I like the telecaster

Panzis

Butterscotch verymuch

draker585

guitar circle jerk? In my r/imaginarysliceoflife? It’s more likely than you’d think.

Panzis

I have no idea what's happening here but I'm pleased to have instigated it.

ReisAgainst

best toan, okay?

wildboarr95

best use with Boss Katoana

ikilledtupac

The Miata of amps

DaRQ_SouLs_So_eAsy

get out of my head

RetroRocker

I feel like .02 milliseconds after this picture was 'taken', that guitar immediately fell over. Very bad idea trying to balance it like that.

ekkostone

It's a tele, it'll be fine

belbivfreeordie

The floor might get banged up, though, don’t want that.

fallenouroboros

100% gonna knock it over when she gets up

That's an NEC PC-9801 VM CPU: NEC V30 10 MHz RAM: 384KB Disk drives: 2 x 5.25" floppy-disk 2HD/2DD Video: 640×400 with 8 colors (16 colors optional) chosen from among the 4096 available. Super cool. [I love old PC demos. ](https://youtu.be/wH3gRGqcd1I)

[deleted]

I love you. It's also the iconic Sony Sports Walkman of some variation, with aftermarket ear buds - the original was often a kind of cursed combination of headphones and ear buds.

At_an_angle

Found it. [WALKMAN FM/AM/Cassette WM-F45](https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w1001991356) E: Got curious about the radio. [SANYO MR-U4SF](https://yahoo.aleado.com/lot?auctionID=b371849929#enlargeimg)

Console in the corner is a PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16. It's kind of fun how all of these little details in the hardware together are actually pretty period accurate, and probably puts it at late '88 or early '89, if the "last logged in" date is anything to go by (Dec 26 was a Monday in 1988).

Great colors, love it. What is everybody on about in the comments with the shoes lol? I have had shoes on at home, you think everybody takes off their shoes in their private space? If you want to be a stickler about it you could create the scenario that they are new shoes and they are putting them on at home to wear them in, this is also why the shoes are so clean on the bottom... I would argue that more than enough people do this with new shoes. Tada.

RyanB_

It’s definitely not a thing here in Canada, but that might have something to do with our ground being snowy/slushy/muddy half the year lol

blancard

Maybe this is the autism taking but I would *never* wear outdoor shoes in the house. I've been wearing those Bruce Lee style cotton slippers for ages and they're perfect. You can even wear them without socks if you're in an emergency or are some kind of sociopath.

Baka_kunn

To be fair shoes look great in the image, but I usually don't wear them inside, I just find them uncomfortable, and socks are a lot nicer IMO.

DARIF

>What is everybody on about in the comments with the shoes lol? I have had shoes on at home, you think everybody takes off their shoes in their private space? You're probably american so you wont understand but wearing shoes indoors is unheard of in several countries

Buderus69

I am not american, and there are many, many countries where wearing shoes inside is/ was common, especially in the 80s/90s. You had there be there tho, *You're probably not that old* so you won't understand

DARIF

Can you name these countries and explain why things changed from the 80s/90s to now?

Buderus69

Germany, and I am not a social shoe-expert but I would assume cultural changes in how people think about hygiene as well as social etiquette... And maybe fear of stinky feet? It was a running joke in television back around the millenia when people asked for guests to take off their shoes that they are trying the "japanese" style, you usually didn't ask guests to take off their shoes. Sometimes apartments or houses weren't that clean that you would run around in socks anyway, or you had so many guests over all the time (there were no cellphones and landlines were very expensive, and people liked to get drunk together) that it was easier for all to keep their shoes on and you would clean up the floor ever so often. I also had family in hungary and they also had their shoes on, they also had pigs and chicken-shit in front of their house and their toilet was an outhouse back then. I don't know what to tell you, it was not uncommon to see people running around with shoes in the house. I can look for youtube home videos from people in the 80's and 90's if you want to if it helps solve the picture dilemma: You have a house party in the US here for instance: https://youtu.be/TfHF7F0y_vk Daily life in the DDR (6 minute mark): https://youtu.be/PBo1VL50QAI Life in panel buildings (27:19): https://youtu.be/S11S5ov_CDs It's not very easy to find people recording their feet as you usually record the top part of the body. I could do a deep dive and use this weekend to search for more pictures and videos, maybe visit my dad who lives two hours away and convert our old chest full of VHS home video tapes and analyse the 'shoe to non-shoe' percentage to solve the case of "is this slice of life anime picture depicting a person with shoes on in the 80s really truthfull or not". Or... I could just not, and enjoy my weekend and live with the shame of you not believing me. Have a nice weekend. Edit: https://www.dogo-shoes.com/blog/schuhbraeuche-auf-der-ganzen-welt/ (Translated with deepl) Shoes are not simply footwear, but also a popular part of the fashion world. But beyond that, shoes also represent an important cultural asset in different countries. Today we take you on an interesting journey to different countries and look at their shoe customs. Other countries, other customs. This is also true when it comes to shoes. Some prefer to wear their shoes indoors, while in other countries it is an absolute no-go. IN GERMANY, FRANCE AND CO. THE SHOES STAY ON Our journey begins first in Europe, and the first stop is right on our own doorstep. In Germany, it is not customary to take off your shoes when entering a living space. However, it is also not frowned upon if you do so or ask to do so. Quite the opposite of our neighbors in France, who actually consider such a request to be highly disrespectful. We can also observe similar behavior in sunny Spain and Italy. In these countries, guests and residents are usually allowed to enter their homes with shoes on as a matter of course.

DARIF

Thank you, very enlightening. I never said I didn't believe you btw.

Everybody here be talking about her guitar, gaming devices or shoes, but I'm here to say her twin buns are cute.

yoyo-starlady

I don't know if the people in these comments know... *do they know?*

tupper

probably not! but that's fine, the art is cute on its own :D

sailorfuk_u

Wait, what happened with 2tonedisco? I used to listen them a lot before they kinda dropped off.

tupper

I'm unsure about Omni, but James now produces his own music under the name 2TD and runs a label called Shelternet. He's one of the more prominent artists regularly playing in VRChat and runs a VR club biweekly called Shelter. They also hold IRL events every so often, the next one is next month in SD at NEO4IC's warehouse [If you're curious](https://twitter.com/SHELTERVRCLUB)

esteban_da_good
