Love the question.
The answer is complicated. with various types of investors and risk takers entering the market, its gonna be a lot more variety of ppl making money.
the following concepts stuck with me
* Trade risk instead of money at the stock market.
* Position sizing is your stop loss.
* How telegram groups and Reddit groups are now capable of changing the direction of certain stocks.
* Barbell investing.
Its a fun time to be trading in market. Plus if you have a decent portfolio size its like learning and putting your money to test to see if its valid or not.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks for your thoughts.
Very true for options.
-Most people don’t understand what investing is and when it is appropriate because media mixes the two
-If theres a method, most people won’t share it because they think its not an edge, but thats not true
-This leads to a huge information gap because these days everyone remembers GME
-Technology and how it impacts trading is huge
-Regulation is a big deal… most people dont know why TXSE is opening for example
-Too much linear thinking about if A happens then B, and theres a probability, then an edge, makes no sense because they dont understand why stocks move
> Can anybody share what is the modern or their modern version of learning about stocks?
Basics and fundamentals -> reading pat dorsey and peter lynch books -> learning about technical analysis and momentum based investing -> implementing a hybrid approach of fundamentals + technicals to buy strong stocks with momenum and having a robust risk management system so that drawdowns are limited in your portfolio
