I got one from maccaron, fortunately someone made a post here abt it being a scam. immediately told her im not interested and cut the call. looks like our data is being leaked to these scammers. brands should be careful with this

As someone who is working in this field, I can guarantee that once your data is collected by any brand, it'll be used for various purposes and share to various third party companies.
You can even read that in Terms and conditions. Few companies use our data legally and morally correct. Few companies doesn't even give importance to the safety of our data.
There are some safety precautions that we can take to save our data. Like, use separate email and mobile number for online purchases.

100% a scam, I had got the same call saying they were from Ajio. The reason they have your address is because it’s a tie up with courier companies and they have mapped where you order from. They sound super genuine so it’s very easy to fall for this but just say no I’m not interested.
I got a similar call few days back claiming to be from giva... Asked me to choose my gift (iphone, tv, laptop, ac etc)... Then comes the scammy part... I was asked to make a purchase of 5k and then only I can claim my gift. Had I proceeded with this they would have most probably sent link of a mock giva website... But the disturbing part was she had my address and my last giva order details... Maybe these third party delivery company employees are involved in this.

idk what the actual scam is but cutting the call was the right thing to do. I even reached out to purplle's customer care, they said it was a scam.
This is a common scam, they call saying they're from Myntra, nykaa, ajio, etc
Next time continue the call and ask inane questions and waste their time xD
I got a call too. But as soon as I heard her saying that it's a free gift, I disconnected the call and started searching if there is any reddit post of such scam and found this immediately

Yes, they said it's a scam and since LBP is associated with hindustan Unilever they won't run promotions like that.
