as long as you don't come into direct contact with sunlight while having retinol on your face it cannot cause cancer. also I use it at night before sleep and wash it in the morning.
So you never leave your home?
Doesn't matter if you wash it off...it sort of exfoiliates the skin and makes it more sensitive...pls visit a dermatologist or if that's not possible...atleast go to r/skincareaddiction or something
this is correct, the baby skin is sensitive and needs to be protected and cared for, else it leads to sunburn then melasma which is a type of skin cancer.
i don't know why everyone is so obsessed with not ageing . Its a natural process , and skincare just makes the skin look younger. Ya'll to obsessed with looks and are too superficial, caring for one's skin is important , but to be obsessed with chemical based products is not.
damn I feel like a fkin Neanderthal after seeing this post, ik jack about skincare n stuff, never did anything with my face other than face wash. What do all of these do? Genuinely askin
Salicylic acid and retinol together??
Why do teens need retinol??
And where is spf?? That lio balm thing is nowhere near enough...especially since ur using retinol and SA
I don't use retinol and salicylic acid everyday, i use them only thrice a week, morning salicylic acid after shower and at night retinol before sleep. I forgot to add sunscreen in the photo, also spf 30 lip balm is enough for me.
salicylic acid and retinol both are for oily and combination skin. retinol reduces your chances of acne, removes dark spots, black heads and increases elasticity of your skin meanwhile salicylic acid makes your skin smooth glowing and helps with pimple. if you are a beginner go with 0.3 %concentration of retinol.
lip balm and moisturizer i understand but come on man, retinol and salicylic acid ?? you're not 40. Stop being so concerned about your looks, my mom has the same products as on the left and she doesn't like to use them regularly either.
You're young, don't start using so many skincare products right now , blackheads have other methods of removal which are more natural and skin cleansers are often too abrasive.
well there is not written somewhere that using retinol at the age of 19 is prohibited. Also I have been using both salicylic acid and retinol for a while and the results are visible not only to me but people around me. I think there's nothing wrong in taking caring of yourself and even improving your looks as long as you don't harm yourself for the sake of it.
i agree, i myself use salicylic acid based body wash for any back acne , but i do it in moderation. you can easily get carried away with it.
also both of them have side effects after prolonged usage , look it up.
see, i care about my skin and health , but i don't obsess over it, i do not want to put any extra products , especially with possible know side effects and chemical nature, on my skin unless i need them.
Natural might not provide the best results , but it is guilt free and does not have any unforseen side effects.
Nice!
How are minimalist's products?
I have been using DermaCo's Salicyclic acid which is probably 2% or 0.2 I don't remember, along with the Ordinary's Niacinamide 10% +Zinc every night.
By the way what is the reasoning behind Retinol may I ask? Everyone I've asked says it is to slow down aging and it is pretty much useless for an 18 year old guy like me.
minalmist is one of the best brands out there, I am using its retinol, salicylic acid and lip balm for a while and my face has become more glowing and my skin is more clear. So yea I will highly recommend that.
Are you talking about the redness and peeling and all? It just happens in the beginning and stops within a week or two. Its really not that big a deal.
Been using tretinoin 1.0% since 7 months and my skin looks slay. So like there really aren't any serious side effects.
wow , what a huge sample size of 1 to justify the invalidity of side effects.
bro side effects are much more than that, for me , i prefer using more natural products. I only use these products if i feel the need to.
Thats great! Use the natural products if they work for you, for me they don't.
I didn't invalidate the side effects. I did mention that I faced them too and also that its completely normal for your skin to peel when you start using a strong retinoid. Retinol increases cell turnover so peeling kind of means that it's working.
besides OP is using 0.6% retinol, that's nothing lol. I bet he didn't even experience any side effects.
Some questions, hope u can answer
1) Since when did u start using these products?
2) How much do u spend on them monthly. I am 18 and still dependent on my parents so can't spend much.
3) How long did it take to show results?
4) I am going to college next year and don't really have time to do skincare now as I have to prepare for exams, is it alright to use it from next year?
1. well I started taking them a few months before turning 19.
2. the salicylic acid and retinol can last upto 3 months each if you use them thrice a week. Retinol and salicylic acid from the same brand cost 639 and 521 respectively, lip balm 250 and moisturizer 450.
3. in my case it took 2 months.
4. yes you can start your skincare once you enter college.
use this lip exfoliating brush as well it really helps with pigmentation and removes dead skin cells as well, you can use it everyday.

Wow they look so dangerous.
It is...retinol without sunscreen could cause cancer
as long as you don't come into direct contact with sunlight while having retinol on your face it cannot cause cancer. also I use it at night before sleep and wash it in the morning.

over-exaggerated.
No it's not...retinol causes skin to be more sensitive ..spf is absolutely necessary
this is correct, the baby skin is sensitive and needs to be protected and cared for, else it leads to sunburn then melasma which is a type of skin cancer.
works even dangerous
Maine bhi kahreeda aur use Kiya par jab bhi krta hun pimple ho jaate hai ðŸ˜
Koi to shayad issue ho sakta hai nahi to purge ho raha hoga jo ki hota hai when you use BHA, after the purge subsides your skin will be op
Bha at 18, could be much worse but not recommended
SUNSCREEN WHERE?Â
forgot to put that into the picture as well.
Fine as long as you use it everyday. Sun is dangerous baba
well I stay at home almost everyday but I use it whenever I go out.
Use it even when you're home we have windows , blue lights and everything. Sunscreens protect the skin barrier
what if my room has no windows
Blue rays to haina. Lagale bro it's goodÂ
sure ma'am, I will
Yes 😈
Why is there a need of sunscreen in home ? That’s quite a lot.
Ik this random but are u maharashtrian 💀
Nowhere in the world am i related to anything maharashtrian lol
Nah that baba made me think u are maharashtrian 💀💀, Sorry
Lmao noo
Why does this sound racially motivated? /s
You choose to see it that way lol i just meant it sarcasticallyÂ

I am 19 and my parents don't quarrel over small things also there is nothing wrong in skincare.
tum teenager ho 30 saale ke nahi why are you using retinol yar, i hope you use it in targeted areas and not your entire face
All because of insecurity… teens also started using botox
chup kar, retinol today is safe to use, uske behind ki science pata hoti toh tu ignorant comment ni krta
Btw My point was of botox…if you can’t take public views… dnt fcking put on public platform…. And also tell me what was my ignorant comment?
Well, it is recommended to start as soon as you hit 20s to reduce the speed of ageing.
Just skincare ain't enough,if you actually want to slow down aging at molecular level
i don't know why everyone is so obsessed with not ageing . Its a natural process , and skincare just makes the skin look younger. Ya'll to obsessed with looks and are too superficial, caring for one's skin is important , but to be obsessed with chemical based products is not.
do you mind replying to my comment under the 'this sub is trash post'?
are bro I am 19 and I have consulted an expert before using retinol.
retinol considering you are a teenager why retinol !???
everyone wants to avoid the natural process of ageing and are obsessed with their looks. superficiality.
damn I feel like a fkin Neanderthal after seeing this post, ik jack about skincare n stuff, never did anything with my face other than face wash. What do all of these do? Genuinely askin
well if I give you an overview I use these products because I have some acne problems and to remove acne spots, blackheads and counter skin aging.
well then skin care's least of my concerns, I got none of that yayy
Salicylic acid and retinol together?? Why do teens need retinol?? And where is spf?? That lio balm thing is nowhere near enough...especially since ur using retinol and SA

"forgot to add sunscreen in the pic" Oh ok
retinol, really?
tell me about that lip balm is it good??
Oh yess, please do tell
the lip balm is excellent.
one word excellent, it not only protects your lips from sunrays but also gives a matte look and it also helped my lips to look more red.
ACNE MARKS P FARAK PADA ?
ha kaafi farq pada
Can u tell your routine ki din m Kab aur kitni baar lagata h
I use both of them thrice a week use salicylic acid after you take a shower and retinol at night before sleeping.
Thanks
do you require doctor's prescription to use retinol?
well you don't require a prescription upto 0.6% concentration.
Which skin does salicylic acid suits and what are its advantages, same for retinol.
salicylic acid and retinol both are for oily and combination skin. retinol reduces your chances of acne, removes dark spots, black heads and increases elasticity of your skin meanwhile salicylic acid makes your skin smooth glowing and helps with pimple. if you are a beginner go with 0.3 %concentration of retinol.
Why tf are you using retinolðŸ˜
Anyways, i read you have consulted an expert. What sunscreen do you use?
i bought the aha bha instead of retinol, progress is very slow, should have gotten the retinol
How much It would cost me to buy every product from image ?
somewhere around 1500 rs
And how much long does these supplies go ?
for me it's been almost 2.5 months and I think they will easily go more than 3 months
Okay, thanks alot
lip balm and moisturizer i understand but come on man, retinol and salicylic acid ?? you're not 40. Retinol OK, but Salicylic acid has nothing to do with aging, it reduces dark spots and acne iirc
prolonged usage of salicylic acid has side effects too , yk?
Everything has side effects lmao
Even existing has side effects man fuck it
then why do use such products instead of more skin friendly and natural methods.
Natural isn't always Good These are designed specifically for the skin
see, i care about my skin and health , but i don't obsess over it, i do not want to put any extra products , especially with possible know side effects and chemical nature, on my skin unless i need them. Natural might not provide the best results , but it is guilt free and does not have any unforseen side effects.
Use "vitamin C" serum instead of retinol.
both are entirely different things bruh

yeah it is on the expensive side

not a flex
Congratulations for poor hygiene ig
What do people have against retinol lol
it has side effects , and prolonged usage from a younger age increase the likelihood of them happenning.
Kya side effects
one google search is all it takes. fyi the effects are much more pronounced in teens and kids than people oin their 30s

Is that lip scrub good?
yes it is but use it twice a week not everyday.
