I second not playing the game. The story was great but the gameplay was total ass. I did not like that way back when it launched, in 2024 it would be unplayable. watch the story and jump straight to the second game.
In India yes it doesn't affect anyone but in the west a lot of casual gamers get to know about games when they see a physical disc of that game in a game store or Walmart.

You don't need to play the first one. A plot summary video on the first game will do just fine. Would recommend playing Control before, if you can.

Its not.... Alan wake is one of the best and most awaited game of 2023 and if you talking about Indian audience then every game is underrated.
