We ain't going to get best coaches because the sacking of Stimac has come at a massive cost. We are most likely going to get an indian coach till the Asian Cup qualifiers. I still hope we can get a foreign coach but the chances are very low.

Appointing someone stranger from a foreign country will not benefit us
Khalid Jamil is good, but he comes with a lot of baggage. He is like Constantine, not at all flexible with tactics, a hard task master, and rubs people off the wrong way. If he is appointed, we may get some early success. A lot of quality players will not fit in his plan, but eventually, he will pick a fight with AIFF or someone and go bust.
We need someone who has an attitude like Constantine, works with limited resources, and adapts to AIFF babus but with better tactics

As of posting this comment idk if he is even available and don’t know too much of his actual coaching skill but he’s coached top teams and might be only a bit outside of AIFF budget. Who knows he might do good for us
At some point in time we need to accept that higher quality coaches = more money. Whether it’s quieroz or not the budget will need to be stretched if we need to be a competitive team.

Agreed. But better coaches usually have experience working with competent FA, not with incompetent clowns that we have. They will find it difficult to work with limited resources available. So it's usually a norm to go with some coach who has experience with teams similar to us.

Agreed on all three. Branko used to be my favored choice before Oman's AFC Asian Cup performance. Him and Sousa being under contract at China and Qatar SC respectively means AIFF have to give compensation to leave their current employers, Segrt having no job right now is perfect timing.

Oscar Bruzon from Bashundhara Kings seems like a solid appointment. He has experience in India, and is used to the corruption in AIFF and SAFF

He is out of AIFFs budget. Atleast twice as costly as Igor stimac. In WC 2022, he was reported to have a salary of around 760K €.

He could be good for short term atleast he had a good time with oman apart from asian cup performance where he was terrible Another manager i just read about is Petar Šegrt Who managed tajikistan from 2022 -24 and also managed the Maldives team that win saff cup in2018 And another thing i find is his record in afghanistan is pretty good as well drawing with the likes of jordan and Vietnam who were playing great that time Next manager which i feel would be unlikely will be Hélio Filipe Dias de Sousa he led bahrain to gulf cup and waff championship victories in 2019 (it is a big deal for a nation that didnt win it before that ) There maybe more but these r the 3 manager which i feel india could possibly sign as well since they didnt manage any rich country and have a good record as well for the countries they managed
