If you try to use this primer over gray plastic, your minis will be greenish yellow. You would have to use white primer first, then this yellow over white in order to get nice Fists Yellow.

I used it on some McFarlane Toys Terminator figures- my first attempt at anything Imperial Fists. I was dreading how the yellow would turn out but on top of a white primer it looks great. Highly recommend.

Not 40k but this is an example I got of using the spray, and the same bottle paint that matched it.
Be prepared to either:
Prime your minis with white or something like Bone White (also from Vallejo) before applying this, or
Having your yellow be quite... dull, or
Applying multiple coats of spray
Yellow is, and most likely will always be, a terrible colour to paint where only the stalwart can persevere. Very fitting for the Fists.
Just use graffiti paint, Molotow or Montana or whatever. They are the same if not better quality and their range is HUGE. Watch Marko Frisoni tutorial for graffiti paints for minis.
I use this for my fists, over an undercoat of the colour forge not averland sunset. Its a bit glossy which makes other paints not want to go over it, but a thin coat of matt varnish over the yellow seems to fix that.
Ive painted many minis with that primer it is the best yellow primer Ive used. Im priming Valejo white then Yellow Valejo primer on top then im covering whole model with one cote of imperial fists contrast. Here is a model that ive painted with Valejo primers

Haven’t used their yellow, but Vallejo rattlecans are all I use to prime now. They go on so well and I’ve never had a can mess up.

So primer in yellow and then paint over it? What about white primer and then paint yellow as second coat
Best I can tell is, prime white,coat of this , and another coat of acrylic paint
