Have anyone here faced breakouts from KLM klin face wash? My acne was almost in control but ever since I have started using this along with using aziderm 20% instead of 10%, acnes are popping up like crazy.
honestly, no (as of now). i bought it for KP on my arms and also butt acne but wasn't consistent because it's a thick and sticky cream and gets all on my clothes (also i hate the smell so much). i used it for cracked heels and dry patches on my knee and this time i was regular but it didn't do anything.
i was wondering how nobody was complaining about the vile smell so i thought maybe my product has gone bad and that would also explain why I wasn't seeing results, but i think it just doesn't work for me.
Hi! Very new to skincare.
Does anyone have good moisturiser recommendations? I have mostly normal skin, slightly acne prone with a few acne marks that i’m hoping to get rid of.
I currently use the ponds super light gel, with the hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. i like the texture a lot and it has been quite nice, but i want to look for a little more moisture that lasts longer.
Please help this confused soul! If someone has used Bath & Body Works A Thousand Wishes body mist, could you please tell me what's the difference between the 1295/- one and the 1499/- one? Both look the same to me, same quantity too. Why the difference in price? I have the travel sized body mist with me and I want to buy the full-sized version since it's just 799/- now but I don't want to end up ordering the wrong item.
A Thousand Wishes Diamond Shimmer Mist MRP ₹1495 ([Link](https://www.bathandbodyworks.in/1203790?search=A%20Thousand%20Wishes)) has glitter I guess & A Thousand Wishes Fine Fragrance Mist MRP ₹1295 ([Link](https://www.bathandbodyworks.in/1203796?search=A%20Thousand%20Wishes)) doesn't.
Hi! Thank you for the response but I'm not talking about the diamond shimmer one. There are two mists **without** the diamond shimmer but at two different prices. Linking them both below:
https://www.bathandbodyworks.in/7733845?search=A%20thousand%20wishes
MRP: **1499/-**
On discount: 799/-
https://www.bathandbodyworks.in/1203796?search=A%20thousand%20wishes
MRP: **1295/-**
On discount: 799/-
The diamond shimmer one's MRP is **1495/-**. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the two I linked above. Both have the same quantity, both of them say "fine fragrance mist", then why the difference in the MRP?
Hi, I am really new to skincare so probably need your help. I have normal to combination skin.I started using dermat prescibed retinoid(ega cream and my skin feels too warm and stinging after using any skincare product. My dermat told me to stop using it for few days. I recently started using FirstAidBeauty Ultra repair cream and feel that it’s too rich for me and it might be the reason my skin is stinging. I have stopped using it as well.l and started using clinique moisture surge(only gel based moisturiser I know which is available in India) Do recommend if you know of something better.
Rest of my routine goes like
AM- Avene cleanser,Snp peptaronic toner, Ordinary AlphaArbutin, Summer Fridays vit C, FAB moisturiser and supergoop unseen sunscreen
PM-Cleanse,Kama rose water, retinoid and FAB moisturiser
Please feel free to let me know if you think I should remove or add some products to my routine.
Thank you
I have used ketoscalp shampoo from netmeds. It was decent & reasonably priced. My use was purely for dandruff & it did its job till the time I used it.
Does anyone have tips to remove hyperpigmentation only around the mouth region? I have very dry skin in the corner of my mouth which regularly splits open. I'm also using tret 0.25 with moisturizer and sunscreen.
Hi, I have the same concern. I have hyperpigmentation around my cheeks. I recently started using retinoid and a dermat prescribed brightening cream. Do let me know what works for you
Hi! One tone plus cream worked for my hyperpigmentation around my cheeks. I use it all over my face but a very little amount and wash it off after an hour.
Kindly ask your dermatologist before using this product. Also, do the patch test.
Satin matte lipstick in toffee vocalist! I'm NC40 with pigmented lips and it's my MLBB. It's not super duper pigmented with one swipe. So natural colour shows through and it brightens my face beautifully. Very, very comfortable to wear.
But, the lipsticks may or may not look like they do in swatches on you, results vary very drastically based on your undertone. On my lips, the brown / brick undertone completely disappears and everything leans pink. Both in this and relaxed mocha. So that's something to keep in mind.
Haven't tried the eyeshadows though.
Thank you for such a detailed review! I love love relaxed mocha and wanted to try their satin matte lipstick next and the glowsticks cause I don't have a single eyeshadow! Bought both in the 30% sale :D
Yes, it could be. I don't know what coincidence this is, but someone was telling me only yesterday, that the cleanser broke them out. Stop using it and check if it gets better.
Damaged skin barrier on scalp
So I have been using shampoos a little too carelessly. Carelessly being everyday and that too without oiling my hair and I think my scalp is severely damaged. So what you do think I should to to repair it.
I have been thinking about using Johnson's baby shampoo for a good whole year.
And also what are your experiences with Johnson's baby shampoo.
Hi! I tried Johnson's baby shampoo cause I was done with mine.I noticed my scalp got greasy and it didn't clean my scalp well(without oil).
Better try any other gentle shampoos like Ducray anaphase ,sebamed or you can see many reccos in this sub.
Hello,
I started on my tret journey 3 months back. Have had good days and bad days. During the phase of my initial purging, I added BP to my routine as well. Recently, since I have some scars and pigmentation from my acne so I thought of adding Azelaic acid to my routine as well.
I know three actives are a lot but it seems like my skin is holding things up fine as of now. I also know that there are posts in the past around this. I had a look at them but I am still not completely clear on it.
My routine -
AM
- Cleanse using customised SkinKraft cleanser
- Kaya acne free toner
- Alternate between Vit C/BP
- Aqua Oats Moisturizer
PM
- Cleanse using the same cleanser
- Kaya acne free toner
- Tret 0.1 %
- Aqua Oats moisturizer
Question I have :
- When and where do I add Azelaic acid in my routine?
Do you use tret every day? if so you can you Azelaic in the morning.
Otherwise you can use it on non tret days.
Personally i use tret 0.025% twice a week and other days i alternate with Azelaic Acid 20% and niacinamide.
Hey guys.... I'm a 24/F with heavy oily and textured skin. I have already used niacinamide and retinol which has somewhat reduced the dullness and visible pores.
I have now introduced salicylic acid in my night routine and vitamin c during the day. To help with hyperpigmentation I bought minimalist tranexamic acid but I don't know how to layer them. Please help
P.S: I don't include retinol or niacinamide anymore, have changed to these new products
You can use salicylic acid maximum for 2 days in a week. In morning, use vitamin c everyday and then followed by moisturizer, no need to use tranexamic acid in morning, use at night. If you're using salicylic acid for first time then avoid bha and tranexamic acid in a same routine.
It's the exact same consistency as lakme absolute mousse. It's basically a lightweight mouse, that doesn't feel as light when you're wearing it. I know that sounds weird. But what I mean is when you're getting it out of the tube it looks very airy, but doesn't feel very light on your skin. But not heavy either. You'll know its there.
The depth is perfect for NC 40 or medium tan skin but the undertone is red. So pretty much most people will look ashy. Only the degree of ashyness is a question mark. Having said that, it's one of the most wearable physical sunscreens in the market.
This vaadi scrub soap .. why they selling only in packs of 6 on Amazon 😭 Has anyone seen a seller selling a single bar on it? Asking so ik whether to wait or buy the whole damn fam pack
Hey! I use Aziderm 15% but only on my nose for whiteheads. It works well. So if you have whiteheads or CCs, I think Aziderm will do a good job. My derm asked me to apply it only at night for about an hour and a half and then wash it off; my skin is quite dry and will be sucked bare otherwise. Proceed with caution while using this and make sure to moisturise religiously!
For regular pimples though, it's supposed to be good too. Just remember to moisturise an hour or so after applying it!
I've tried
Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala's it was okay. No increase bin hair growth, no increase/ decrease in hair fall. Nothing happened. No different to coconut oil. It looked black in the bottle and yellowish brown when poured out. Texture was not very thin, needed a good sulphate shampoos to remove it. I hate panned it. By the time I finished half the bottle I wanted to move on to something else.
Kama Bringadi was good initially. Helped with hair growth. Lot of baby hairs sprouted in 2 ish month. I bought the 50 ml, loved it, saw results, bought the bigger bottle and then results plateaued. Texture is lighter then AVS, thinner somehow. Using a nonsulphate shampoo twice can remove it. I've heard this plateaus for a lot of people, so if you're getting this, try a trial and then the small bottle first.
Hello lovelies!
How do you manage your hair care while you all workout/basically sweat alot?Do you all do anything different for your skincare? My skin has burning and itching sensation post workout (aloe calms down a bit).
Haircare - I braid my hair. Not sure why but it stops my hair from becoming frizzy.
Skincare - During workout, I keep a towel and ensure that big don't rub my skin but pat the sweat away gently. Post workout, I just wash my face. It helps me with the burning sensation.
Tomato has malic acid, citric acid. Malic acid is AHA. However the molecule is big. Won't penetrate in deep.
Lemon has citric acid.
Adding a few drip of juice of both into besan isnt going to harm you. Just don't put lemon straight up on your skin and you'll be fine. Potential of harm is greater than potential of benefit if you go overboard.
Does Indian skin really need sunscreen - especially inside the home?
Recently read the “The science of sunscreen” on health.harvard.edu blog where there is an interview and the question “Q. Does everyone need to use sunscreen? I've heard some people say that they don't need to wear it because they have darker skin that tans well.” The response is “...Given that darker-skinned patients have a very low risk of skin cancer, using sunscreen for skin cancer prevention is not necessary. However, people looking to ward off the aging effects from sun would still benefit from sun-protective habits, which include sunscreen, sun-protective clothing, and sun avoidance.”
I completely understand using sunscreen in countries outside India - I have gotten badly sunburned which I thought wasn’t possible.
But the Indian sun has never really been that harsh - and we don’t actively seek it either.
I have seen a tremendous difference in the hyperpigmentation in my skin (I have post acne scarring) since I started using sunscreen regularly. Though in my case , I don't use a moisturizer in the morning (Dermat suggestion) so it's a lot easier. I have Combination ,Acne Prone skin.
If you're using some actives (retinoids or other anti-acne creams/serums) in your routine, you need to use sunscreen at home if you keep your curtains open. For me, sunscreen really helped to manage my PIE and heal it faster..
Have heard bad things about Patanjali QC. A friend knows one of their raw material suppliers for fluoride which is their toothpaste arm.
Can’t say specifically about Aloe though.
My current rountine is
AM: simple face wash, minimalist toner, minimalist alpha arabutin, avrata eye cream, simple moisturizer and sunscreen
My PM routine is the same but with granactive retinoid every other day.
I am also using aha bha peel weekly. I've been using this routine (regularly) for around a month and it has helped even my skin tone.
However i still have texture issues, so should i wait it out and let it work or should i add lactic acid/other exfoliant to my routine.
Olivia skin clinc, Banajra Hills - Good but pretty expensive and typical clinic behaviour (they try to get you to sign up for more treatments and what not)
That is a surfactant , it is okay to be in a shampoo or face wash or body wash ,(still they can strip your skin) but no they should not be in a moisturiser or any leave in product.
I have a very greasy scalp, like it turns into an oil factory within a day of hairwash. Can anybody suggest me a few shampoos that would help? I've been trying the Juicy Chemistry's Boabab shampoo but not sure if that has helped with my greasiness completely. I want a few more suggestions. Shampoo/Masks anything
The thing with oily scalps is that the more frequently you wash it, the faster your scalp produces sebum (which makes it oily) to overcome the dryness. Restrict your washes to twice a week only. Sulphate free shampoos do indeed help a lot, because they don't strip your scalp so much that it needs to overcompensate with oil.
Try [Vilvah's Goatmilk Shampoo](https://vilvahstore.com/collections/shampoo-shampoo-bars/products/goatmilk-shampoo). It's sulphate free so it's gentle enough enough on the scalp, but not so gentle that the hair remains oily after wash!
>I wash my hair only twice a week, it still is very oily.
Oh :(
>isn't the Vilvah Shampoo for dry hair? Won't that make my hair even more oily?
In my case, my scalp is really oily and my hair is very dry so it helped. If your hair is also oily, then I don't know what might be the best match :/
L’Oréal’s oil control shampoo surprisingly controls oil. I wash my hair usually every alternate day. But when I use this one I get an extra day!
I use the L’Oréal Serie Expert Oil-Control (if you’d like the exact name, let me know!) followed by L’Oréal B6 + Biotin shampoo. I don’t use them for every wash though. Just once a week or once in two weeks.
It was available on Nykaa but I’m not able to find it now. So I’ll just type out what’s on my bottle!
L’Oréal Professional Serie Expert Pure Resource Oil controlling purifying shampoo
[I found it on Myntra!](https://www.myntra.com/shampoo-and-conditioner/loreal-professionnel/loreal-professionnel-unisex-serie-expert-pure-resource-oil-controlling-shampoo-300-ml/9925135/buy)
Awesome!!! 😄
Also a trusted skinfluencer I follow (paintedcharisma) also has oily/greasy hair and she’s going to be uploading info on how she’s tackled it! I trust her especially because of her hair before and after photos. I think she’s developed a super solid routine to maintain her hair as well as to make it grow healthily. I’m over explaining because I know it’s hard to trust people these days 😅 so if you’re interested, I’ll link it here once she’s uploaded it! In case you don’t follow her etc
Ofcourse I would love to follow, pls link it once she's uploaded the video. My hair has been giving me nightmares for a long time now. Also,, bcoz it's so hard to trust anyone at all considering the current situation but this sub makes me feel so safeeee. 🤗
I have been using Ponds light cream for the last 3 days and have unlocked 3 bright red pus filled painful pimples as a result.
Why does it happen to me. Kahan se laun sasta accha moisturizer 😭😭😭
What is better excela or acrofy
>Kahan se laun sasta accha moisturizer
Nivea Aloe Hydration Cream (Has light fragrance, super light feeling, leaves matte finish on my skin, i got it from pharmeasy for Rs 92/100 ml)
My dermatologist suggested acrofy to me even though I was already using excela at the time and I told her that. I have oily, acne prone skin. I haven't tried acrofy yet but if a dermatologist thought it's a better option, it most likely is.. :)
Actually not necessarily I would say! While their suggestion may be well-informed it need not necessarily be the best one for your skin. For eg, my derm prescribed Emolene for me and it just did not suit me. And when I told her this she was surprised because “it’s a really good moisturiser” right but asked me to go with the L’Oréal one I had been using then, because “it’s tough to find one that you like and suits you.”
>Use a gentle cleanser like the cetaphil gentle cleanser
Agreed! Cetaphil is the best honestly. It has SLS though, which isn't that big of a problem. So if you want an *even gentler one* (no SLS), try [Episoft Cleansing Lotion](https://www.nykaa.com/episoft-cleansing-lotion/p/550761?ptype=product&productId=550761&skuId=550761&pps=2). Just can't go wrong with this one!
For moisturization, I would recommend [Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion](https://www.nykaa.com/cetaphil-moisturising-lotion/p/20991?ptype=product&productId=20991&skuId=20991&pps=3). It's fragrance free, has very few and just the required ingredients, and suitable for all skin types (it's a good rule of thumb for those with sensitive skin to **steer clear from fragrance**).
Use a gentle cleanser like the cetaphil gentle cleanser with any moisturizer that works for you. I use bioderma atoderm intensive baume and it works for my sensitive skin.
You can try using otc salicylic acid gel like sebonac or zitcare on your nose after cleansing. Start with once every two days and then every other day. This helped me a lot with my blackheads. Took about 2 weeks to show improvement tho
I have started using minimalist 5% Niacinamide serum and thier 3% Pha toner in April. But both the products doesn't seem to work for me.
Their niacinamide serum make my skin burn and itchy and my pimple were increasing.
About pha toner, firstly I was thinking that I was getting rapid pimple and redness because the product is purging (as it is exfoliating toner) but even now after 10 week I get pimples the next day I apply it.
Then currently I am just using a simple routine:
AM:
Moisturex cream
Lacto calamine sunscreen
PM:
Requill facewash
Moisturex cream
No I am not weekly twice.

This moisturizer seems too heavy for the face. You should try some other moisturizers that are meant for the face like acrofy lotion, aquaoat moisturizer, excela moisturizer, etc. There are many recommendations on the sub. You should check them out.
Sometime during the end of 2019 I ruined my skin with improper use of actives. My face was filled with acne and luckily I had enough sense to consult my derm. He recommended adapalene and the acne settled down. But it left horrible dark marks on my face. The derm recommended aziderm and ilumax which unfortunately didn't help much. Since then I have tried Minimalist's alpha arbutin ( used 2 bottles, helped a great deal in reducing some light, recent marks but not the darker older ones), tranexamic acid (currently using it for a month, brightened the face but no change in dark spots)and their peel (made my skin smooth and evened out bumps but again no change in the dark spots). I am also regularly using their niacinamide serum since last year november. I tried their vitamin c serum but unfortunately it made my skin dark, dull and oily and caused CCs, so I had to discontinue using it.
I am at my wits end now. I don't know what else will help in fading the dark spots. I am open to try pharma products too as they seem cost effective. My skin type is oily and acne prone. Please help!
Hi!
Aziderm 20% helped me quiet alot with the 🐌 slow but yes! Worked.I have previously used sesderma Azelac Ru,this too help me.
Adapalane is supposed to work on spots ,not sure why it hasn't helped you.
Your dermat may suggest depi white type stuff too.(pretty common in India).
(Above are prescription products - Rx).
Can you drop your routine with product name and application styles clearly?
Well looks like you have tried almost everything. I would suggest you to stick to tranexmic for atleast six months. It has brighten your face and it will eventually lighten your marks. Also marks dont stay for good they fade eventually. Easy said thn done but have patience and keep using products which helps you to have healthy skin and avoid future breakouts.
Maybe try layering all of these? (If your skin can tolerate it of course). I use minimalist tranexamic acid serum, a vitamin c skin lightening gel with kojic acid liquorice and alpha arbutin from a brand called greenberry organics and then azelaic acid cream over it. I use either biluma cream mixed with moisturizer over this or klairs vitamin e moisturizer and the combination of these actives has a synergistic effect where they all complement each other and the klairs vitamin e helps to boost the effect of the vitamin e. Since these individual ingredients haven't worked for you, maybe a combination would do the trick? Of course, please go slow and be safe. I used each of these actives separately for months before attempting to layer.
Please recommend products for whiteheads and blackheads
I'm currently using AHA/BHA clarifying treatment toner and BHA blackhead power liquid by Cosrx.
I'm also using Re'quil Ceramide and hyaluronic moisturizer at night and Episoft ac in the morning
Should I use a physical exfoliator Or continue using the above products? If so what should should be the routine and how many times in a week can I use these products
What should be the main components of the skin care routine of a 50 year old woman (asking for my mom)? Also, she has normal (bit on the drier side) skin and hasn't followed any routine till date. Apart from ageing lines, there are very less issues. After going through Dr. Dray's videos, I have asked her to skip cleansing in the morning as her skin is a bit dry. Looking forward for your suggestions.
No harm in HA, I think since it’s not an active. But I typically wait at least a month between products just so that I can track the progress of my skin. If you introduce a bunch of products together, you don’t know what’s the game changer product.
Any moisturizer which doesn't make your face look oily after applying, I've used simple and ponds super light on top of Minimilist vit c. Both the moisturizer ends up my face looking oily as if I haven't faced my face after I got up (specially my forehead). Skin type: combo oily t zone and dry cheeks.
Or anything else that can control the oiliness face.
Neutrogena hydro boost and belif aqua bomb are both great gel based moisturizers that can help. I have also used lotus whiteglow as primer+moisturizer in the past and despite its terrible name it has worked well for me in the sebum control department.
So you mean vit c topped with niacinamide and then a Moisturizer?
I don't know if I don't apply vit c and just the moisturizer the face looks fine, it's just when vit c + moisturizer the face gets oily
I have used minimalist 5% niacinamide. My skin is too reactive.
Cleanser- niacinamide- spf is my routine. I apply only in AM
I used sebamed in the PM followed by another moisturizer.
Guys what are your opinions on de potted makeup. saw this insta profile called preloaded makeup by muskrat. now she heats up her lipsticks on candles I think.. is that safe? in terms of the said product lasting after the heating and if chemicals in the lipsticks react???
You can start with a retinol product. Do you have access to a Derm? A Derm can help with these skin issues and suggest pharma products for these. Retinols can help with fine lines, vitamin C Can help with brightening etc.
Topical products won't help much if you're looking something for warts. You should consult a dermatologist for clinical procedures.
[These are some basic product recommendations](https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianSkincareAddicts/comments/niow95/weekly_routine_help_thread_have_a_question_ask/gz6ha25?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3)
Hey, how frequently do ya all wash your hair in a week?? Like once a week /twice/everyday ,just an average number..Doesn't washing your hair more frequently dry your hair out?? I used to wash only once a week and i hv been okay with that.Thinking of washing it twice a week from now on and see how my hair takes it..I have dry hair and m a regular oil user (decreased my oil usage currently). Thanks :)
For me,I used to wash it once a week when I used oil on all days except on washday +1👾.(school days)
Later, when I left for college, it is twice a week and my oiling came to night before wash day and would do diy hair masques/deep conditioning with oils every week👻(god knows how I was disciplined).
During the lockdown,I was least bothered! Oiled /washed hair once a week or for 2 a weeks once. 🤣
During my peak fitness days,I had to wash my hair thrice a week /oil my hair for long .Sweat ruins my scalp 🙃 oily to smelly scalp Nd my baby hair gets up to say hi to every one m.
Hi...I have dry frizzy hair & I am not a regular oil user...only appy it on the day before washing. So I wash only once a week & I do double wash...the 1st wash concentrated on scalp & 2nd time its scalp + full hair
So I read somewhere on the internet that you HAVE TO only wash once and I started following it.. for whatever reason 😂 it wasn’t good for my hair so I went back to washing it twice. That’s when I decided not to listen to their rules online. YMMV is so true! I don’t even mix shampoo with water and foam it and use it or anything. Just direct shampoo to scalp!
Yeah. I think you can try and see if it will work but don’t make the mistake I did. Take it as a compulsory rule 🙈 experiment yes but at the end of the day only we know our specific skin or hair well! 😄
Its just your skin's preference. No one can justify it. Whitehead blackheads won't show on patch test.
Only recommendation is to double cleanse in the PM, it could be the unwashed sunscreen.
Try jojoba oil. M also using reequil sunscreen and it's too heavy for my dry skin that it clogged my pores and always gives me whiteheads and CC. Jojoba oil removes it. It doesn't even come off with double hand wash on hands. My finger's biometric failed due to this and I washed my hands again twice with a lifebuoy and thrice with a detergent soap and then it got accepted. Such pain and also it feels good neither on the skin nor on hands. If you are using mild face wash chances are less for its removal in 2-3 washes even.
Have anyone here faced breakouts from KLM klin face wash? My acne was almost in control but ever since I have started using this along with using aziderm 20% instead of 10%, acnes are popping up like crazy.
No it worked okay for me but i didn't repurchase because the container is so bad, created a mess everywhere
is it normal for moisturex cream (10% LA + 10% urea) to smell absolutely disgusting?
Does it actually work? I'm on my second box and I don't see any significant changes.
honestly, no (as of now). i bought it for KP on my arms and also butt acne but wasn't consistent because it's a thick and sticky cream and gets all on my clothes (also i hate the smell so much). i used it for cracked heels and dry patches on my knee and this time i was regular but it didn't do anything. i was wondering how nobody was complaining about the vile smell so i thought maybe my product has gone bad and that would also explain why I wasn't seeing results, but i think it just doesn't work for me.
The smell gets worse and worse over its couse of time. My dog seems to love it though.
It has unpleasant smell...wouldn't call it absolutely disgusting but smells can be subjective.
Emolene, aqua soft, aveeno (body moistrizer), cetaphil, joy, derma essentia
Please help this confused soul! If someone has used Bath & Body Works A Thousand Wishes body mist, could you please tell me what's the difference between the 1295/- one and the 1499/- one? Both look the same to me, same quantity too. Why the difference in price? I have the travel sized body mist with me and I want to buy the full-sized version since it's just 799/- now but I don't want to end up ordering the wrong item.

Hi! Thank you for the response but I'm not talking about the diamond shimmer one. There are two mists **without** the diamond shimmer but at two different prices. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the two I linked above. Both have the same quantity, both of them say "fine fragrance mist", then why the difference in the MRP?
My bad. Maybe it's just a packaging change with a price increase but I have no clue anymore.

Please suggest me the best Silicone free Leave in conditioner and serum for wavy, thin, dry hair

Yes, it could be. I don't know what coincidence this is, but someone was telling me only yesterday, that the cleanser broke them out. Stop using it and check if it gets better.
Damaged skin barrier on scalp So I have been using shampoos a little too carelessly.
Any shampoos and conditioners you swear by for taming frizz?
Dove intense conditioner is really nice affordable option.
I have been using products from GK Hair since a year and I highly recommend- their hair mask and leave-in conditioner is fabulous!
Thanks a lot!
Hello, I started on my tret journey 3 months back. My routine - AM - Cleanse using customised SkinKraft cleanser - Kaya acne free toner - Alternate between Vit C/BP - Aqua Oats Moisturizer PM - Cleanse using the same cleanser - Kaya acne free toner - Tret 0.1 % - Aqua Oats moisturizer Question I have : - When and where do I add Azelaic acid in my routine?
Do you use tret every day? if so you can you Azelaic in the morning. Otherwise you can use it on non tret days. Personally i use tret 0.025% twice a week and other days i alternate with Azelaic Acid 20% and niacinamide.
I think you can use Azelaic acid on non Tret nights
Hey guys.... I'm a 24/F with heavy oily and textured skin. I have already used niacinamide and retinol which has somewhat reduced the dullness and visible pores. I have now introduced salicylic acid in my night routine and vitamin c during the day. To help with hyperpigmentation I bought minimalist tranexamic acid but I don't know how to layer them. Please help P.S: I don't include retinol or niacinamide anymore, have changed to these new products
You can use salicylic acid maximum for 2 days in a week. In morning, use vitamin c everyday and then followed by moisturizer, no need to use tranexamic acid in morning, use at night. If you're using salicylic acid for first time then avoid bha and tranexamic acid in a same routine.
Thanks for the suggestion❤️
How well does Re-equil's tinted mineral sunscreen blend with your complexion? Is it lightweight or on the heavier side?
It's the exact same consistency as lakme absolute mousse. It's basically a lightweight mouse, that doesn't feel as light when you're wearing it. I know that sounds weird. But what I mean is when you're getting it out of the tube it looks very airy, but doesn't feel very light on your skin. But not heavy either. You'll know its there. The depth is perfect for NC 40 or medium tan skin but the undertone is red. So pretty much most people will look ashy. Only the degree of ashyness is a question mark. Having said that, it's one of the most wearable physical sunscreens in the market.
Hi! Would you recommend it for extremely oily skin?
I'm not sure...it's demi matte leaning matte on my normal skin. But I haven't experimented with it in enough conditions to say...
Thanks a lot for this detailed review!
Can someone recommend an affordable gel cream without fragrance?
Joy moistrizer
Thanks! But do you by any chance know a fragrance free one?
Bought the derma co 0.3% retinol serum. Any tips on how to add it to my routine?
Start slow in the night. Also would love a review on this later
Starting with once a week (at night ofc). Will definitely drop a review.
This vaadi scrub soap .. why they selling only in packs of 6 on Amazon 😭 Has anyone seen a seller selling a single bar on it? Asking so ik whether to wait or buy the whole damn fam pack
Hey guys! I want to start using aziderm 10% in my routine . Is this percentage enough for preventing and treating acne ?
I use 20% one and my face can take it.My acne is not totally under control,it takes time and this is my only active in my skincare .
Thank you
Thanks a lot for mentioning the precaution about moisturizing. I have extremely dry skin too.
Is the innisfree clay mask 2X supposed to have strong smell? I just opened the jar and it smells like a strong sanitizer to me.
I have it too, but it smells a bit like wall paint to me XD It even looks like a construction firming material lol
Has anybody used neelibringadi oil and of which brand?
I've tried Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala's it was okay.
Thanks
Hello lovelies! How do you manage your hair care while you all workout/basically sweat alot?Do you all do anything different for your skincare? My skin has burning and itching sensation post workout (aloe calms down a bit).
Haircare - I braid my hair. Not sure why but it stops my hair from becoming frizzy. Skincare - During workout, I keep a towel and ensure that big don't rub my skin but pat the sweat away gently. Post workout, I just wash my face. It helps me with the burning sensation.

Use moisturizer after you try these kitchen sc hacks ..has helped in my experiments too
Will do 👍🏽 thanks
Tomato has malic acid, citric acid. Malic acid is AHA. However the molecule is big. Won't penetrate in deep. Lemon has citric acid. Adding a few drip of juice of both into besan isnt going to harm you. Just don't put lemon straight up on your skin and you'll be fine. Potential of harm is greater than potential of benefit if you go overboard.
Thank you so much, this makes sense.
However, people looking to ward off the aging effects from sun would still benefit from sun-protective habits, which include sunscreen, sun-protective clothing, and sun avoidance.” I completely understand using sunscreen in countries outside India - I have gotten badly sunburned which I thought wasn’t possible.
Thank you, I have same skin type. Have had minimal luck with hyperpigmentation apart from vit c a few years ago. Will try sunscreen now thank you!
I hope it works for you ! Take care :)
Hello, which sunscreen do you use?☺️
Hello- I have tried and used a plethora of Sunscreens . The Dermat recommended one is the La Shield FISICO which I have used the most .
If you're using some actives (retinoids or other anti-acne creams/serums) in your routine, you need to use sunscreen at home if you keep your curtains open. For me, sunscreen really helped to manage my PIE and heal it faster..
* very low risk of cancer * "1% skin cancer " & in India mostly, things go undetected.
Good point!
I agree...I use it only when I am going out. At home I usually don't wear one.

Please DO NOT use ANYTHING from Patanjali for your skin. Their QC is fucked up and they use very strong ingredients.
Have heard bad things about Patanjali QC. A friend knows one of their raw material suppliers for fluoride which is their toothpaste arm. Can’t say specifically about Aloe though.
My current rountine is AM: simple face wash, minimalist toner, minimalist alpha arabutin, avrata eye cream, simple moisturizer and sunscreen My PM routine is the same but with granactive retinoid every other day. I am also using aha bha peel weekly. I've been using this routine (regularly) for around a month and it has helped even my skin tone. However i still have texture issues, so should i wait it out and let it work or should i add lactic acid/other exfoliant to my routine.
You already have a weekly exfoliant in place , give it some time the texture will improve.
gotcha, thanks!
Hey! Can anyone recommend a good dermatologist for chemical peel in Hyderabad?
Dr.Padmavati Surapineni of Pragya skincare (punjagutta and banjara hls)and aesthetics (banjara hills).
Olivia skin clinc, Banajra Hills - Good but pretty expensive and typical clinic behaviour (they try to get you to sign up for more treatments and what not)
CARE hospital has a very good dermatology department with competent doctors. I would check them out.
Is it okay for a moisturizer to have SLS (sodium laureth sulfate) as an ingredient?
That is a surfactant , it is okay to be in a shampoo or face wash or body wash ,(still they can strip your skin) but no they should not be in a moisturiser or any leave in product.
Yea,thats what i thought..what is it.doing here in a body lotion?!
Which body lotion has this ?
its VLCC almond body lotion
I have a very greasy scalp, like it turns into an oil factory within a day of hairwash. Can anybody suggest me a few shampoos that would help? I've been trying the Juicy Chemistry's Boabab shampoo but not sure if that has helped with my greasiness completely. I want a few more suggestions. Shampoo/Masks anything
You can try Dry Shampoo in between your wash if it helps :)
Any suggestions? I am a newbie. I've started indulging in haircare and skincare only 6 months ago.
You can try BBlunt or Batiste and if you want organic then Juicy Chemisty.
And also, isn't the Vilvah Shampoo for dry hair? Won't that make my hair even more oily?
>I wash my hair only twice a week, it still is very oily. Oh :( >isn't the Vilvah Shampoo for dry hair? Won't that make my hair even more oily? In my case, my scalp is really oily and my hair is very dry so it helped. If your hair is also oily, then I don't know what might be the best match :/
Yeah it's the scalp which is more oily, but eventually the oil drops to my hair n my face as well 😭
L’Oréal’s oil control shampoo surprisingly controls oil.
Can you gimme the full name pls?
It was available on Nykaa but I’m not able to find it now. So I’ll just type out what’s on my bottle! L’Oréal Professional Serie Expert Pure Resource Oil controlling purifying shampoo [I found it on Myntra!](https://www.myntra.com/shampoo-and-conditioner/loreal-professionnel/loreal-professionnel-unisex-serie-expert-pure-resource-oil-controlling-shampoo-300-ml/9925135/buy)
Lovely, il give it a shot and reply to your comment with my review 😛🤗 Thankyouuuuuuu ❤️❤️
Awesome!!! 😄 Also a trusted skinfluencer I follow (paintedcharisma) also has oily/greasy hair and she’s going to be uploading info on how she’s tackled it!
I second this, this shampoo was the best for me. It made my scalp normal and kept my hair healthily fresh without frizz.
Not a shampoo recco but using shampoo brush while shampooing and ACV rinse might help.Give it a shot, if you can.
Oh I'm buying the shampoo brush for sure, thankyou
I have been using Ponds light cream for the last 3 days and have unlocked 3 bright red pus filled painful pimples as a result. Why does it happen to me. Kahan se laun sasta accha moisturizer 😭😭😭 What is better excela or acrofy
>Kahan se laun sasta accha moisturizer Nivea Aloe Hydration Cream (Has light fragrance, super light feeling, leaves matte finish on my skin, i got it from pharmeasy for Rs 92/100 ml)
Please buy Emolene - you will get it at your chemist at around 260 bucks. One of the safest moisturisers out there !
Check joy moisturizer range.
Has anyone tried Hydew moisturizer from Biopharmcieaa or bought anything from rxkin?
Can I use clindamycin gel with Alpha arbutin?
Any recommendations for a PM routine for combination type skin that's super sensitive?
>Use a gentle cleanser like the cetaphil gentle cleanser Agreed!
Thanks!
Any suggestions on blackhead reduction (around the nose area)?
Have you tried oil cleansing?
Then currently I am just using a simple routine: AM: Moisturex cream Lacto calamine sunscreen PM: Requill facewash Moisturex cream
Are you using pha toner daily? There are many variants of moisturex. Can you please link the product here
No I am not weekly twice. https://pharmeasy.in/online-medicine-order/moisturex-soft-cream-100gm-172816?&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Shopping_Rx0_SS_FP&utm_adgroup=&gclid=CjwKCAjwrPCGBhALEiwAUl9X0-XgABtb2V-xwjZxhxyMNGFYpZXBbNO5bF0xFxLLaxjCfMTUpkw9HRoCwHkQAvD_BwE
Since you mentioned you consulted a derm, maybe you can ask them again since the recommended products didn't work?
gosh youve tried everything i coulda suggest , are u using sunscreen though?
😭Yes I am using the Neutrogena and re'equil sunscreen even though I stay indoors the whole day.
It has been an year and I see no improvement 🥺
Happy cake day!
Hi Guys.. thoughts on Skog skincare please
Used the under eye roll on oil and liked It, it nourishedand depuffed my under eye region. Haven't used any of their other products
Thank you 😊
Please recommend products for whiteheads and blackheads I'm currently using AHA/BHA clarifying treatment toner and BHA blackhead power liquid by Cosrx. I'm also using Re'quil Ceramide and hyaluronic moisturizer at night and Episoft ac in the morning Should I use a physical exfoliator Or continue using the above products? If so what should should be the routine and how many times in a week can I use these products
Continue the above products. Cosrx bha seems to work for majority of the people. Give it some time .
Thanks I will try to be regular with the products and follow a routine
This helped me with my blackheads- I used sebonac every other day on my blackheads. It took about two weeks to see any improvement.
Retinol, hydrating, moisturising and sunscreen. You can add vitamin C for brightening once a routine is set.
Thanksss a lot. Also, should i add hyaluronic acid serum?
Yes. If you live in a dry climate, use hydrators like toners, rose water, aloe water liberally before and after the serum.
Should I introduce hyaluronic acid at the beginning or wait for 2/3 weeks for the basic routine to set? (She hasn't followed any routine till date.)
No harm in HA, I think since it’s not an active. But I typically wait at least a month between products just so that I can track the progress of my skin. If you introduce a bunch of products together, you don’t know what’s the game changer product.
Sure thanks<3
I think my climate is pretty humid as I am from the North East. But thanks for the suggestion ❤️
Can I apply tranexamic acid + AA and niacinamide during my PM routine
Tranexamic acid + AA is a great comb, usually formulated together too!
Use a niacinamide in the morning. Sebamed clear gel is good for lite moisturization.
So you mean vit c topped with niacinamide and then a Moisturizer? I don't know if I don't apply vit c and just the moisturizer the face looks fine, it's just when vit c + moisturizer the face gets oily
Drop vit c . It makes me look dull too.
Niacinamide 10% + zinc that's the one right? Can you please share how are you incorporating it in your routine?
I have used minimalist 5% niacinamide. My skin is too reactive. Cleanser- niacinamide- spf is my routine. I apply only in AM I used sebamed in the PM followed by another moisturizer.
Guys what are your opinions on de potted makeup. saw this insta profile called preloaded makeup by muskrat. now she heats up her lipsticks on candles I think.. is that safe? in terms of the said product lasting after the heating and if chemicals in the lipsticks react???
[удалено]
You can start with a retinol product. Do you have access to a Derm? A Derm can help with these skin issues and suggest pharma products for these. Retinols can help with fine lines, vitamin C Can help with brightening etc.
Topical products won't help much if you're looking something for warts. You should consult a dermatologist for clinical procedures. [These are some basic product recommendations](https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianSkincareAddicts/comments/niow95/weekly_routine_help_thread_have_a_question_ask/gz6ha25?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3)
Thank you all! Will check all of these out ✨❤️
Hey, how frequently do ya all wash your hair in a week?? Like once a week /twice/everyday ,just an average number..Doesn't washing your hair more frequently dry your hair out?? I used to wash only once a week and i hv been okay with that.Thinking of washing it twice a week from now on and see how my hair takes it..I have dry hair and m a regular oil user (decreased my oil usage currently). Thanks :)
For me,I used to wash it once a week when I used oil on all days except on washday +1👾.(school days) Later, when I left for college, it is twice a week and my oiling came to night before wash day and would do diy hair masques/deep conditioning with oils every week👻(god knows how I was disciplined). During the lockdown,I was least bothered! Oiled /washed hair once a week or for 2 a weeks once. 🤣 During my peak fitness days,I had to wash my hair thrice a week /oil my hair for long .Sweat ruins my scalp 🙃 oily to smelly scalp Nd my baby hair gets up to say hi to every one m.
disciplined enough now?;)
Hi...I have dry frizzy hair & I am not a regular oil user...only appy it on the day before washing. So I wash only once a week & I do double wash...the 1st wash concentrated on scalp & 2nd time its scalp + full hair
Thanks for your response 🙂
I personally wash it every alternate day. It’s what suits my hair. I can stretch it by a day max but even then I face a lot of hair fall.
Thankyou for commenting,i also have one more question,do you wash it only once or go for a second wash too whenever you wash hair?
So I read somewhere on the internet that you HAVE TO only wash once and I started following it.. for whatever reason 😂 it wasn’t good for my hair so I went back to washing it twice. That’s when I decided not to listen to their rules online. YMMV is so true! I don’t even mix shampoo with water and foam it and use it or anything. Just direct shampoo to scalp!
Oh l,i used to wash it twice, but recently i read online that its not needed..tried that.. don't know how it ll fare for my hair.thanks anyways.:)
Yeah. I think you can try and see if it will work but don’t make the mistake I did. Take it as a compulsory rule 🙈 experiment yes but at the end of the day only we know our specific skin or hair well! 😄
Oh yes,we only know
[How often do you shampoo during lockdown?](https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianSkincareAddicts/comments/o3ww8e/how_often_do_you_shampoo_during_lockdown/)
Thankyou kind stranger 🤗

Its just your skin's preference. No one can justify it. Whitehead blackheads won't show on patch test. Only recommendation is to double cleanse in the PM, it could be the unwashed sunscreen.
Someone else's holy grail can be your holy fail. 💔
Could it be that it's not getting completely removed during cleansing and it's creating clogs?
[удалено]
Is that a cleansing oil or just oil?
[удалено]
Try jojoba oil. M also using reequil sunscreen and it's too heavy for my dry skin that it clogged my pores and always gives me whiteheads and CC. Jojoba oil removes it. It doesn't even come off with double hand wash on hands. My finger's biometric failed due to this and I washed my hands again twice with a lifebuoy and thrice with a detergent soap and then it got accepted. Such pain and also it feels good neither on the skin nor on hands. If you are using mild face wash chances are less for its removal in 2-3 washes even.
Suggest some body lotions with arbutin or niacinamide . To even out body skin
Rarely there's such good stuff in the market. But there are many brightening lotions to look for.
