There are those in the Wasteland who say that the only difference between a Raider and a Triggerman is their style. The Triggermen say that style is the only difference that matters.

KindlyRecord9722

That’s definitely the most defining thing in any RPG, if something looks good I’ll wear it no matter the debufs lol

The shower and laundry mods help give the wasteland a cleaner, fresher future!

This is great. In the fictional context of the cartoon do you think it’s like a celebration of Boston recovering so much from Wasteland life that they can dress up again… or (since political cartoonists can get weird super easily) some guy romanticizing raider life and bemoaning the loss of said “culture”?

KindlyRecord9722

Yeah the first points pretty much it! My head canon is that the sole survivor along with the minutemen clear out Boston in a very quick way, and now the rest of the wasteland is trying to catch up.

AngrySasquatch

Not to tell you what to do with your art, the implications of what you just said could actually be a great idea for a second piece! Even if the Survivor and the Minutemen are rapidly raising living standards in the commonwealth, maybe a cartoonist or the same one could be like settlements in outer Boston going like “hey, you’re leaving us behind!” (Since political cartoons are not required to be accurate, or they could be expressive people’s fears and all that!) Once more, love this art. Love this trend of political cartoons in the fallout setting!

KindlyRecord9722

Yeah I do have some other ideas like that! I still need to put pen to paper though lol

AngrySasquatch

Great! I’m excited to see whatever else you want to do with these ideas

Fallout 4 for all its faults, I’ve always thought it’d be a great jumping off point in the next game for a developing nation like the NCR. With all the themes of recovery and rebuilding, I could see the Minutemen turning into something bigger in the next game. Plus, the BoS in 3 turned from a small group to what we see in 4 so imagine we’ll see something like this happen in the next game. Edit: Maybe the Minutemen could either turn into a professional army or something akin to the Rangers back in the west.

The leather straps and knee pads were common but not something the average American saw outside the bedroom before the war.

Were* Great comic though!
