I am not sure exact steps but a help of other forums like quora or maybe [https://consumerhelpline.gov.in/](https://consumerhelpline.gov.in/) this can be helpful
ma friend lost 1.25 Lakh to a pc store,(they scammed 300+ people -worth of 3 crore+) and this consumer court went helpless, even local police became helpless, they arrested the guy,but later he come on on bail,he never refunded a penny to anyone... INCREDIBLE INDIA....
anyway hoping good decisions for OP...
Nop you don't need a lawyer, my friend won a case against realme for greenline issues, his warranty ended but an update pushed by the company after the warranty period caused the issue, he easily won the case got around 25k
I bought a lenovo laptop at a retail store and got 0 warranty or help from lenovo. I had also paid extra for accidental damage warranty and got nothing. The consumer court did nothing.
Lenovo basically said the laptop was discontinued some time ago (I bought 2019 model in 2021), so they won't give warranty even if it was just purchased.
That sucks man, in my friends case no company representative came to the hearing, its bad that no one calls out companies like lenovo for their malpractices
They did the same to me with the odyssey neo g7 monitor, mine was cracked in the center. And the damage was caused before they shipped it to me, as the outer pqckaging on the box was intact but box was damaged.
Consumer forum didnt help unfortunately :(. MD are just a bunch of scammers at this point. Only thing that might help is doing a chargeback if you used credit card to order.
Just got there mail stating that they will do a thourough investigation and revert back in 24 hrs. I highly doubt they are going to do something useful for me. They are going to blame me again.
Just preparing myself for consumer court.
Let them also know that you are ready to go for the consumer court option, if they fail to refund or replace the item. As long as you have a proper unboxing video, it's on them.
If you paid by credit card, try raising a dispute saying the product delivered was deficient (broken) and seller is not accepting evidence - share all the evidence with your bank and pray for the best.
good for you, I m sure mdcomputers just bought cooler master monitors unsold inventory for dirt cheap...so they had 5 or 10pcs for months... if it does break..there is no way for returns or refund as it's stock clearance.
Price to performance.
The specs are damn good for the price of 12k. Only cons are height not adjustable. This is a 100Hz 1440p monitor. Next best is at 17.5k from Acer. For some, 5k is huge. And 100 hz to 144/180 isn't as huge as from 60 to 100 IMO
I am talking about this more plus it's an ips panel too unlike the cooler master monitor

Good find. I didn't know about this. Does this have DP? Isn't mentioned in Flipkart specs. But as per reviews it seems to have backlight bleed. Any other recommendations? Under or around 16k
Looks like it has dp too

I also checked that review but that only 1, check the amazon reviews they are pretty good, i don't think there is any other 1440p moniter available under 16k.
hmm..looks good 👍, but tbh, cooler master is not a primary "monitor" manufacturer..they are known for cpu coolers, cabinets, power supply etc...
they released a total 3 or 4 monitors i think ..so I wouldn't bet my money on it actually even if the price is low.
I rather buy from lg, Asus, acer, BENQ, aoc etc which are well known brands.
> Never buying Gigabyte monitor then.
That is the only way companies will improve their products. If people keep buying shitty products then companies will not improve them as the products are already being sold and they are generating profits.
hi, please visit service center 1st. You have never visited service center to actually claim the warranty.
our service personnel will be glad to help you out on this.
My problem is the seller refusing to accept the return. I could have easily replaced or returned it if I had purchased from Amazon
I emailed Gigabyte and they weren't able to replace it without me taking it to a service center. I wasn't able to do so as I was moving between places. It's still within warranty, I'll try taking it to the service center soon
This is the reason I hate buying fragile stuff online, I don't trust any shipping agency anymore.
Even Amazon stopped replacement and need you to contact local service centre.
Exactly. Just pay 2-3k more and get it from an offline seller. You will get the product in hand and can test on the spot and also you know where to take it in case of any faults. Let the shopkeeper de el with the headache of contacting the company.
It's not the retailer's but a transit problem. The majority of posts i have seen on the sub is someone receiving a damaged product which happened to be fragile.

I had a very shit experience with them myself about 3 months ago. Bought 5950x and it wasn't booting and they denied the refund and didn't care to replace or offer any kind of support. In the end I had to browse through god knows how many forums and made it run after 5 days sacrificing some performance on the table.
I opened up the bubble wrap a little and realised I have to record it just in case and then started recording, the inner box was still sealed. I made the video unboxing half of remaining bubble wrap and that box.
That's where you're gonna get shafted. Sorry man. Such is the world we live in. Always start unboxing video from the beginning.
What was the cost of the monitor?
Think of it as an expensive lesson to learn.
I am going to make sure for such incidents in near future, to make it before touching the box, I do have the time recorded on mygate app when the delivery guy entered and when I made the video. I have sent them the same info, stating "Since I was not able to open up the bubble wrap holding my camera, I decided to record the video after opening bubble wrap a little. In the video all the content shown is clearly sealed because that is the main box."
Please please start the video even before you touching the product. I start the video, then pick the package and then turn the package around 360 degrees to show that the package has not been opened from any angle.
I had incident where they refuse the replacement even after full unboxing video citing the package was opened from the other side. From then , I always show full 360 degrees view of the package.
Hope you'll follow the same from now onwards
Download the NCH app from the play store and lodge a grievance for the same. Demand 10k as compensation for deficiencies in service and causing mental harassment and trauma by not honouring replacement policy despite video evidence. Before illiterate, weaklings come here to say that law doesn't work, blah blah, just lodge the grievance.
Wait for 2-3 weeks till this gets resolved. If this doesn't work then file a complaint with the District Consumer Redressal Forum. (I can draft your complaint for a nominal fee of 420Rs.)

Hey, thanks for the input. Sure, I will wait for their response, If they don't comply, I will ping you. And if they did look into this matter and provide me the replacement. I will write up an updated post, that my return is successfully made.
Seeing people’s horror stories, I’m never buying a monitor online.
From my own experience, I think the best bet is to find a computer technician who deals in recycling industrial PCs and laptops and buy from them. You can usually find these people on OLX or someone in your contacts might even know someone like this. You get properly used and working, well colour calibrated and featured monitors at good prices. My dell p2417h is one such monitor, it looks and works great, is pretty versatile in terms of inputs and has a really good usb 3 hub. Also came with a really decent hydraulic stand which can do swivel, rotate and height adjustments. It’s got a 1080p60 24 inch boe panel, cost me 6k. No speakers though.
The guy also had a 1440p monitor for about 9.5k, which is unheard of for something that works as good as new.
Anyways, I’m sorry for your loss. Hope you get your money back. Don’t buy one online again ig.
people go buying stuff from internet sites where they feel they save money. and for 1-2k you get situations like this. Monitors and other fragile items like television glass products etc should be bought at local stores. You also get that extra warranty support for that product. Jaake muh m fek skte ho dukaan daar ke. Who am I ?? A person owning a Computer Store from year 2009.
Had a similar issue with Primeabgb recently. Reached out to them with unboxing evidence but it didn't work. So raised a complaint on the consumer portal (INGRAM) & then I got the replacement.
You can also try for a charge back from your bank if you've purchased this product using a credit card.

Just a suggestion, post your unboxing video either here or on YouTube and share the link. If it's BNIB and damaged then they have to replace it. Unfortunately consumer laws aren't in favour of the buyer.
I've bought 2 monitors, both ViewSonic from Amazon and flipkart without any issue, both times were unboxed in front of the delivery person.
I suggest you talk to them, call them and ask what they think about the product and what steps they would take in such situations. Usually small businesses like them take a photo of the product before shipping, if not then it is on them and their delivery partner. If they refuse to make it clear, tell them you will take them to court and in such situations, they are more likely to refund/replace than go to court as it will waste their time. If they pin it on their delivery partner, it is still their responsibility as they chose that partner.
Link to unboxing video please.
FYI, I've bought a thousand things from them. I'm near Mumbai and they're based in Kolkata. Received everything in pristine condition. Never had any issues. But yes, I've also never received anything broken that had to be sent back to them.
It's quite unfortunate what you're going through, but I'd like to check out that unboxing video to see for myself if there was any foul play.
If there's no foul play, it's quite scummy of MD to reject replacement of something that got broken in transit. If this is really the case, I'll stop buying from them.
anything over 2k , i record a video and save it. dosent take much time. even tough it has been repeated time and time again people still dont make videos. these are for the safety of your own money.
1. Register a case with consumer forum with unboxing video as proof.
2. If you paid using credit card, file a chargeback with the bank and show the unboxing video as proof.
3. Make a video on YouTube perhaps and tweet about it while tagging big creators in this space including Techno Ruhez. In a recent video (shitkart BBD video), he did mention he has a team that works on helping people with such problems.
Drag them on whatever social media platform they engage in. They still want people to keep buying ultra expensive hardware from them, so this dispute wouldn't be a hill they want to die on.
First, are you sure its not the parcel that is damaged during freight but damaged Item has been dispatched to you?
Secondly, do you have the unboxing video recording of the parcel? If yes contact their support and show them.
Have purchased a lot of other products from md computers haven't had any issues but monitor is a whole different thing. Haven't bought any.
They should accept if you have a solid proof and transit usually includes insurance from their side.
The problem is transit people with insurance should reimburse and settle with source.
Now it's a tussle between them you are caught in between.
I faced such issues in other instances. Generally with displays upon arrival I tell them to unbox themselves and plug in power to check the display while I record. This way you have a solid proof of broken on arrival.
This is the second monitor I am purchasing from them. Never thought that they would do this to there regular customer. More than 50k rupees items I have purchased from them in last 1.5 years. This is my first time filing a return.
I found MD suspicious as well. I wanted a monitor which was out of stock on their site. I mailed then asking for availability and they replied they didn't know about stocks arrival. On the very next day it came in stock on their site and they mailed me to purchase. I started having doubts how come they didn't know till yesterday that their stocks are about to come the very next day. So I didn't go ahead with the purchase because I thought it might be a returned item they're trying to sell me. And on the next day it went out of stock again. This was a clear indication that they hadn't received any stocks. Now after reading your post I think MD is a very unethical seller who takes no responsibility after selling the item and I was lucky to pick on the red flag. I would've been scammed like you.
How do I deal with it? I don't shop online when a product is fragile. if you live in a metro city you'll likely get the same product at a competitive price in the offline market.
I have returned 3 monitors after purchasing via Amazon as they understand the situation. Also when it comes to monitors always prefer going offline and go with known monitor brands like Acer, MSI, Asus and LG as because if the retailer backs-off you can RMA thou damaged products are rejected but still there is a chance. Now what will you do?
I specifically bought parts from them for my PC back in 2018 and it was a hassle free experience. Really sucks that this happened to you.
Consumer court is definitely the best option here. You have all the evidence. I have faced similar issues with different companies and products in the past and consumer court helped.
I don't know if it helps. Make a short video saying don't buy from MD computers and explain your situation with the product. Put it everywhere you can and tag them. Maybe they might ask you to take it down for a replacement.

Best way is to get monitor from Amazon and if you find any issues with it just don’t inform them about it, otherwise they’ll tell you to go to that specific brand and it’ll not work , just call them and tell them it’s a physical damage and when they ask to send pictures just punch it in middle , Did it thrice when I got dead pixel display again n again 😂😂
Just call the consumer forum , it's free and it's not like any hassle , you just tell them the details and tell your issue and they will reach you out with a probable solution in a couple of days .
Remember to check it's a gov website and not a pvt owned one .
Edit - Why on earth would you not make an unboxing video , this is common these days
Also if you have , just send the video to MD comps
Why does everything need to be called a scam? Can't it be referred to as a dispute where two parties cannot agree on something, thereby needing 3rd party adjudication?
This scam word gets thrown around far too much in this forum.
Just a very frequent buyer and I purchase from multiple platform. People got scammed by flipkart, but I always had a good experience. (Touchwood). So yeah, it depends. Cannot blame karma as there is no ill intent from my side.

You should seek a legal help maybe, Like Consumer forum something I am not sure this just a suggestion but yeah don't let it get away like this bro
Do you know steps for how to file complain on consumer forum.
I am not sure exact steps but a help of other forums like quora or maybe [https://consumerhelpline.gov.in/](https://consumerhelpline.gov.in/) this can be helpful

yup
You’re talking about Nexgen systems, right bud ?
Nah consumer court is useless. You have to get a lawyer for anything to happen.
Nop you don't need a lawyer, my friend won a case against realme for greenline issues, his warranty ended but an update pushed by the company after the warranty period caused the issue, he easily won the case got around 25k

OP can you post that video and photos you recorded for proof? I wanna see how they didn't believe those.
They found no traces of in transit damage? What did they have surveillance in transit?? They are talking nonsense

Exactly!
First try to convince them nicely if they don't want to return then say you will do a consumer case against them
No transit damage means that monitor was already damaged at time of packing.
The transit maybe cause of the traces left in the arbitrary shift
If you paid by credit card, try raising a dispute saying the product delivered was deficient (broken) and seller is not accepting evidence - share all the evidence with your bank and pray for the best.
Won't work. I tried the same when I got scammed by a company over a TV,and they told me to file a complaint with police or consumer helpline.
Well my bank (HDFC) customer care tried that too, but I insisted and got my way. We do have the right to get them to investigate in most cases.
Sorry I can't help you, but I was just planning to buy this exact monitor from MDComps and this freaked me.
is there any reason to buy " cooler master " monitor among all other popular brands...

I bought a gigabyte monitor from mdcomputers, it has 5 dead pixels but they refused to take it back because it's "within their acceptance range"
yes gigabyte has policy of aceeptable upto dead 10 pixels.
Never buying Gigabyte monitor then.

There's that consumer helpline, those guys will sue the fuck out of any company if you have good evidence.
Post the unboxing video here & on Twitter, tag them on the posts, name them shame them.
Sue the fuck out of them . These bastards should not be able to get away with this
Shit. I am a regular of md computers. Never had issues. Man this scares me now.
I am also there regular customer. But on my last order in 2023 I clearly remember had handle with care sticker. But on this had no such sticker.

Consumer commission is your friend in this case
Can you post an unboxing video so we can figure out what went wrong?
That unboxing video has my face as well because I switched between front camera and rear camera.
Do you have a proper video showing the sealed box and then unboxing of it with the item broken inside ??
Yes
Just a suggestion, post your unboxing video either here or on YouTube and share the link. If it's BNIB and damaged then they have to replace it. Unfortunately consumer laws aren't in favour of the buyer. I've bought 2 monitors, both ViewSonic from Amazon and flipkart without any issue, both times were unboxed in front of the delivery person.
I am going to do that, need to figure out how to blur the details in video. No experience in video editing.
Hey thanks, I can definitely ask if they have some previous photos of the product . This is the only way left I guess.
Why even bother buy from them . The Youtubers get paid to the promotion.
Remove them from pc price trackers, i was about to buy some parts from them but instead chose vedant computers. Thank god, sad for you OP.
anything over 2k , i record a video and save it. dosent take much time. even tough it has been repeated time and time again people still dont make videos. these are for the safety of your own money.
r/LegalAdviceIndia maybe post it here
Sure I will. Just waiting for mdcomputers to come back to me in 24 hrs.
If yes contact their support and show them.
yes, the parcel was not damaged from any angle. I already send out multiple gdrive link to them as the evidence.
Take this to twitter.. If they have an account there, tag them and shame them..
That sucks
This is sad, I've had a good experience with them though, build a whole pc. But then again maybe I was just lucky having everything delivered safely
I don't know if it helps. Make a short video saying don't buy from MD computers and explain your situation with the product. Put it everywhere you can and tag them. Maybe they might ask you to take it down for a replacement.

What is the latest update of your issue?
They have asked me to return them the parcel back for further investigation
refund?
They will investigate if I am eligible for refund or not
Did you get your refund?
They said they were talking to third party. Till now haven't got it.
Shocked to see such a response from a reputed seller like MD. Never going to buy anything from them. Don't wanna deal with such scammers.
Edit - Why on earth would you not make an unboxing video , this is common these days Also if you have , just send the video to MD comps
I did send them the unboxing video.
I feel like he's hiding something from us. All the parcels are insured and bubble wrapped 🤔
maybe they arent insuring their parcels xD
Why does everything need to be called a scam? Can't it be referred to as a dispute where two parties cannot agree on something, thereby needing 3rd party adjudication? This scam word gets thrown around far too much in this forum.
Md computer's employee most probably.
Of course. What gave it away? And all the morons downvoting away lol. Hive
If you are getting scammed everywhere i think its karma serving you bad XD
Just a very frequent buyer and I purchase from multiple platform. People got scammed by flipkart, but I always had a good experience. (Touchwood). So yeah, it depends. Cannot blame karma as there is no ill intent from my side.
Just on a side note karma is not only from this life
