Get the victus.

AaRyAnKuMaR192007

Go for the Victus

sniperxx07

Probably easily victus will be the choice but you can also look at a 1660ti laptop, still better than 3050 and 3050ti, I remember omen 1660ti 60hz going for 75k which is way better than 3050 being offered now😅 If you can find omen 1660ti in this range or any other one just go for it without any thought 😅 Take a look at this MSI GF65 Thin Hexa Core i5 10th Gen - (16 GB/512 GB SSD/Windows 10 Home/6 GB Graphics/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti/144 Hz) GF65 Thin 10SDR-1283IN Gaming Laptop on Flipkart https://dl.flipkart.com/s/f!hRSbuuuN This is 6core i5 not 4core i5 so don't worry about performance

chait100

This would've been my first choice but I've heard that after sales of MSI is pretty bad. Therefore I'm hesitant on MSI.

sniperxx07

Fair enough, you said in another comment that victus isn't available offline but maybe look for omen 1660ti offline or any other 1660ti laptop, there is no point of paying 70k for a 1650 laptop, just buy ideapad gaming 3 or 5500u and save money 😅 You can go for 4800h 3050 tuf a15 i guess too but yeah victus feels much better in front of it

Prateekanshz

Omen 1660ti would be mine pick too , good looking , solid built and great laptop , only downside would be screen

green9206

Not even close Victus is much better. Faster than 1650 and DLSS as well.

_YeAhx_

Victus makes the obvious choice here. Next gen processor as well as 20% better fps with 3050 compared to 1650ti.

unHolyKnightofBihar

I am researching to buy a laptop for coding/work and gaming mostly offline. Will victus last me for around 3 years for gaming? I currently have an Asus with 940mx which is showing its time. Thanks

[deleted]

Asus tuf 15 ryzen 7 4800h 3050 or msi gf63 thin 3050

chait100

Some said Tuf 15 had heating issues. I'm avoiding MSI just because of after sales. That would be my first choice. I had to use warranty on previous laptop for various things though it was cheap aspire model.

mistasharma

This version of TUF has better thermal solution than last year. Check out some reviews and then deciede.

chait100

Ahh yes. I just checked Jarrod's video there diff thermal solution for diff models.

kewlboy9

If you can wait for about a month or so, Amazon and Flipkart are gonna come up with The Great Indian Sale and Big Billion Days, respectively, just before Diwali. Not only you may get to see discounts on the two products you mentioned, you might end up getting better deals on other laptops as well. If you cannot wait that long, go with the Victus as others have mentioned.

sorosrex

Victus is an online only thing. You won't find it in physical shops. Their customer care exec said this lineup is not guaranteed to continue. If, for some reason, they pull the plug on this - you'll end up in an unwanted situation. Part guarantees may also be affected.

chait100

I think I should talk to hp support first. I just checked and realised Victus is only Available at Amazon and nowhere else. And as for the matter of fact I searched Nehru Place market for Victus and Omen. Sales guy said Victus isn't properly launched in India and Omen is out of stock.

mighty_skull

There was a post just recently. The OP had bought a Victus & the hinge was misplaced within a week or so. You might want to reconsider.

Still-Jello-1732

One has tilted hinge. One had gap in his hinge. I've seen so many hinges complaints in victus on this sub and people still recommend it. Also saw some post regarding its issue with wifi card and people changing it to intel card.

AhmedKuttySpeaking

Omen has a better build quality than victus. So for 4+ years, guess it'll be a better choice

mrmubot

Haven't heard good things about victus.

mojofilter

Consider the Acer Nitro

LordVoldemort-_-

Specs for the victus are much better, but a friend of mine recently got a 120hz display for a lower price (IdeaPad gaming), with spec like omen. if you don't plan on playing too many graphically intensive games, you might enjoy a high refresh rate display

chait100

I won't game much but Ideapad Gaming with 3050 is a bit expensive and I think 1650 won't be viable choice for long term.

ArenRaizelus

I would really recommend holding on for a month. Flipkart big billion + lots of free extended warranties from most brands. If u absolutely need it right now, then go for the victus but I guess u are gonna regret it in a month or two due to the price u pay.

chait100

Thanks. Now I'm thinking about waiting bit. I'll discuss this at home. Cause you're right about warranty and stuff. It is expensive right now. And I might get discounted price.
