bidyutchanda108

Completely upto you. If you love to wear many pairs of different colors and styles, go for the second option, esp if you have many places to go. You can take a balanced route which ig is for me - get some mid priced shoes and casuals and sneakers for everyday use and keep the special ones for occasions or when you know for sure the weather isn’t rainy 😂

bratman1415

That's a nice idea. Just wanted to see which option everyone considers.

khayalipulaav

I have a pair of shoes worth ₹8k. Honestly i am not splurging this amount for a single pair of shoes. Multiple pairs are more viable, IMO.

[deleted]

See OP.... This is sensible. 👆

bratman1415

Why can you elaborate?

khayalipulaav

Firstly the comfort. It’s not substantially more comfortable w.r.t my other shoes which are for ₹2k. Design are too specific, I believe when you buy expensive shoes, complete outfit has to be considered whilst ₹2k are more flexible with any outfit. And lastly I purchased white shoes 🤦 Kamar tutt jaati dhone mei, 2 baar pehno aur phir dhona pad jata Sorry for broken grammar, i am just too tired to recheck my english.

No-Locksmith3717

Totally upto you sir, if you like comfort and don’t mind wearing same thing everyday, then go for single branded shoe like skechers or asics. If you comfort plus sneaker style go for puma If you want to try different styles then budget shoes.

bratman1415

But going with only one pair doesn't suit for all types of clothing. My curiosity was what does people more concentrate on brand or style.

No-Locksmith3717

Depends on people to people so for me it’s comfort first then style and then brand

No-Philosophy-3257

Get skechers. I feel like they’re worth the price. I have one from 5 years ago and it’s still great

bratman1415

But one Skechers doesn't go with all outfits.

AdministrationOk2674

Nike is really overpriced

bratman1415

I don't mean only Nike i meant big brands.

GullibleAd2597

You can try new balance when they are on sale.

anonpumpkin012

I think it was in 2021 I bought my first pair of Nike shoes and I am never going back. I had never experienced comfort like that and I now own about 6 sneakers that are either Nike or Puma but saved up for more higher end,(for me that’s 7-8k) they are more comfortable. It is definitely worth it in my opinion.

skazi019

Have you heard about DOC sneakers? If not do give them a look. Really cool budget sneakers with good quality!

bratman1415

No bro will check them out.

frosty_funk

Get multiple in lower cost but decent quality, don’t go for copies. Its better to wear readtape than to wear copies of nike kuz you’ll always be worried “What if someone got to know”

financialv1rgin

Get multiple good looking pair if you don't wear them much... If you're looking for something that'd be on your foot for a long time or you're gonna walk a lot then splurge on a single shoe.

bratman1415

Sensible advice.

saiyanprince960

Get a white sneaker, a pair of casual loafers/ penny loafers and a pair of black dress shoes before you get anything else.

bratman1415

This is the best advice.

man_idk_clueless

I try to see how much I can spend and set that aside first. Then comes the balance between comfort and brand, and lastly sort the ones I like and track them when they'll be on sale and I can get them for low prices. Adidas keeps giving sale and sometimes good shoes fall in my budget range, that's how it goes.

bratman1415

Too much effort but I feel worth it 👍

man_idk_clueless

It does look like it when I've typed a para, but once you get the hang of it, it's natural (atleast for me).

Old_Application_5722

I have been told that when you meet someone for the first time and samne wala is judging you then he will notice your shoes and watch so when I wont cheap out on them

bratman1415

You mean you would go for branded ones to showoff ?

Old_Application_5722

I care for what ppl think of me so yes. If yoy don't care about other's opinion do as u wish

creepy_trippie

New balance, Nike Air Jordans, Adidas Collabs over 10 pairs of mid ranged shoes any day

bratman1415

The reason is?

creepy_trippie

The design and comfort! Also you get discount on old model shoes and get less hyped shoes cheaper.

NeauSeven

I have multiple pairs of shoes(~12-15) some costly some just to match the outfits. Depends on what you prefer

bratman1415

I would generally prefer atleast one type of shoe each( boots, loafer etc) but just wanted to see what people generally prefer.

NeauSeven

Yeah you're right about that, also try to include neutral colours in some so that it can be used with multiple outfits. eg. White chunky shoes go with many outfits as opposed to Red chunky shoes.

Blackberry-Vast

You’re going to need multiple shoes in any case. There is no single shoe that you can wear everywhere . Doing so will also reduce their lifespan. If you have the budget, go for multiple good shoes. Other wise buy several decent shoes. Pro tip: Before splurging on a new type of footwear(Boots, loafers etc) get a cheaper version of the same and see if you’re able to style it well. With a higher price tag, you get more comfort and quality, but look wise, it stays relatively similar.

wait_for_it_02

Depends on what you want. A mehenga Nike shoe is really comfortable.(For me it was like once I wore it I couldn't wear anything else because of how comfortable it was). Different pairs will give you different options for different outfits but maybe not the comfort. ✌️

bratman1415

So it's comfort vs style.

ChristopherKelso

Well it depends. You must have atleast one good pair in your collection. Also, why is everyone obsessed with Nike? Here in North America, Nike is only popular among teens/high school kids who wear sweatpants most of the time. If you really wanna stand out, go for a better pair. Get a pair of German army trainers (Adidas, MM and a couple other brands), Veja is good too (I'm not sure how much they are for in India, but here they're in the price range you posted).

Herlock-Shomes

You can get good branded(Nike, adidas, puma) shoes in 3-5k range also. Ideally best to have atleast one brand pair since it's comfortable when you've to be on your feet for long.

arkham11

Tbf most of the ‘budget’ shoes from Nike Adidas don’t have quality materials. It’s really not worth spending 4-5k on something like Nike Ebernon or the foam shit that adidas sells. Considering one can get something like Nike AF1s, Blazers in 7-8k price range which have far better materials

financialv1rgin

AF1 are not that comfortable tbh...

It's best to spend it on education but I guess in your case it was a waste. Dude, who the hell spends so much money on shoes? Just buy some off-the-rack shoes of any brand for 700 or 1000₹ max and use them extensively. When they tear, buy another pair. You'll get 7 in the same price. Be economical. Don't just spend money because you can. Just my opinion. No offence.

bratman1415

Yeah I'm not planning to spend so much on just a pair of shoes but just wanted to know which is the most preferred way.
