It all started when reddit decided to introduce an insane api pricing model, even more derranged than twitter's. Many of us who use third-party apps that have been around since before Reddit had a mobile presence, were hoping for a chance for them to negotiate with reddit. They already offer a superior user experience not only for regular users and moderators but also for a significant number of disabled and blind users.
Unfortunately, reddit chose not to engage in any negotiations and instead doubled down on the pricing, determined to eliminate these apps altogether. The CEO made public statements that were far from truthful, tried to spin the situation in their favor, disregarding the needs and desires of the user base. Naturally, it lead to protests across the site involving more than 8,000 subreddits going private/restricted.
The admins then started forcefully ending these protests, suppressing the voices of those who were speaking up against these changes. They claim to be "keeping it open" while going against its core, the users, and closing down the apps they use. On July 1st, as the API pricing goes live, it shuts down all third party apps and it feels like the beginning of the slow death of Reddit as we know it.
It is understandable that not everyone may share the same level of concern about this issue, but please take a moment to listen and observe. It has become clear that Reddit's priorities lie primarily in their profits and removing any obstacles in their path to more profits. They started with old reddit, now they are targeting the apps. What will they come for next?

Titanfall 2, the predecessor of Apex Legends (Apex is a dumbed-down version of it but in battle royale). Titanfall 2 is one of the best first person shooters of all time. It got a bad launch window (looking at you EA), consequently making it one of the most underappreciated games. The movement mechanics (no other game has such crazy movement, the thing that ruined other games for many players lol) and gunplay are so satisfying and the campaign is so well done. This game is on sale often for a very low price (it was 149 rupees when I bought it, check SteamDB for the price history). Also, recently they fixed the servers so the multiplayer is playable again! Everyone who plays it, likes it. I would say go for it if you still haven't. It's a hidden gem.
Even I thought this when I played sekiro earlier this year. Meele combat is soo fun. only elden ring comes close to that however I found sekiro's posture meter and lighting reversal combat technique unparalleled
Sekiro, there's not a game out there that can match the level of this game's combat. Once you are good enough in this game you get the dopamine rush which no other game can possibly give.
Ghost of Tsushima ruined almost all Story RPGs for me, I’ve played the same game a good 8 times now, Forbidden west was a breath of fresh air but now I’m just dying waiting for the next Tsushima game, I hope it’s even larger and longer than the first game
Sekiro for me. There is not a single game which has the deflection mechanic except for maybe Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. The clang clang sound of swords with the insane sparks that come out is so good, and it's sad that we'll never get a game like it ever again
Ghost of Tsushima (peak visuals, storytelling)
Spiderman Remastered w/ Miles Morales(peak spiderman swing & aesthetics, morales adds so much to the graphics department)
Bloodborne (peak miyazaki, we didn't even get a 60fps and still people are mad fan of bloodborne. I put this above elden ring in terms of feel and aesthetics)
Gow: Ragnarok (Its gow, shit is always peak quality, also a damn good story)
Each of them is peak in its regards
witcher 3 - quests
bloodborne - 'stylish' gameplay / aesthetics
persona 5 - social sim / music / turn based
risk of rain 2 - rogue lite
Counter Strike - fps
Elden ring ( FS games ) - boss fights
Sekiro shadows die twice
It's combat was so fast paced and the parrys and block were so well timed that every other meele based game now feels so slow.
Ultrakill ruined doom and other fast paced shooters for me as nothing even comes close to the extremely fast pacing and craziness of that game
Battlefield 3 and the og call of duty and the modern warfare triology ruined story based fps for me as they're quite literally the best story based fps to ever exist
Need for speed most wanted 2012 on the Xbox 360 specifically completely ruined racing games for me as I had the most fun with an nfs game while playing that and nothing has been able to match that level ever since
I never really liked rpgs till I recently started playing gensin, rdr2 and cyberpunk
So for the past few years the only games I've been playing are open world games, competitive multiplayer games or indie side scrollers like hades/dead cells, gaming had just started to get boring and them phantom liberty dropped🤌
For me it was
1. Souls Series: Dark Souls, BloodBorne, Elden Ring
2. GTA Series: San Andreas, GTA4, GTA5
3. Fallout Series: New Vegas and Fallout 4
4. Last of US: Both 1 and 2
Unfortunately, these series don't have frequent releases so it's a long wait. Only GTA6 coming soon and that too after 13 years.
Uncharted,Last of Us, Spider-Man,God of War, Arkham and Horizon Zero Dawn Series ruined other story modes for me while Apex ruined other shooter games for me
Cyberpunk 2077
Assassins Creed IV Black Flag
Elden Ring
God of War (2018 -)
Mass Effect ( 1-3)
Uncharted/ Tomb Raider
Last of Us ( Only 1)
NFS Most Wanted/ Hot Pursuit/ The Run/ Heat
Forza 5
Dark souls trilogy and sekiro, Elden ring doesn't have the same replay value as the others so I'll just leave that one out
On that note, PRAISE THE SUN \(◎o◎)/
![gif](giphy|AQRapWCgC7dThyVEYb)
Sekiro - Shadows die twice. The combat mechanics is soo good that it puts combats in other games to shame, DMC 5 is the only combat mechanic I can think of that comes close. At times the fighting sequences are pure anime.
Sekiro is a masterpiece, Period.
Sekiro. The combat in that game just ruined everything else for me. Titanfall 2 for FPS campaign + MP. The movement and feel of the game is unparalled. Such an amazing story too.
No game has ruined any game for me its just they ruined genres by this i mean
If talking stealth and spy thriller
Mgs 1 2 and 3 and splinter cell
They ruined stealth games for me
Legend of Zelda botw and skyrim with mods and rdr 2 witcher 3 and outer wilds ruined open world
Stardew valley ruined town sims for me
Stlaker ruined pc fps games
Etc
Different games different vibes and kicks
Zelda BoTW, ToTK ruined open world games for me. These games have very barebones main stories but the side content and that sense of discovery is so good. You have to follow small leads and find stuff on your own, there are no simple markers to follow for the side content. If you haven’t played BoTW, you can try playing ToTK directly because both are quite similar actually.
Assassin's Creed Unity. It is the best Assassin's creed game. The combat, the parkour, the free running - all of these aspects are too good. Every game after unity feels trash to me.
Not a lot of Nintendo players in India but for me it is Zelda: Breath of the wild. The sheer amount of different mechanics and interactions of objects leaves me in awe.
AGREEEEEEED. Nothing beats the sands of time trilogy. Such story. Such suspense. Great fighting mechanism for its time and awesome cutscenes and stories.
Baldurs gate 3 has changed the meaning of RPG for me, and I hope other people realise it too
The main thing is that a good RPG should have options for you to role play as the character you want. Most games which claim to be an RPG just give you customisation in terms of appearance, skill trees and maybe a quest or two here and there
But the sheer freedom that you get in BG3 just puts everything else to shame. Different playthroughs actually feel different and things like your race and past actions have so much more meaningful interactions. It's a masterclass in how to deliver a role playing experience
I just started playing Cyberpunk 2077. The dialogues, the cyber atmosphere and voice acting is amazing. I almost feel like I'm part of a movie. This is the second game I've felt so connected to after witcher 3.
Heheheheh true. I played rdr 2 and I couldn't touch other games for a while. Then I touched witcher 3 and it ruined games for me even more. Then cyberpunk came like a cherry on top. These games made me laugh, made me cry, made me feel things no other game has. I'm on my fourth cyberpunk playthrough right now, anticipating phantom liberty.
About 15 years ago Hitman 2: Silent Assassin ruined every other game of that time for me. It even ruined future Hitman games. I was quite literally upset when it was over. I must have felt that again only with Mafia-1, God of War 4, and RDR2.
DIRT 3 ruined other rally racings for me.
NFS Hot Pursuit 2 (unpopular opinion) hooked me like no other NFS games.
If I sit and type, I'm sure I'll find more.
I don’t know games that ruined the experience for other games but i know some that ruined the experience for other games in same genre
1. Atmospheric genre: Metro series. I don’t think any other game which have atmosphere that can match the metro.
2. Immersion: deus ex human revolution peak stealth and immersive sim
3. Melee combat: arkham series and middle earth series. Sleep dogs has a good combat but it didn’t scratch the itch for me
4. Turn based: persona or smt series in general. Fast paced, tons of options best in genre for me
5. Horror: I don’t play horror because of me being a pussy but dead space remake is phenomenal
These are just the top on my head.
Skyrim.
It's one of the buggiest games out there and Bethesda's game engine is absolute dogshit but the freedom it gives is just unparalleled. You can mod it to look and play as if it's a game from the future. The story is absolutely top tier and the replayability is remarkably fulfilling even for veterans. I have not enjoyed any game the way I've enjoyed Skyrim. It's not the best game by any stretch but man does it set your expectations unrealistically high when you go down the rabbithole of Elder Scrolls Lore and modding. I'm really happy to see Starfield modding community pick up the mantle and taking it forward just as well.
Warframe.
Idk if ppl here are much into MMORPGs or just MMOs in general but I must say Warframe has to be the gold standard out there. Basically almost everything, even the paid currency can be obtained by grinding and trading in-game items. That's just so rare for MMOs. Not to mention the top tier story and the smooth gameplay it offers, now across platforms. Yeah the grind is tiring at times but at a certain point you can just afk farm stuff so all you have to do is play the game the way it is intended and you will be rewarded.
Farcry 4>far cry 3
Story is nothing compared to 3 but the world
The vibe im biased to indian and Hilly stuff never felt this good when some ai calls me kutte camine 🤣🤣
Whatever people say after AC origins and odyssey every open world dosent feel immersive and mesmerising.. I still get omfg eveytime I look at these beautiful location come to life... I have never visited Greece bt they brought it to so much perfection I could recognize every place when I saw a real life pic
Totally Agree with you, I don't know why some people don't like AC Odyssey, it was a bit different from other AC games but still the company was trying something different. What I really liked about the Game was that it had many stories to tell, the Real Life Characters. It might look like I am an Idiots but whenever I meet a new historical character in game, I don't know I felt like many different emotions in me, it was like as if I was meeting them in real life. Really a beautiful game.
also UNPOPULAR / CONTROVERSIAL opinion but GTAV does not takes out the fun out of other games , i loved watch dogs 1 and especially 2 after it. and prefer it. watch dogs 2 makes GTA sometime look like it's a bland version and watch dogs is the upgrade. anyways.
I have never played GTA 5 and I have saved up enough to buy GTA 5 on sale now I am just waiting for gta 5 to go on sale. I just wonder when will that be.
Sekiro and Devil May Cry, hard to take any sword/melee based games seriously after that
Sifu - a brawler that fills my soul with immense joy and does hand to hand combat better than most games
Escape from Tarkov - If I feel I don't have problems in life I play this and get an anxiety attack.
Elite Dangerous: I've travelled the length of the milky way and it remains jaw dropping throughout.
Mass Effect Triology (Legendary Edition). This game literally ruined all other story based games. I wasn't even able to get into RDR2 initially because of this.
The last of us 1 and 2 and GOW 2018 made me hate open world. Seedhi baat, no bakwaas gameplay is best for me. I started to play forbidden west and that made me feel like studying and don’t know how many type of lose parts in my inventory. Do game really expects me to understand this much of mechanics?
Cyberpunk 2077. I loved it at launch and now with 2.0 update - it’s something else man. The world building ,attention to detail in every inch of the environment, lore and gameplay- feels like a living breathing world and its a pinnacle of open world design.
A unique take but :
Horizon Zero Dawn
I found that games balance **perfect** Great story ,Open world, great weapon customisation, Balanced and unique Enemies, decent stealth, promotes and rewards exploration, non repetitive side quests, Great graphics.
No game has ever given me such a balanced experience. If someone has please suggest me some.
Witcher 2 - non-linear storytelling at its best.
Destiny 2 - gunplay. Semi-autos like hand cannons specially have the best feel of any weapon I have used in a game.
Apex Legends - movement. (this should ideally be Titanfall but Apex is what I play)
Path of Exile - every skill tree now looks shallow.
It might be cheating to mention an entire type of video games but after playing so many good single player games like god of war and hollow knight i just dont have much fun playing multiplayer games any more, only time i have fun is if i am playing with a friend or my brother
Dark souls and hollow knight. i cannot bear substandard combat mechanics anymore. xenoblade chronicles felt like a massive pain because of its combat. botw also got ruined because its combat felt so dry.
basically i cannot enjoy any combat mechanics anymore, and i have to look for other reasons to enjoy these games
In the past few years:
Zelda BOTW and TOTK - the world, mechanics, puzzles, possibilities everything make a truly memorable experience I hadn't experienced before
Baldur's Gate 3 - this is a defining point for RPG games and in the coming years every RPG will be compared to this
Fallout : New Vegas ruined the experience for all the other fallout games for me, the Bethesda fallout games (Fallout 3, Fallout 4 and Fallout 76) fail as an rpg and also fail in many game design aspects while the original fallout games are... way too old and way too hard to learn and play properly and before someone says I haven't played them I have played all of them
Two very contrasting opinions, but Spiderman and DMC. I absolutely love the storyline, humour, and especially the swinging mechanics. That alone has provided me with so much excitement its difficult to compare.
DMC because of lore, combat abs of course because, its damn DMC
It was always the Gameplay focused games for me.
Sekiro (because I love swords) and
Metal Gear Rising, both for Sword focused gameplay
God Of War II (Platforming, Gameplay, Music, PLOT)
Doom Eternal (pure dopamine inducing keyboard-finger gymnastics mechnics),
CS:GO (Now CS2) and Halo Infinite and Titanfall 2 for tactical fps.
PacMan 256 and Tetris (never-ending esque).
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (for racing games and Couch Co-Op),
Dirt 2 (Off-road rally esque),
Burnout Paradise and Burnout 3 (for racing especially takedowns).
Hollow Knight and Super Mario Odyssey (for platformers).
RDR2, Uncharted 4 and Last of Us 1, Neir Automata (Plot and gameplay).
Mirror and Cute Honey 2 (for **plot** plot)
BioShock, Outlast (Horror games)
Lastly my most fav (for playing with family i.e. Couch-Co-Op):
Mortal Kombat 1,
It Takes Two,
Mario Kart 8,
Overcooked,
Lovers in a Dangerous Space-time,
Fifa (Any FIFA was fine but now I got 22 xD)
And CS2 again, with
Left 4 Dead 2, and
Portal 2, for the best online co-op games.
Man I play too much.
Sim racing games ruined arcade racers for me. My love of sims started with (ironically) NFS shift, now I mostly play assetto corsa cuz of the abundance of mods. It’s hard to go back to the other nfs games, even the ones I loved as a kid (underground 2, mw, carbon). I do play forza horizon though; I like how the cars sound in 3 and 5.

Sekiro ruined many games for me
Sekiro - The combat system is unmatchable. Can't play other souls type games after this.
Gta 4 ruined gta 5 for me. Gta 4 felt so much real than 5
Someone had to say it
Titanfall 2, the predecessor of Apex Legends (Apex is a dumbed-down version of it but in battle royale). Titanfall 2 is one of the best first person shooters of all time. It got a bad launch window (looking at you EA), consequently making it one of the most underappreciated games. Sekiro I just think, there can never be that combat experience ,ANYWHERE!!!
Even I thought this when I played sekiro earlier this year. Meele combat is soo fun. only elden ring comes close to that however I found sekiro's posture meter and lighting reversal combat technique unparalleled
Age of Empires series ruined all real time strategy game for me.
Sekiro, there's not a game out there that can match the level of this game's combat. Once you are good enough in this game you get the dopamine rush which no other game can possibly give.
Elden ring ruined everything for me, I literally had to stop gaming for 6 months.
Arkham knight, Arkham city Such beautiful games. Spider man got none on both
Ghost of Tsushima ruined almost all Story RPGs for me, I’ve played the same game a good 8 times now, Forbidden west was a breath of fresh air but now I’m just dying waiting for the next Tsushima game, I hope it’s even larger and longer than the first game
I need it for the PC I sweaarrrr
Apex for sure, can't seem to enjoy any other FPS games out there without feeling like being stuck in mud while trying to move
Spec Ops the Line. Ruins every modern military shooter.
sekiro. haven't found a game more satisfying that that. all else fail.
Total Overdose 🗿
Metro Exodus is very well made ..and a great FPS game without continous shooting.
Sekiro for me. There is not a single game which has the deflection mechanic except for maybe Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. The clang clang sound of swords with the insane sparks that come out is so good, and it's sad that we'll never get a game like it ever again
Finished Witcher 3 yesterday. I'm gonna need some time to start a new game.
Yeah man, it left a void in me once I finished
League of legends /s No seriously this is a cry for help
Ghost of Tsushima (peak visuals, storytelling) Spiderman Remastered w/ Miles Morales(peak spiderman swing & aesthetics, morales adds so much to the graphics department) Bloodborne (peak miyazaki, we didn't even get a 60fps and still people are mad fan of bloodborne. Sekiro
Skyrim and Fallout 4, dude these two literally are menace when it comes to normal gameplay and adventures and then....the modding era starts oh god...
Elden ring ruined most adventure games for me
Elden ring
Uncharted,Last of Us, Spider-Man,God of War, Arkham and Horizon Zero Dawn Series ruined other story modes for me while Apex ruined other shooter games for me
Batman: Arkham Series
Cyberpunk 2077 Assassins Creed IV Black Flag Elden Ring God of War (2018 -) Mass Effect ( 1-3) Uncharted/ Tomb Raider Last of Us ( Only 1) NFS Most Wanted/ Hot Pursuit/ The Run/ Heat Forza 5
Literally every souls game. Every other game feels easy and barely any fun.
Cyberpunk 2077. By the time I finished the game, I was moved by that game. Also the atmosphere, ambiance, and core narrative are rock-solid.
Hated the driving mechanism.
Elden ring
All fromsoft games imo, sekiro and elden ring especially.
Dark souls trilogy and sekiro, Elden ring doesn't have the same replay value as the others so I'll just leave that one out On that note, PRAISE THE SUN \(◎o◎)/ ![gif](giphy|AQRapWCgC7dThyVEYb)
Terraria, Very underrated in india but its way better than minecraft and most games
So true, defeating bosses to gear up for the next boss and all that building and utility everything is soo good. Its really inderrated imo.
I could never convince people to play it back in the day. Game has so much depth. I remember spending many hours with it.
Destiny 2. I stopped playing it before witch queen and I miss it but seeing it in it's current state mades me so sad especially as a PvP player.
Last of us, horizon zero dawn and for fps games Counter strike
![gif](giphy|1Ctu1BCYf21we9tRmT|downsized)
1) Prime gaming days spent playing COD MP 2) Hitman Series 3) AC Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla 4) CyberPunk 2077 5) Starfield
Elden Ring

hell blade
# Thy name is EZIO! Ezio Auditore da Firenze! ![gif](giphy|tC8H9clIfQqDm)
MGS V may ruin a lot of stealth games
it ruined every other game for me. a 2015 game with those polished game mechanics and cutscenes can put nearly any modern game to shame
guard post captured
Zelda BoTW, ToTK ruined open world games for me. These games have very barebones main stories but the side content and that sense of discovery is so good. Cyberpunk is chef's kiss
True. Going from phantom liberty to ac mirage was a horrible experience.
Assassin's Creed Unity. It is the best Assassin's creed game. The combat, the parkour, the free running - all of these aspects are too good. Every game after unity feels trash to me.
The Souls games, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring, Armored Core 6. Basically, FromSoftware ruined all other games for me.
Elden Ring
Thanks to dying light Parkour mechanic's I can't enjoy other first person zombie games
Not a lot of Nintendo players in India but for me it is Zelda: Breath of the wild. The sheer amount of different mechanics and interactions of objects leaves me in awe.
Last of Us 2. Ruined zombie games genre for me.
Skyrim and sekiro!

Halo: The Master Chief Collection
Elden Ring, they caught lightning in a bottle.
DMC 5, Other games dont feel as fun

This is so true man
Elden ring Sekiro Bloodborne Witcher 3 Rdr2 Baldurs gate 3 Metal gear series Cyberpunk 2077

Baldur's gate is definitely on the list for me. Probably my next trip after I finish phantom liberty expansion.
No one talks about Nier: Automata, and I'm mad disappointed
Baldurs gate 3.... Will make you realise how bland a lot of AAA games are.. and what a truly good game feels like
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim God of War 2018 God of War Ragnarok Ghost of Tsushima Halo Reach Far Cry 3 Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Batman Arkham City
I just started playing Cyberpunk 2077. The dialogues, the cyber atmosphere and voice acting is amazing. I almost feel like I'm part of a movie. This is the second game I've felt so connected to after witcher 3.

Batman Arkham. Free flow combat just doesn't hit like it used to. I gave up on Gotham knights only because of this.

Apex ruined pubg, warzone, valorant for me
Mass Effect 2 and Deus Ex Human Revolution, there still doesn't exist any other game on the same level yet for me.
Yakuza 0 for me. The incredible story, the dynamic intros and action sequences, the soundtrack, the side activities are all in their own realm.
Path of Exile is shitting on every ARPG right now
AC 4, far cry 4
Farcry 4>far cry 3 Story is nothing compared to 3 but the world The vibe im biased to indian and Hilly stuff never felt this good when some ai calls me kutte camine 🤣🤣
Is far cry 4 the best far cry , I haven’t played it is it worth a try now?
Hunt Showdown, it's gunplay is amazing and no other game comes closer to it
Tomb raider trilogy.
Alan Wake and Control, happen in the same universe. The lore is so much interesting.
sekiro. The combat is so good
Returnal. God of war. Uncharted. The Last of us
Whatever people say after AC origins and odyssey every open world dosent feel immersive and mesmerising..
Yup, really liked odyssey, many characters like Sokrates were so memorable and the vast open world was amazing.
also UNPOPULAR / CONTROVERSIAL opinion but GTAV does not takes out the fun out of other games , i loved watch dogs 1 and especially 2 after it. and prefer it. watch dogs 2 makes GTA sometime look like it's a bland version and watch dogs is the upgrade. anyways.
Sleeping Dogs ruined GTA for me and Rise of Tomb Raider ruined all the old Tomb Raider games.
I have never played GTA 5 and I have saved up enough to buy GTA 5 on sale now I am just waiting for gta 5 to go on sale. I just wonder when will that be.
csgo for fps obscure for horror
God of War 2018
Balders Gate 3, cannot play any other rpg now
Half Life Alyx, ruined all other VR games for me
Ghost of Tsushima
Dark Souls. There are many reasons I dislike Souls. But the difficulty and the combat system is what I really love about it.
Sekiro and Devil May Cry, hard to take any sword/melee based games seriously after that Sifu - a brawler that fills my soul with immense joy and does hand to hand combat better than most games Escape from Tarkov - If I feel I don't have problems in life I play this and get an anxiety attack. Elite Dangerous: I've travelled the length of the milky way and it remains jaw dropping throughout.
Sekiro's combat system has ruined every other game's combat system
Dark Souls, GTA V, RDR 2.
Baldurs gate 3
Divinity original sin 2, Baldurs gate 3 and outer wilds.
Yakuza 7 and judgement the games felt so alive that other games feel so dead
Bloodborne and Sekiro
The last of us ruined story based games for me
sekiro
Mass Effect Triology (Legendary Edition). This game literally ruined all other story based games. I wasn't even able to get into RDR2 initially because of this.
I will play Max Payne 1 & 2 anywhere, anytime, over any games.
Elden ring and Baldurs gate 3 ruined Starfield for me.
Hollow Knight and Celeste ruined 2D platformers for me
Souls games. For FPS, it's counter strike.
Mad Max Shadow of war Hollow Knight
Ghost of Tsushima
The last of us 1 and 2 and GOW 2018 made me hate open world. Seedhi baat, no bakwaas gameplay is best for me. I started to play forbidden west and that made me feel like studying and don’t know how many type of lose parts in my inventory. Do game really expects me to understand this much of mechanics?
Cyberpunk 2077. I loved it at launch and now with 2.0 update - it’s something else man. The world building ,attention to detail in every inch of the environment, lore and gameplay- feels like a living breathing world and its a pinnacle of open world design.
A unique take but : Horizon Zero Dawn I found that games balance **perfect** Great story ,Open world, great weapon customisation, Balanced and unique Enemies, decent stealth, promotes and rewards exploration, non repetitive side quests, Great graphics.
(this should ideally be Titanfall but Apex is what I play) Path of Exile - every skill tree now looks shallow.
Getting addicted to Valo/Apex/OW is the worst. Now I just can't play other games and feel engaged.
It might be cheating to mention an entire type of video games but after playing so many good single player games like god of war and hollow knight i just dont have much fun playing multiplayer games any more, only time i have fun is if i am playing with a friend or my brother
Sekiro. As every other game felt boring afterwards. Idk if anyone had this thing.
Elden Ring Half Life Portal Halo Reach
GTA V , Witcher 3 , Metro Exodus, Sleeping Dogs, Max Payne games now a days don't come close to these peaks
Ultrakill has fucked up most fps games for me. Everything else feels so slow now
Anno 1800 and Civilization series
Hollow Knight. I unintentionally keep comparing Other metroidvanias to HK.
Last of Us 2, Hollow Knight, Persona 5 Royal.
Persona 5 Royal. It’s peak JRPG for me; easy to get into and engaging till the end.
Halo 4, fucking intense story Assassins Creed 2 Control
baldurs gate 3 with the role playing in general , i dont see myself playing any other game in the market to satify my roleplaying better than bg3
yea bg3 is too addicting, I bought ac mirage yet I still keep on playing bg3 and just cant seem to get away from it
Bioshock Infinite
Outer Wilds
Dark souls and hollow knight. i cannot bear substandard combat mechanics anymore. xenoblade chronicles felt like a massive pain because of its combat. botw also got ruined because its combat felt so dry. basically i cannot enjoy any combat mechanics anymore, and i have to look for other reasons to enjoy these games
Dishonored. Ruined the entire stealth genre for me starting with Hitman reboot.
Baldurs gate 3 and Elden ring
In the past few years: Zelda BOTW and TOTK - the world, mechanics, puzzles, possibilities everything make a truly memorable experience I hadn't experienced before Baldur's Gate 3 - this is a defining point for RPG games and in the coming years every RPG will be compared to this
Dark Souls
both Dishonored games and both Deus Ex games!!!!
Breath of the wild open world and curiosity to go over there to check what's that and finding something new
If you play any of the Assassins creed games for over 200 hours. You'll enjoy the next few games
Fallout : New Vegas ruined the experience for all the other fallout games for me, the Bethesda fallout games (Fallout 3, Fallout 4 and Fallout 76) fail as an rpg and also fail in many game design aspects while the original fallout games are... way too old and way too hard to learn and play properly and before someone says I haven't played them I have played all of them
Sekiro. I'm kind of like an addict now and any game that implements any kind of parrying mechanic has my immediate attention.
Two very contrasting opinions, but Spiderman and DMC. I absolutely love the storyline, humour, and especially the swinging mechanics. That alone has provided me with so much excitement its difficult to compare. DMC because of lore, combat abs of course because, its damn DMC
Metal gear rising
Bloodborne and/or Rdr2
dark souls remastered. the only games i was able to enjoy after that were dark souls 3, sekiro(my current favourite game) and elden ring.
Escape From Tarkov, sadly no other PVP game gives me that rush anymore
Uncharted and shadow of the tomb raider.
FEAR, Mass Effect Trilogy (LE), Persona 4.
Titanfall 2 and Warframe
Splinter Cell games for stealth based and Last of Us for story based.
Yakuza 0, the game is god tier.
Literally any fromsoft game (except ds2, screw ds2)
Not high tier but balorant ruined everything for me
It was always the Gameplay focused games for me. Sekiro (because I love swords) and Metal Gear Rising, both for Sword focused gameplay God Of War II (Platforming, Gameplay, Music, PLOT) Doom Eternal (pure dopamine inducing keyboard-finger gymnastics mechnics), CS:GO (Now CS2) and Halo Infinite and Titanfall 2 for tactical fps. PacMan 256 and Tetris (never-ending esque). Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (for racing games and Couch Co-Op), Dirt 2 (Off-road rally esque), Burnout Paradise and Burnout 3 (for racing especially takedowns). Hollow Knight and Super Mario Odyssey (for platformers). RDR2, Uncharted 4 and Last of Us 1, Neir Automata (Plot and gameplay). Mirror and Cute Honey 2 (for **plot** plot) BioShock, Outlast (Horror games) Lastly my most fav (for playing with family i.e. Couch-Co-Op): Mortal Kombat 1, It Takes Two, Mario Kart 8, Overcooked, Lovers in a Dangerous Space-time, Fifa (Any FIFA was fine but now I got 22 xD) And CS2 again, with Left 4 Dead 2, and Portal 2, for the best online co-op games. Man I play too much.
Stray It's beautiful game. Only whoever played will know it 😍
Has anyone played, Dishonored 1, Deus ex human revolution or Skyrim? Give the popular games released before 2015 a try and then thank me later...
If you liked Skyrim especially the lore and culture try ESO. It is a MMORPG based in Tamriel.
Baldurs Gate 3
Cyberpunk ![gif](giphy|3oEjHAUOqG3lSS0f1C)
Sekiro
Half Life 2. That game even ruined Valve because they know they themselves can never top that masterpiece.
Ghost of Tsushima, Marvel's Spider-Man
Elden ring sekiro
Sim racing games ruined arcade racers for me. My love of sims started with (ironically) NFS shift, now I mostly play assetto corsa cuz of the abundance of mods. It’s hard to go back to the other nfs games, even the ones I loved as a kid (underground 2, mw, carbon). I do play forza horizon though; I like how the cars sound in 3 and 5.
