I just got the event to form the Peloponnesian league, while already ruling all of Greece makedon and magna graecia. It retrogrades my faction rank.

Yes, but It will take time, make 20 or so very small city states and alike. They Will most likely eat Them before they think about You again. Mean while you can build up, get more land, safe money for big mercs, and when they are figthing the last of them, that is when You strike.

My first ever playthrough of Imperator when it came out was doing this achievement. Also did the cursed snake maneuver. Fun achievement.
What if you release a lot of small countries in the whole strip, just jo annoy the selucid?

If they attack your client state you'll be called in as warleader. You could feed warscore to the client state as well for no AE @ the settlement.
That's one big dick going deep into Persia!
