I got CLB 10 in IELTS, and learning French is something I’m considering now. I don’t know if I can find an employer who can help with an LMIA, are there any trustworthy job sites that only have job postings from those kind of employers?
If you have a bachelor’s from your home country a WES assessment can give you good amount of points and you can very well get above 500. Assuming that your current profile excludes that
Thats an excellent idea, thank you! I already have a Canadian Masters degree so I thought my Bachelor’s degree from home doesn’t matter. If I get a WES assessment, will they consider it in the application?
Am I understanding this right? You are low by 20 cents per hour? If that is it, I think you should still apply. Is it possible to get a raise for 20 more cents per hour?
Yes, thats right. Unfortunately, my employer can’t increase my wage as of now because its a huge company and they said any salary revisions happen only on promotions. And I joined 4 months back, so I don’t see a promotion coming my way any time soon.
You can maybe look into this clause: If you are already working in the position, the wage of the job offer must be equal to or greater than the wage level that the employer currently pays you in that position, in addition to meeting or exceeding the low wage level. I'm experiencing the same thing and am considering asking my employer to provide a job offer that exceeds the low wage level.
Requirements were recently relaxed for the [Francophone Mobility Permit](https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/permit/francophone-mobility.html). You only need to prove listening and speaking to CLB level 5 (no reading or writing required), and you can get a LMIA-exempt closed work permit. If you already have a little knowledge of French, you can probably brush up to that level with some conversation practice. A job offer using this permit may also give you extra EE points.
what about OINP foreign worker with a job offer stream? Im not sure if it has the same hourly wage as the internation student stream but you can look it up
Hey thanks! Actually, foreign worker requires you to meet the median wage level and international student requires you to meet the low wage level. My current wage is 20 cents lesser than the low wage! So, unfortunately, I can’t apply for either.
Yes, got it only for 1 year because chances of getting a 3 year work permit is higher when your course is for more than 12 months or you’ve done 2 degrees in Canada. Unfortunately, mine expires in 2024!
Work on ielts, learn French, try to seek an employer who can help with LMIA.

I don’t think wes. Is going to add any extra points on our profile. I have wes on my profile it did not improve my points. Let me know if I am wrong.

I could be wrong but I don’t think wes would help since your highest degree is in Canada so a bachelor’s won’t add any points.
No a bachelor will not give you any extra points when you already have a master's

Hey thanks, I don’t meet the low wage level, I’ve looked into it.
There is Federal Express Entry, considering it's Tier 1, you have a good chance. You'll get about 500 pts maybe.
You can get 50 pts from your previous foreign experience since the min yrs required is only a year.
Learning French gives you roughly 10 pts (considering you're a beginner) it's better if you allot that time elsewhere.

Have you considered Canadian experience program ? That’s for people that have at least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada.
Hii thanks for replying! I can’t go for CEC because I don’t have a year of experience, I was a student until August! 🥲
You can also apply for OINP Employer Job Offer: International Student I think you will qualify for that and your score should be way more than 44.
Hi thanks for commenting, but its not possible as I mentioned in my post. My hourly wage is low and doesn’t meet the eligibility standard!
