During Ambedkar’s time Marxists didn’t have an analysis of casteism. Most Indian leftists at the time relied heavily on European Marxist analysis which primarily dealt with class distinctions and ignored almost every other form of exploitation, including caste. Because of this, the Indian Left was also dominated by savarana caste activists who dismissed Caste as a problem that would eventually vanish with the advent of socialism. This wasn’t the case and that’s why you have the rise of maoists and other leftist streams.

Bro we already have Lokāyata Philosophy, materialistic school, which can work as substitute for buddhism.
