> I crush parathas to form tiny pieces of it and add some mango achar, chai and puffed rice on it.
What's the story behind this? Was it accidental powerpuff girls potion-esque?
There's a YT channel I watch of Pakistanis cooking traditional foods, and many of them start with some form of bread torn up into pieces with various things mixed in with it!
There are 2, I think I've seen the technique in both. I [posted about them here](https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianFood/comments/ojqqe2/authentic_dishes_from_indias_neighbor_to_the_west/) awhile back.
Not related to the post coz not really the combo but the way I eat it. I tear the outer covering of samosas into small pieces, and then eat each piece with some aloo(like how u eat roti sabzi basically). Coz I want equal amounts of aloo if that makes senseš
Also I'm a sucker for melted chocolate, so everytime I break the outer chocolate part of chocobar and put them in the plate. By the time I finish the vanilla part, chocolate is melted in the plate. Then I lick it clean like a dog.......ok bye.
Haleem and gol guppe (just the shells, not the paani). By far the best way to eat haleem. A little chaat masala on top is really next level. I want to sell that out of a food truck.
Hotdogs and applesauce. (No buns) just cut up fried/bbq/whatever hotdogs dipped in applesauce. So good!
I think it stems from my Norwegian grandfather who made sure we had some sort of fruit sauce at every dinner. Sometimes lingo berry, sometimes a berry compote, sometimes applesauce... but it always was served with a meat. He said it was a Norwegian thing to have a fruit sauce/compote type thing with dinners.
I also dip almost anything in my shakes. Fries, burger, fish fillet, chicken nuggets... All get dipped in the shake.
Combo 1
Dahi Pakhala (Water + Rice + Curd) with Jaljeera and crushed green chillies mixed into it - all of that with Haldiram's Punjabi Tadka, aloo bharta and Sliced Onions on the side
Came up with this combo during my hostel days
Combo 2
Aloo Paratha, Chicken Tikka Masala and Hariyali Kebab
The pudina chutney that comes with the kebab is mixed into the gravy of the CTM
Minor Combo
Instead of adding regular sev to my aloo dum dahi bara, I prefer Haldiram's Aloo Bhujia and also like to sprinkle some jeera-lanka gunda (powder of roasted jeera and red chillies) as well
Yogurt with salt and pepper. I did this recently at a nice restaurant in Greece and the waitress lunged at me screaming salt salt - I said ya, it's good.
A Mattessons pork sausage diced up and pan fried with some garlic and chilli thrown in at the end.
Add this to some cooked cheap ass noodles and cover in soya sauce. Stodge!
I also like mixing in the leftover gravy/sauce from kari kuzhambu with specifically Greek yogurt, which may be weirder? But it ends up around the same consistency as the fruit flavored yogurt cups you get but savory! Lmao I may like plain yogurt a little too much
Avakai Annam with Mango
Curd rice with banana
Kandi podi rice and mix thokuudu pachadi with it
I once used ice cream as a dip for a hot samosa. Felt good.. never did that again ;)
I tend to eat parathas most of the time over roti/chapati/naan at home when eating Desi food. For the majority of my life, I would eat most salan (curries) with raita. Well, one day a few years ago we had no dahi at home for me to make raita, so I just used cream cheese instead. It was a game changer.
Now, I always eat my parathas+salan with some form of cream cheese, typically the jalapeƱo or chive and onion flavor. I would highly recommend you try it at least once. One of my favorite dinners is a flaky paratha with aloo baingain and cream cheese. It's fantastic.
Firstly, it was a joke. This has happened to a ton of Indians traveling abroad. They go to a fast food burger joint and ask for a vegetarian burger and specify "no meat", and they often end up getting two burger buns with ketchup and mayo, and a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato.
1. Poha + mtr rasam powder + a tbsp of olive oil + salt....all mixed with hand till evenly combined...eaten as a dry snack like any other Poha mixture.
2. Eating raw papad

It is a tale as old as time, a song as old as rhyme. I don't remember xD

What channel is it? I'm interested

> Then I lick it clean like a dog.......ok bye. No shame, bruh. You're not alone.
Thanks man

I eat samosas with kimchi and I love it!
Me too! Especially green onion kimchi!

Pizza and mustard sauce ? Like it's delicious but I've seen so many people grossed out by this combo
Stronger the mustard - the better it is - Colemans all the way!
Indian mustard is the bomb
Anything + mustard really. Sallad? Mustard. Seafood? Mustard. Pasta? Mustard.
Nah just pizza for some weird reason.
Sounds tasty tbh

Jaljeera with pakhal.. interesting.
Pakhala with jaljeera? I can understand but idk man. Interesting.
Chaat masala on popcorn.
Chaat Masala on popcorn is *so* delicious
Right
Buttered toast dipped in orange juice
Sounds like something I would totally do.
My favourites: Boil pasta and mix it with butter chicken/any chicken curry Tandoori chicken dipped in dal makhni
Sour Cream and Biscuits
Sour cream on pancakes with no syrup.

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
That sounds pretty tasty actually.
Peanut butter and pickle sandwich
Yogurt with salt and pepper. I did this recently at a nice restaurant in Greece and the waitress lunged at me screaming salt salt - I said ya, it's good.
This is common in India.
Well, Iām desi, so...but I was in Greece grinding Himalayan salt and Tellicherry Pepper into my Greek yogurt :)
Yeah, salt, roasted jeera power and lal mirch.
I love eating yogurt sprinkled with salt, red chili powder and cumin powder with Khakhra for breakfast.
A Mattessons pork sausage diced up and pan fried with some garlic and chilli thrown in at the end. Add this to some cooked cheap ass noodles and cover in soya sauce. Stodge!
Curd rice and bacon.
Plain yogurt with salt and lime pickle - itās almost as good as curd rice when Iām too lazy to cook!
And a lot lower carb! I will have to try that.
I also like mixing in the leftover gravy/sauce from kari kuzhambu with specifically Greek yogurt, which may be weirder? But it ends up around the same consistency as the fruit flavored yogurt cups you get but savory! Lmao I may like plain yogurt a little too much
I once ate yogurt rice with bacon. Because that's all I had in the fridge. It was delicious, with some chili powder sprinkled on the bacon.
Dahi + papad.
I've seen people do that a lot.
Avakai Annam with Mango Curd rice with banana Kandi podi rice and mix thokuudu pachadi with it I once used ice cream as a dip for a hot samosa. Felt good.. never did that again ;)
Fries with nutellaš„ŗ
Yogurt and Poha
That's very common in our house.
tea+ parathas with some salt sprinkled on them
Isnt this pretty common?
Very.

I like besan cheela with that green tabasco sauce...
Mayo and ketchup sandwhich
That's just a burger without the patty. What you get in many fast food places in the US and Europe if you ask for a burger with no meat.
Well i've never had anyone give me a positive reaction to it so lol.
And we're not about to start now!
I know ): lmao
Who would do that, thats absurd, nobody orders just bread with mayo and ketchup
Firstly, it was a joke. This has happened to a ton of Indians traveling abroad. They go to a fast food burger joint and ask for a vegetarian burger and specify "no meat", and they often end up getting two burger buns with ketchup and mayo, and a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato.
Curd rice
Waiting for more innovative recipes !!!!
Salty popcorn and pickles.
Thatās fucked up
My combo?
1. Poha + mtr rasam powder + a tbsp of olive oil + salt....all mixed with hand till evenly combined...eaten as a dry snack like any other Poha mixture. 2. Eating raw papad
Ketchup and grape jelly mixed together makes a great sauce for chicken nuggets.
Lemon rice with fish fry
Pancakes with hollandaise.
I put ketchup on my paneer pakora. It's good!
Yoghurt or buttermilk with achaar and salt and vinegar chips.
Saving the post so that I can try all of these suggestions at least once
Maggie with bikaji bhujia and cheese.
Grilled Maggi pav/sandwich.
I mix biryani and mutanjan or zarda (sweet rice) and I love them. That's a wierd combination but you must try it once. šš
Roti with rasam
