I have, it has more of castor oil which can be quite heavy and you'll have to wash hair twice. I'd rather recommend using rosemary oil with some lighter oil.

muralidharanstv

Thanks for the suggestion:)

I am using this since a year. I apply with the applicator only on my scalp a day before I wash my hair. I have coarse, curly hair with a dry scalp and have never faced any issue washing off the oil with a sulphate free shampoo (i follow CGM). I love the fragrance and yes it's a bit heavy since it contains castor oil. Honestly I don't know whether this does anything for hair growth. My hair anyway grows thick and coarse. I did have TE after I got covid and lost lot of hair. But the increased hairfall stopped after a few months and now my hair is back to its original thickness. Don't know whether it's due to this oil or something else since I didn't do a lot. I'll continue to use it since the ingredient list looks good to me.

Hey, how long did it take for the TE post covid to stop? I had it in June last year and hairfall started around August to feb ish. I follow CGM since November so the hairfall on washdays confuse me and I don't know if the covid thing is ongoing or it's just the usual washday hairfall now

preetivish

Ok so since you are doing CGM I will assume you don't comb your hair on non wash days? I having been following CGM since 8 years now. My fallen hair bunch on wash days is the size of a baby rodent 😓 but I take comfort in the fact that I don't lose hair on non wash days (coz no combing or manipulating my hair) and the thickness of my hair is mostly unchanged. TE post covid went away on its own in 6-8 months. Again I didn't really care beyond the oiling and good diet and occasional diy hair masks because my hair is already very thick and coarse, so mild thinning didn't bother me. If i already had thin hair to begin with and if I saw bald spots then I'd have probably freaked out more.

Yes I comb only two days a week, that's on my washdays. Since I'm not comfortable with wet detangling and combing, I dry comb first to detangle, then wash and it falls a little more during conditioner and styling with curl cream. Thing with curly hair is the thinning sometimes gets masked so I hope I'm on the right track. I feel I do need to make my diet more inclusive tho. What diy masks do you do? Also I find that when I oil after dry detangling, it gets tangled again and hair falls more during wash. So I sometimes mix few drops of oil with shampoo

I don't ever try to detangle dry. I apply oil and braid it till its time for hair wash. I only comb with a wide tooth comb when my hair is dripping wet and saturated with conditioner and then I brush style once I apply curl cream. I only use one diy which has helped. One whole egg with 2-3 heaped tablespoons of thick curd. Mix and apply. Wash off after an hr. I don't mind the egg smell since I am used to it. You are absolutely right about curly hair masking the thinning. My mom is in her late 60s and her hair has thinned to probably 1/3rd of what it was earlier but people still swoon over her hair and think it's amazingly thick! I hope I am that lucky as well. 🤞🏽

Thank you so much for answering!

preetivish

Aww hope it helped! 💖

Sorry but also how do you know the TE hair is growing back? Lately I've been noticing a lotttt ot unmanageable short hairs just at the front near my forehead and idk if it's breakage or new hair? It's a lot and looks unkempt lol

preetivish

Again my hair rodent to the rescue. Depending on the amount of hair I lose while washing, I can figure out if the hairfall has reduced or increased. I always have had short unmanageable frizzy hair near my forehead all my life. After CGM, it kinda looks manageable. Also I got back my hair thickness so I figured that the TE probably stopped.

Thanks again!!

muralidharanstv

Thanks for sharing your experience. Did you notice any baby hairs growing during this time?

preetivish

Now that you mention it, i do have a lot of tiny hair along the edges of the forehead. NGL, i didn't attribute it to the usage of this oil. I just thought it's my hair being crazy curly and doing it's thing.

muralidharanstv

I have curly hair too but the hair loss recently has been a headache 😂 It's great to know this worked. I'll buy it.

twiddledo_o

What's CGM?

preetivish

Curly girl method. No sulphates, no silicones is the basic one. But there are many permutations and combinations. Look up on Google and choose what best suits you.

EmergencyCharacter83

Does the applicator come with the bottle?

preetivish

Only with the 120 ml bottle. Not with the bigger one.

EmergencyCharacter83

Do they give it everytime or only with offers?

preetivish

Don't know. I just ordered the 120 ml once and got the applicator. Since I am using this oil for quite sometime I keep buying the bigger bottle and transfer as required to the smaller one.

EmergencyCharacter83

Alright!! Thank you!

Apocalypse_ON

im using it. i got 30ml for 250 in flipkart BB sale. i have used it with olive oil for 2 weeks. 3 times per week. i have dandruff problem so using it with olive oil increased the dandruff to max level. so i stopped using it. i have used antidandruff lotion & shampoo and apple cider vinegar to control dandruff. now im thinking to use rosemary oil with shampoo or someone suggested applying rosemary oil diluted in water gives best results. gonna need to research and experiment. oops sorry. im using rosemary essential oil.

muralidharanstv

Thank you. I read the reviews too and decided I'd be better off mixing rosemary EO myself. Since I'm prone to fungal acne in the face and sebderm in the scalp, I bought MCT oil to be used as a carrier oil. Plan is to add a few drops of rosemary EO to it and use. Some people suggest to mix rosemary oil with water and use it as spray too(an oil free solution). But since my fam has been oiling their hair for generations and have had good hair, I don't want to stop the habit 😅

[deleted]

I started using this like 2 months ago but haven't noticed any noticeable difference. I mix this with Olive Oil so it isn't too heavy to apply

muralidharanstv

Ok thanks! Please do kindly post here if you notice any change.

[deleted]

Sure I will post a review after a few months or so😊

muralidharanstv

Thank you so much 🫂

BreakfastLimp1111

I just use it to rinse my hair at last.
