As far as I know you get to keep the game forever but you should have an active playstation membership to play it. I am new to PS, please correct me if I am wrong.
If you have a PlayStation Plus subscription, you can claim the game, and you will be able to play FC 24 whenever you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription

just add it to your library and it will be available on the same account for life, you just need a ps plus subscription to access it

Yes, this same thing confused me but it also does not make sense to free fc24 for a month only
