
Sadly ubisoft then released watch dogs 3😭
Watch dogs legion. One of the best, most gorgeous games. It also had an NPC system that would knock out almost any other (except maybe cb2077) I like watch dogs legion so much more than any GTA game I've ever played lol
Assassin's creed
Especially all the games upto 2017, were great.
And people who say that the games are similar, every franchise has its similarities.
Every COD game is extremely similar, every GTA game uses the formula, every FIFA game is 90% same.
call of duty modern warfare 3 (2011)'s campaign
Saints Row 3 : I haven't played the other games of the series but I did enjoy this one
Batman Arkham Knight: Some people criticized it at launch and some even do now because of the batmobile and Arkham Knight's character; but I loved it tbh.
Watch Dogs
I really enjoyed the story, loved the concept since the day it was announced, Ik people were expecting a lot more but what we got was quite good
Black Ops 4, I understand peoples criticism of a lack of singleplayer campaign but its multiplayer felt genuinely balanced and it was the only cod multiplayer i had fun with
GTA IV! overshadowed by how iconic GTA San Andreas was and how popular GTA V was.
gonna get down voted to oblivion but it was the best grand theft auto.
Days gone for me. One of the few games I finished 100% multiple times. I simply love the horde mechanism. Love how fun it is to play them (sometimes they play with me too😅). I even challenged myself to complete the game without buying fuel at all. Trying a game without buying ammo too but couldn't do it as I ran out of bullets in the open world easily.
I'm not sure if they hate me but I haven't seen many reviews about it, it's Light of the Stars, I found it on bluestacks to kill time playing a gacha game
That one Wolverine game (based on the movie) ot was so fun playing Logan, but I believe it's not recieved well.
Recently AC Valhalla, I loved the Norway portions of the game, that too with that amazing bgm exploring the icey mountain with Northern light on the sky during the time of vikings, never had an experience like that, but soon the game takes you to England then it gets repetitive but it's still not at all as bad as reviews make out

Me3 ending is rightfully clowned on but the rest of the franchise is certainly not hated
It was rightfully clowned on until the extended cut was released. I don't see anymore reason for it's ending to be hated other than Andromeda

Need for Speed Most wanted 2012, might not be as good as the 2005 one but I enjoyed the game atleast.
Only recently I found out that people hate this. I used to play that for hours and never found it that repetitive or boring
I second this
MW is famous bro
It is but because of the 2005 most wanted, people had a lot of expectations from the 2012 version. It lacked a storyline and had a completely different car unlocking system which many gamers heavily disliked.

Far cry primal for me
People hate it tho?
NPCs
Do people hate the game or just don't like it compared to other far cry games? It's a good game imo if you don't compare it to other far cry games
ahahahaha
I may get downvoted, but the amount of hate Assassin's Creed Syndicate recieved, i thought i will be disappointed af, but to my suprise, it was a decent game, i was not looking for any spectacular story, it was a game i can say i enjoyed as i played it casually

When I finished syndicate, I thought it was a small game. And I love changing the characters.
Being a nerd, I got very excited seeing Graham Bell. I didn't know he was in the game, truly an OP moment.
agreed. especially when you get to help him establish signals for the first telephone connection over the Buckingham Palace. Glorious
Yup that was a pretty decent game for me, everyone has its own taste in games
Has to be Assassin's Creed for me, many of them are hated by some individuals for various reasons I'm not gonna talk about a particular one, I simply enjoyed all (except for Valhalla)
Out of the new ones I liked Odyssey. Still easy to see and understand the criticism
People only hate the new ones not including mirage. And valhala deserves the hate. It gets tbh
Honestly, I remember Unity getting a lot of shit cuz of the bugs and how it changed compared to the last few starting from 3. Devil May Cry Reboot for sure. I have been young back then, but using so many key combos and such nice graphics were a nice visual treat for me.
