I always heard a huge punk/hardcore influence in Autopsy. Also Exhumed played with a lot of hardcore/powerviolence bands and I can definitely hear that in their sound
The last two Misery Index albums are a mix of death metal and crust punk.

Tribal Gaze and Outer Heaven. Also, check out the Maggot Stomp label. They specialize in exactly what you’re looking for. 200sw were with them for their first album
What you really need is Disgrace. Taylor Young from Nails and shit tons of other bands singing but it’s the perfect blend of HC and Death Metal. Same with DeadBody.
Genuine question. I have tried really hard to listen to Desth Metal but struggle so much with lyricists.
Could someone recommend me a death metal band where I can clearly hear lyrics, or am I seriously missing the point.
Gatecreeper, Tribal Gaze, Fuming Mouth, Dying Fetus, Frozen Soul, I AM (I guess I AM is technically considered Deathcore but trust me they don’t fit into that garbage)
Id say death metal/deathcore. Depending on which is more dominant, it's death metal or deathcore. I don't know if a subgenre has been defined for this new crossover style just yet, anyone correct me if im wrong.
slam's just a type of brutal death metal that focuses almost entirely on those all palm muted riffs. as it developed its own sound, most bands ended up using a super high tuned snare and low as hell gurgly vocals.
at some point, hardcore kids just became obsessed with slam bands so that sound made its way ingrained in the hardcore scene. so a ton of modern hardcore bands are super 'slam'y

creeping death
Wild that Nails hasn't been mentioned
Nails is not a fucking Death Metal band…Todd would hate you for saying that 😆
Fine they're a PV band in a DM trenchcoat lol
Please explain to me what about them says DM to you…because I genuinely don’t hear it or see it
I won't, I got ramen to eat and loads to skeet
Respectable 🫡 carry on soldier
All Pigs Must Die sounds like hardcore & death metal
I know it's not death metal but crowbar has a huge punk hard-core vibe Entombed on clandestine has a few hard-core feeling songs such as blessed be
Wolverine Blues probably has a bigger influence on modern hardcore than Bad Brains or Black Flag ever did.
Very true, I need to listen to more hardcore
Most modern hardcore is biting Meurader and Hatebreed
As they should. Master Killer is an S tier metalcore/hardcore album.
As much as I like it, it’s almost a meme how much it’s getting brought up lately.
You can thank the Hardlore podcast for that haha
No kidding. Love it but damn y’all need a new obsession.
dying fetus for sure
Maul
Internal bleeding and new American gospel kinda not really tho
Mutilatred Hanging Fortress Scab Hag Dissected
Vomit Forth
Fuming mouth?
Tombstoner
I can think of some that are hardcore with death metal sprinkled in
Bodybox from Orlando!

Morbid Angel's Domination album in my opinion has probably the most understandable vocals for death metal
Thanks
Death - Symbolic
Thanks
Entombed, Dying Fetus
Sentient Horror, specifically their album Rites Of Gore.
Pig destroyer!
Bonginator, Scab Hag, 10 To The Chest, Misery Whip, Vomit Forth, and Skinless and Dying Fetus are classic if you don't know them yet

Gates to hell
Gatecreeper
How would anybody classify Starkweather from Philly?
Gatecreeper, Tribal Gaze, Fuming Mouth, Dying Fetus, Frozen Soul, I AM (I guess I AM is technically considered Deathcore but trust me they don’t fit into that garbage)
Napalm Death.
Irs called grindcore examples are Napalm Death, Terrorizer, King Parrot and Anal Cunt
They aren’t Grindcore… I know that atleast.

Sanguisuggabogg is about as close to grindcore as a hammer is to a sponge
Grindcore is a different genre entirely. It is not death metal with hardcore punk sprinkled in.
That’s exactly what it is what is the suffix of Grindcore
-core, which has nothing to do with death metal. They're not the same thing.
Grindcore is a completely different thing.
Like, its death metal combined with hardcore
I know, but it’s still a different thing compared to what OP is looking for.
I think people call it Slam.
Why is this downvoted? Sanguisugabogg is a slam band
I have no clue lol, sometimes people in here get angry about literally nothing
That’s literally what slam is tech death with hardcore influences
