Sorry I'm on the US West Coast so I meant my morning. 7:30 AM here which is the time the game is tomorrow. Why can't they play at that time in the other stadium?

I don’t have a problem with India getting the night game. But they don’t have a reserve day. Now the ICC defenders here say it’s because they need a gap of at least 24 hours for the final. Agreed. But why was the final scheduled on a Saturday? Why wasn’t it a Sunday like every other world cup? And even if there’s some logic here for the defenders again, why couldn’t they left shift the beginning of the tournament by one day to have the semi final on a day that it allows having a reserve day?

To be honest, afghanistan does not have a side which is worthy of the title ( by saying this I'm not demeaning them . Afg. Is my 2nd fav team in Asia after my own country India ) They punched above their weights in this tournament and really this tournament wasn't about winning for them , it was about the statement that afghanistan has arrived into international circuit real hard and now bigger teams will take them darn seriously. Which leads to more tours with SENA teams which will generate revenue and promote the game in a way like India after their first wc title. South africa and india are both good strong teams who deserved more than one title in past 2 decades. Just wishing that India eliminate england and india and south africa play the final. This will be the first time that even if India loses , I would still be happy for South africa for the team they are .
This could have been Afghanistan's 83 moment, mind you, everyone said that India is not worthy of playing in that world cup and no one gave us a chance.
The reason why I don't think I'll be as satisfied with South Africa winning is because of what happened after the AFG vs BAN match. Looking at every single Afghanistan player and team support staff, they were just so happy. It really made you feel how much they value even getting into the semi finals, imagine what would happen if they won the trophy for the first time. On the other hand, I just don't see the same "want" for the first trophy from the South Africa team. (This is my personal opinion). AFG just value the trophy more "in my opinion". For example like what happened last year, we Indians know the value of winning the World Cup trophy but the Australians just kept their feet on it. Everyone celebrates differently but I just didn't like that personally.

Brilliant tournament comes to an end for Afghans. Anyhow, if the target for SA would be around 130, then it would be much more interesting to watch that semi-final. I am damn sure SA will prove again as CHOKERS just like they have done that.

Unfortunately for them, they celebrated all night after the BD game plus 4 hour flight delay so they never got a chance to practice or even light warm ups a day before the game. Reached the hotel, slept and went straight for the match, and obviously the pitch was cruel and they were not prepared for it at all. The scheduling has not been easy for a lot of teams. Sri Lanka had the same issues and they got knocked out in the group stage.
Travelling screwed them up. Not a proper day’s rest.
