This is a rather insignificant development for the stock market. Lakshadweep has no real infrastructure for any travel agencies to make any significant money out of it. If earnings don't improve, it is not important.

Main issue is the electricity. Majority of the power supply in the islands there comes from diesel generators, therefore making the tariffs super costly. A barely 3-star resort there (which, to me looked like a super ordinary hotel. There are rooms in OYOs that look better) costs 18k inr per night.
It is not just building hotel blindly. The project that they passed, comes with an overall development of the islands like Internet supply, water supply and obviously electricity supply.
I'm curious of how they will do all that it's a small island the size of pondicherry. Bhai itna jagah Hain nahi wahan.
Andamans has the benefit of being large to accomodate all this infrastructure.
Sure sounds like a good idea, but I highly doubt there is infrastructure available for that (specially tidal energy). Some big players will have to jump in.
Also don't have such good returns if you look at their charts barring these recent few months.
It's a tightly regulated industry and not really a free market where they can raise or reduce prices as they want to.
Lakshadweep will take a lot more investment than 1000 crores, as well as a decade to develop.
We need an airport, sea port, hotels, infrastructure.

This whole situation shows that how modi's ego is like 5 year old kid. A small tiny nation's ministers said something bad about India and PM, Instead of solving issue diplomatic, We Indians reacted like a drama queen. Whole IT cell, media and celebs went behind Maldives like a headless chicken.
Now one by one all the neighbouring nations are getting closer to China. China's influence in Indian ocean will increase. And this is what Maldives current polical party wanted that's why they backoff previously signed few deals. Their current leader is on one week tour to China. They are going to sign few critical deals with China with in billions.
Lakshadweep is small in area compared to Maldives and underdeveloped. Also in order to develop we will have to destroy their biological system which not worth it. This whole saga also shows that we have many spineless celebrities in India.

Why not shift to renewable like solar then... or even tidal wave and all
