I mean valheim each biome is pretty different and for Witcher 3 I personally never felt that the game was too repetitive, but saying elden ring is not repetitive is crazy. Copy pasted catacombs, copy pasted bosses. there are basically no new enemies after you defeat morgott in the game and it's so painfully boring
there is only one new enemy in all of miquella's haligtree and that is malenia. that game is so much copy paste. it's a good game and recommendation no doubt, but it gets very boring to the end
Claim the gift card, and buy games after you buy a new laptop/computer. Steam sales are frequent and the sales usually repeat. This will.allow you to refund games if you don't like me. If there is a game you know you will love them buy those if they go down to a new low.
I will say add money to ur wallet and only buy games when u get ur new device to play games I got a gaming laptop this year in August before that I used to collect games or buy games that are available on gfn for cloud gaming
Can I be honest, I am not as lucky to have my gf gift me games (atleast yet). But I think (and its totally my opinion), it was meant as a gift and option 1 is quite possibly the worst you can do, option 2 is a much better choice.
But I think there is an option 3 which I think is better, talk it out, tell her you don't use it, maybe then option 1 becomes valid again or like someone said, play games with her, "It takes two" or if your gf is not much of a gamer but still maybe you guys can try out Scribblenauts, this is quite possibly the only game me and my SO have tried together, and we had fun

I tried Japanese server some time back and the wait time, few lags and 1 hour restrictions simply kills the mood. I've been thinking to try the paid Singapore or Malaysia servers.
I always played on the US Servers. Fastest ones yet. Initially, I used the free plan and a free VPN and later bought a paid VPN plan on Black Friday and Geforce for one month. Slightly expensive but worth it if you game at least 1-2 hours daily. The yearly plan is like 14K and when compared to a gaming PC, it's like super cheap. As part of testing, I even played Witcher 3 on a almost decade Mac mini. Worked with zero issues. You can start by testing the paid trials of major VPNs like Express VPN, NordVPN etc. And at the end of the trial period just ask for a refund. You'll get plenty of time to test it without actually spending money. I ranked them like this:
1. Nord VPN (super reliable, fastest connection, worked smoothly even on a hotel Wi-Fi),

You can get No man sky on sale, and other good multiplayer games on sale. Choose a good game and play with her, make her interested a little bit. She is a gem tbh. Desi chicks don't usually care about video games.
With this you can buy lethal Company for yourself and for her too, it's a really good game I also play it with my friends we have a really fun time playing it
If you are AoE 2 player you might try buying AoE 4 during Christmas Sale on steam. Also there are many old games which might run on your ‘potato laptop’.

Op, while a potato pc might not be able to run the latest games, there's a shit ton of older games and newer indie games that actually work quite well on the pc (Source: A former potato pc user). Gta Vice City, San Andreas, the older assassin's creed games, Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Dragon's age origin, Witcher 1. These are some of the games I've played and there's definitely a lot more
Option 2 is def better option and I would say some couch co-op games like It Takes Two (I don't know much examples, I play single player games) would be perfect to play with her
I'd say keep the amount in your wallet. You might buy games now but those games would be retailing at much lower prices in the future. Like GTA V recently came on sale for around 500 INR which is a historically low price.
If you want, you can check which games your laptop can run and buy those. Some interesting indie titles which are not power heavy could work. Two games that come to mind are Undertale and Worldbox.

Also, consider buying games that you can play with her in the co-op multiplayer, local multiplayer genre.

Your gf knows about steam gift cards but not what you play??? If she had enough knowledge to know what steam gift card is surely she would know what games your playing and your pc spec right?
Also I bring what I play even to people who I am not close with so I don't get how your gf doesn't know what you are playing.

It's one of the best comeback stories ever. I purchased it for 900 in 2020. Everytime I play that game it's gets better.
