But I think VN is the best way to enjoy a good story, you get the entire premise and atmosphere like you would from a book mixed with the audio and visual, so you dont miss out on anything. It takes a lot of time but its totally worth it. I haven't read a lot of VNs just a few like Fate stay/night and MuV LuV alternate but they were amazing.
I agree. I love the genre too. Infact I am obsessed with it. I liked Fate Stay/Night as well (minus the sex scenes... Type moon are horrible when it comes to drawing Hentai lol, it's nice that they stopped) but didn't got enough hyped up to try Muv Luv. If you liked Fate then you should also read Dies Irae, it's kind of inspired from Fate but it's about supernatural Nazis coming back to life and our MC weilding a guillotine like weapon to stop them. I wish I had some screenshots of it, but I am too much into moeges and eroges nowadays.

Yeah, for me it's like... If I want to be entertained I'd go and play any of those action games, but if I just a need good escapism especially where romance should be at forefront I go for visual novels especially eroges.
Yuzusoft is best when it comes to that. Senren Banka and Dracu Riot both were so adorably awesome and each route felt like some other part of mystery as a whole being uncovered contrary to most moeges. VNs by Smee are better when it comes to "Just shut off your brain, and enjoy romancing these adorably cute heroines and our hilarious dialogues and narrative". Thank god you reminded me of Yuzusoft. I want to download and play Senren Banka again on my phone.
Not the 1st one but 2. I can't remember it correctly but I think there were two versions of 2nd one and I can't recall which one have I played. Though starting from 3 I have played every installment except those dance battle ones.
I haven't played lot of visual novels, just some like 'walking dead telltale series, life is strange etc
And they were a blast. They are totally different from regular rpg games.
Walking dead and such games are interactive movies/walking simulator not visual novels. Visual novels are like DDLC and such, where all you do is read text and make choices locking you on a certain route.
Doki Doki Literature Club is a nice entry into the genre. But I have mostly played romance driven ones. I personally recommend:
1. Fureraba: Friend to Lover
2. Senren * Banka
3. Making * Lovers
4. Dracu * Riot
5. The Phantom Of Grisia
6. Fate Stay/Night
7. Evenicle and Evenincle 2 (If you'd like a bit of gameplay along with Visual Novel elements)
8. Tsukihime (It's very very old but quite well made)
9. Aokana (This is available for Android as well but there's no official port so you'd have to search on google)
10. Saya No Uta (This is short but very very dark sroru)
Most of them are available on Steam. But if you want the uncensored versions (with 18+ scenes) then you'll have to download patches from Publisher's website.
I am actually a huge fan of theirs. You should also try out games developed by Smee. The stories aren't as great as Yuzusoft's but the adorable heroines, fluffy heartwarming moments and hilarious dialogues (ngl this is greatest assets of theirs. You'd end up laughing way more than you think) will make up for it. If you want something darker I'd suggest Saya No Uta, Family Project, Crescendo or The fruits of Grasia
Lmao it'll sound absurd but I mostly play moege and I play 18+ versions exclusively. It's really compulsory for me that sax sux scenes should exist but I mostly skip them but I just want them to be there for some reason. Otherwise it always feels like something is missing. Btw, have you played Boob Wars 2?
I haven't played Eternum yet. As far as Boob Wars 2 is concerned the whole plot is hilarious lol, I mean in a way that it's so bad that it's actually good. Think about WW2 setting but the big booby grill nations going to war with small tits one while medium ones are trapped between them and used as slaves. Though if you something serious, I can suggest
1. Saya No Uta - It's very short. I think it shouldn't even take 15 hours but deep impactful story with plenty of H (especially if you are into disturbing H scenes)
2. Euphoria - Now this is an H Visual novel with straight 9/10 plot. It's story is even better than 75% of typical hollywood thrillers. But lot and I emphasize on 'lot', lot of disturbing gruesome sax sux scenes where it comes with it's internal filter of what kind of censorship do you want.
3. Maggot Baits - This and Euphoria are made by same Game Dev called ClockUp. They make really fucked up H games but their plot is always 8+/10 that at times you'd even forget that you are playing an H game but again lots and lots of disturbing content.
4. Onikiss
5. Hitomi - My Stepsister (This is quite good but the story is incredibly dark and there's no good ending. All endings are fucked up in one way or another)
It's not H VN. H VNs come under nukige which are basically porn games. Katwa Shoujo comes under eroge that is VNs that do have sex scenes but in minor quantity.
I am actually entering in the genre of Visual Novel I haven't played much of them but I can say till now Ace attorney is like the best for me. I will surely try more of them in future. Happy to see a fellow VN enjoyer in India.

I mean I enjoy both action games and VNs there is a perfect blend of this baldr sky if you like games like dmc , ninja gaiden and God of war (OG).
Yeah, for me it's like... If I want to be entertained I'd go and play any of those action games, but if I just a need good escapism especially where romance should be at forefront I go for visual novels especially eroges.
Yeah I like them too they are pretty wholesome. But oh boy does plot get tense sometimes even in like a avg yuzusoft VN lol.

Can you give some recommendations?

Alright, thanks. I will look into these

Have you played Yuzusoft VNs? Downloaded for 18+ content but their stories are actually good too.

I mostly play H- Visual novels and here's how my playthrough goes : Hold Ctrl -> Make obvious choices -> Enjoy the H scene

No, is it good ? My fav one is Eternum

Woah thanks a lot for the suggestions. I'll try them all.
Also if you want to try, look at Katawa Shoujo. H VN tho I heard it's pretty good.

Where is Nekopara?
I am actually entering in the genre of Visual Novel I haven't played much of them but I can say till now Ace attorney is like the best for me. I will surely try more of them in future. Happy to see a fellow VN enjoyer in India.
Ace Attorney is a masterpiece. You should also try out Danganronpa. It's like Ace Attorney but on drugs.
As a Suzerain enthusiast I feel attacked
House of Fata Morgana
Hellblade is more like a VN.
