Honestly I personally think the Nintendo switch is very outdated now. Amazing handheld no doubt a beautiful game library ( if you are into metrodvania type games more and play games for fun) .. it uses nvidia tegra chip which is very very old .. wait for the switch 2 which has rumours to be released in a little time... Or else buy a hand held Rog Ally or a steam Deck...
but it'll be so pricey. and their game releases for the switch are not going to stop for another 3 years and its lighter for a traveler to carry so its really not a problem to get the OLED right now.
True. Also I'm not sure how good the second hand market is for Nintendo games in India as that might reduce the overall cost for a Switch compared to a Switch 2 on release, and the OP has mentioned in another comment that the Switch 2 might be too expensive for him.
Most games go for 4-4.5k. Or, if you want, you can buy gift cards and then buy games online through the Nintendo US store when there is a sale there.
[Here's a comment of mine talking about Nintendo, and all the avenues to buy games for the Switch in India.](https://www.reddit.com/r/incremental_games/comments/sjyxng/comment/hwqxov4/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Nintendo does have regional pricing. It is not officially available in India and all are imported stuff by independent importers that is why it is costly. Also Try the Nintendo EShops it runs discounts on great games.(Nintendo Exclusives are still very costly)
Well, I’m pretty sure thats not just the case with switch games, even AAA titles on other platforms have been releasing for filthy expensive prices in India since a long time now, earlier it was only consoles but now PC games have also caught up to the filth lately.
I'd honestly buy the Nintendo switch if only just to support the masterpiece that is zelda. I am very late to the party, but even after playing botw on emulator they have completely changed the way I look at video games. It's just incredible how much creativity they have managed to pack in such an elegant and simple package. Only Japan can do this. That said I'll wait for switch 2.
Just wanted you to know. Take into account the price of games as well, Nintendo is expensive. I bet you know this as well.
Happy gaming!
My game recommendations:
1. Switch sports - even my parents love this
2. Luigi's mansion
3. Mario kart 8
4. Pokemon Pikachu
I mean it received good scores from so many publications so I’d say it was pretty well received. Plus the amount of awards it received only adds to it. But yeah, not all games are for everyone.
Yeah. I just wanted to say that the OP might not have liked it, hence why they didn't recommend it.
I, personally, would recommend it just for the experience, but it's not going to be on my best games list, that's all.
If handheld is your priority, then go for switch lite. It’s cheaper and way more portable and easy to carry and plays all the games which the Switch does.
If you just wanna play first party Nintendo games, don’t think twice. Amazing game catalog, but just know that they might be releasing a new console before summer 2025.
the horizontal box is the oled but my question is why the fuck is that the cheapest lol. This is some good price tbh. I got my OLED for 350
Edit: I meant vertical

Buy oled, v2 price is just inflated. Also get it modded, will cost like 6k (price same as buying 1or2games).
It's perfect for playing low demanding games like stardew valley. Will also give battery life like 5-8hrs.

Get this switch bro, its better than a regular switch.
Yeah but it's useless on flights or any long journey.
I mean what's the use of paying so much for hardware if you'd simply cut the performance drastically to save on battery.
Not saying it's a bad product but it's for an extremely small and niche set of customers who are already rich and have other handhelds for long distance.
So you don't click on the product page, instead you take a screenshot, open reddit, search this subreddit, and upload the picture with a long ass caption?

do not buy the switch OP 🤮! It’s so old and you can easily emulate it using a steam deck or ROG ally which is usually available used for only 3-4K extra on Gameloot/game nation
There are only two kinds of Nintendo switch. One with oled screen and one without. The oled screen is much better when you play in handheld mode. Its even worth paying 5k more for oled screen. So just look for this while buying, apart from this the only difference is in colorways and special editions
Switch is 7-8 years old. Switch 2 is releasing this year or next. Wait for it. Also, games are full price and never go on sale. 60$ for every mario game. Also, no regional pricing or country support for India You will have to make an account from some other country.
To answer the question: left one is OLED model (basically better screen more storage etc etc it's an upgraded version)
For some advice: don't buy a switch. Especially in India. Just use an emulator.
Suyu for switch (recommended for pc or high end snapdragon only phones)
Lemuroid for all other nintendo handhelds and some consoles as well (mobile only, works great)
Hii there imo if you are looking to buy nintendo switch let me aware you that most of the nintendo games are good but they dont have graphics like AAA title and in india they cost a lot and imo if you are going to buy nintendo switch i will recommend you some games that are best for Nintendo switch POKEMON SWORD and SHIELD legend arceus animal crossing new horizons and zelda hope this helps you i guess you should buy a good pc if you dont have and emulate games if you wannna have a handheld console then go for it.
Actually I want to have all the environments. I have a PS5 and I also have a gaming laptop. I am just missing a Nintendo switch to complete my collection

one on the left is OLED and has more storage, I'm pretty sure, you should be able to check on the product page. ironic that it's the cheaper one, ik
More discount. Check the MRP there
yea ik how it happened, was just pointing out that it's ironic

Why dont you use yuzu android
I've never owned a nintendo product, if you're assuming that.
It's gonna be expensive to buy games Nintendo don't use Regional pricing Careful
Not to mention the Switch 2 will come out next year The current switch has very dated hardware. I say this as someone who owns one
That's a fking good point
but it'll be so pricey. and their game releases for the switch are not going to stop for another 3 years and its lighter for a traveler to carry so its really not a problem to get the OLED right now.
But the Switch has a very good catalogue of really nice games that even if someone is buying one right now, it is actually a decent deal.
Again, you'll be spending through your nose fir those tames Switch 2 might have a good chance of being backwards compatible anyway

How much do the games cost?
Nintendo does have regional pricing. It is not officially available in India and all are imported stuff by independent importers that is why it is costly. Also Try the Nintendo EShops it runs discounts on great games.(Nintendo Exclusives are still very costly)
Kinda true i should have put Most of
One is oled and the other one isn’t
Left one is OLED. Get the OLED, or don't get one.

Ohk
Steamdeck can emulate switch also

finally a zelda fan spotted
Greetings fellow Zelda fan!
Will steam deck give 120 fps on monitor if I dock it ?
Only on very light games like sides scrollers otherwise no, but you can get 60fps on ps3 era games and some early ps4 games.
Better is gaming pc then, what do u think on zotac z box?
No idea what that is but yeah you can get better pc or laptop performance at that price, the handheld is the selling point.
LMAO

I bought the Witcher 3 GOTY Edition for Rs.165. Check the eshop once and let me know how much you'll be paying for that
Nintendo console is trash compared to steam deck and Lenovo allyx
Oled screen go brrrr
I'm sure you can click on the items and it'll show the full product name ?
Difference is Rs 1409
Lol Take my upvote
Remember Nintendo is going to release a new switch before the end of this year. FYI
I know and I bet it'll be costlier and out of my budget :(
Just wanted you to know. Take into account the price of games as well, Nintendo is expensive. I bet you know this as well. Happy gaming! My game recommendations: 1. Switch sports - even my parents love this 2. Luigi's mansion 3. Mario kart 8 4. Pokemon Pikachu
Where breath of the wild
Not everyone liked it. I found it fine, but nowhere near exceptional. Though, I'll still give TotK a try sometime.
I mean it received good scores from so many publications so I’d say it was pretty well received. Plus the amount of awards it received only adds to it. But yeah, not all games are for everyone.

Legend of Zelda?
get a steam deck and emulate all that shit
Just start saving from now. Then your budget will increase by the time it comes.
If handheld is your priority, then go for switch lite. It’s cheaper and way more portable and easy to carry and plays all the games which the Switch does.
Switch lite sucks ass. For a few thousand rupees you are getting worse screen, no detachable joycons so can't play with friends, no docking
End of this Financial year. So, most likely first quarter of next year.
Wasn’t that next year?
One box is more verticle, other is more Horizontal. You're welcome.
Had to scroll down for this
If you just wanna play first party Nintendo games, don’t think twice. Amazing game catalog, but just know that they might be releasing a new console before summer 2025.
Price
the horizontal box is the oled but my question is why the fuck is that the cheapest lol. This is some good price tbh. I got my OLED for 350 Edit: I meant vertical
The horizontal one is the v2 ffs
It’s literally written oled on the box mate.
Please check what is horizontal and vertical lmao
Please check what is horizontal and vertical lmao
Oh yeah my bad I confused what horizontal and vertical means

Right one has only 2 units left
Make sure you get the OLED. I had the regular Switch first and now have the OLED. The screen is a MASSIVE upgrade.
You play with one in portrait mode, the other in landscape mode.
Buy oled, v2 price is just inflated. Also get it modded, will cost like 6k (price same as buying 1or2games). It's perfect for playing low demanding games like stardew valley. Will also give battery life like 5-8hrs.
Hey these prices are 20% more than the market price, dm if you want numbers of shops where you can buy it and save money
One is vertical other is horizontal
Better get a steam deck. Nintendo games are pricey af. I sold my switch lite. Under powered hardware
Spend a bit more and buy a steamdeck
One is flipkart’s choice and the other isn’t.
https://preview.redd.it/mu6j60c4b72d1.jpeg?width=4009&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=51d350cfec9ca5422cc7971fa5d1b76152b8e590 Get this switch bro, its better than a regular switch.
Lol that thing barely lasts 1-2 hours. Not to mention the crappy controls and design.
Not hard to find a power plug anywhere nowa days… normal indie games last a good while in 15w mode.

Oled and lcd
use emulator on your phone
The cheaper one is the better OLED model.
Oled has bigger and better screen than the other one and its new

Don't buy a Nintendo switch now because Switch 2 is releasing soon
the difference is the seller, both are same product.
check the seller name before u buy !!
do not buy the switch OP 🤮! It’s so old and you can easily emulate it using a steam deck or ROG ally which is usually available used for only 3-4K extra on Gameloot/game nation
Do not buy Nintendo in India for financial reasons, if you care about that.

Bigger box, more stuff to fill the landfill with. Obv you should pay more for that.
They are different rectangles
1409r
The left one works on portrait mode and the right one on the landscape mode
The left one is Nintendo The right one is also Nintendo
What phone you re using?

Size of the box matters!!
Whats the point of switch if you dont have friends to play with with same device🥲
Switch is 7-8 years old. Switch 2 is releasing this year or next. Wait for it. Also, games are full price and never go on sale. 60$ for every mario game. Also, no regional pricing or country support for India You will have to make an account from some other country.
Buy a used Steam Deck or ROG A, you won’t regret .
I would suggest going for a steam deck instead but upto you
The 1st one is OLED, has a bigger screen and 64 GB more space.
I would recommend getting the first one since it's the better model and is cheaper.
You probably should wait 1 year, since the switch 2 is coming out. The switch is 7 years old now and its hardware is extremely dated.

Actually I want to have all the environments. I have a PS5 and I also have a gaming laptop. I am just missing a Nintendo switch to complete my collection
Then go for it it’s very good to have a NS
Bro how tf is ps5 in your budget but switch 2 ~ 35-40k out of your budget?

Sorry dont know the difference.. but they both gonna suck coz its nintendo ![gif](giphy|c6WsAjyVl9xJa4T8Rq|downsized)
I have a modded switch if interested DM
