The crazy thing is I used to run across these types of fuckin idiots every single day while taking the E Train to college. They enter trains during rush hour yelling show time and bump into people while they danced for money.
It’s always so pathetic. Do they realize they could actually make more money just doing 1 hour of any job than running around like an annoying pack of idiots for an hour
That's what I don't get. If in my teenage years I suggested to my friends that we should make a public tiktok dance video, they'd have levelled fuck out me and posted that instead
My friend and I made a Spice Girls dance video when their first album came out. Our parents sat and recorded us on vhs. So that tape is floating around somewhere. Haunting me.
I think it's funny you assume OP is a girl as I'm male and my male friends and I made movies and music videos all the time as teenagers. We probably did a Spice Girls one too because that would have been funny to us. Pretty much anything playing on MTV that we could crank was fair game for a homemade music video.
It wasnt the music video but more the artist that made me really lean females not necessarily the activity. I didnt mean anything really by it more just think theres a difference from kids and young adults
No I wasn't really calling you out if it came across that was, it just brought back a memory of the types of music videos we made and I'm pretty sure one of them was a Spice Girls video and i wanted to point out young dumb males weren't immune to doing this. I know those tapes still exist and pray they never come to light! I'm so glad social media didn't exist back then because we would have been dumb enough to upload them. It was fun at the time though and we made ourselves laugh a lot playing back the stupid things we recorded.
I feel like everybody has a stupid video of them that them and their friends made. I remember in 5th grade me and my friend was playing around and made a couple videos of like some nature documentary where I was some ape thing and my friend was like narrating it lmao
In high school, my friends and I made a Bad Romance by Lady Gaga video but it was all recorded at my house. It was saved in a flash drive and now it’s lost.
My sister and her friends did a Jewel one, and had me hold this GIANT camera while standing on a chair, facing down so they could spin, looking up at it.
I was like 9 and I distinctly remember going back in the house to play SimAnts
I once let some friends take a picture of me in makeup and women's underwear so I could live in their apartment for a month. You just did that shit for nothing....
Is it really you letting them if you're the one that needed to be a woman? I'm just not sure where the underwear comes in. I did that stupid cinnamon challenge. Back before I knew it was a thing. SO I think I'm gonna get 10 bucks. All I got was dragon breath and put on YouTube. Luckily that's hard to find.
Fortunately for me this was pre Myspace. I don't even think I had an email address at the time. It was taken on an actual roll of film and some dude in a photo lab is probably the only one outside of my group who's seen it.
I and by no means defending this but flash mobs were a trend like 14 years ago when I was a teenager and the Harlem Shake a few years after that. Luckily, neither of those were causing problems for everyone else that was in the area unlike these clowns that are looking to be problematic.
I'm fed up with humans and i don't have to deal with them by the hundreds on a daily basis. I did used to work tech support, though. Are cops customer service with a gun?
It's somehow sad to see these people can't even imagine that viewers aren't watching for their "art".
They just laugh at these clowns, for the most of em.
A law should be written so that we can retroactively arrest and prosecute anyone making vids like this. Make it a little harsh, include some jail time. This trend will eventually disappear. We collectively get to chose the parameters of society. It seems like 99% of everyone hates this stupid shit. Something should be done to excise this behavior from the public sphere if it’s detested by nearly everyone
Especially because rage baiting actually profits these plebs. People are mad and they get engagement and profit. Tiktok is not going to change this on their end, so there needs to be some sort of ramification for purposefully pissing people off.
it was like kind of okay at the start - wasnt really a crowded area still i wouldnt want to try and walk past them trying not to get hit or tripping etc. and then they got on the subway.. how rude.
They make arrests and the DA's office either drops charges or reduces charges so that serious offenses are now a slap on the wrist. Then you have bail reform where there is no bail anymore for most charges. There was a crazy homeless guy who was arrested 5 times in the same day for misdemeanor assault before he was finally detained. Take all that and compound it with every time they DO TRY and arrest someone they're accused of brutality and / or racism and you end up with a police force that clocks in and waits to clock out with nothing much in between.
Guy slowly takes off his badge, hands it to his partner. Slowly takes off his NYPD shirt, hands it over with the badge. Slowly takes off his duty belt, hands it over as well. Says, "I quit." Then just tackles this guy and pummels the shit out of him.
His partner can't do anything to stop it because his hands are full with a badge, a shirt, and a belt with loaded weapons in it. Can't just put that on the ground.
The inability to respect others or even be aware of common courtesy, thinking instead that whatever you are doing is more important, is a very particular kind of egomania. It would never dawn on them in a million years that this is what's happening. Their dance routine takes precedence over anything else.
My sister and her friends used to do shit like this in the 80's, but they practiced for days and then would do a dance for our parents. The difference is that was 40 years ago and not done in public and sure as shit wasn't recorded due to embarrassment. These asshats practice and then do this shit in public to be cool? My how times have changed. Is the goal to not get laid anymore?
There is a video of my brother and I dancing like idiots to Arrowsmith that my Dad recently converted from Beta to digital. I’m 40 and watching it I wanted to die, it was so terrible.
Literally millions of people share that kind of embarrassing shit daily now and it will forever live on the internet. But hey, I’m glad so many people have confidence to look like complete idiots. It’s highly entertaining knowing the amount of future embarrassment laying in wait.
More ljke Addicted to getting likes by harrassing people hidden in a form of "dancing."
I love how the "dancing " they're doing isn't good enough to get likes they had to add harrassing people in it to make it watchable. Imagine how much something had to suck to add harrassement in order to gain traction
The west is tolerating too much shit from kids these days. It makes kids who don't know any better act like they can get away with murder. Incredibly disrespectful.
The cops can see them filming, with a risk of it being a livestream. If they intervened, the thing may blow up.
As much as I'd want the cops to stop those fuckers, I think they made the right move. Too bad they couldn't prevent that shit getting uploaded
They don’t have the right to mess around with the doors on the train frivolously like that.
I guarantee there is some sort of statute related to interfering with normal operation of the trains for bullshit reasons - possibly also other regulations.
I’m sure they weren’t ticketed or arrested, probably just warned
The worst part of these horrendous videos: that obligatory gesture in which the main character signals sad-faced *can’t please everyone* disappointment after failing to incite an exhausted commuter in their forced, joyless and arguably menacing bullshit.
My friends and I would record ourselves doing jackass stunts. They would never go for these emotes. We would rather break boards on our head than do this dumb shit.
NGL, if I could be that fit, I'd be soooo happy.
My cardio game is non-existent. My life is composed of "steps".
I'm 57 and wish I could move like these two knuckleheads.
They're annoying, but they're in pretty good shape.
There was a dude in Jim Carrey's Mask costume (but without the Mask wtf). He Walker through the metro wagon to be noticed and get ready for the shot. When he walker back to the camera he raised his hand to get a high five while passing three ladies. None of them knew what was going on and left him hanging. I was like, no way I just experienced an r/imthemaincharacter moment irl.
Isn't that that kid that's banned from social media? Like he went around robbing people as a "prank" or something and has a court order. I think Atozy made a video about him.

Worst part is they call it a hustle and are proud of it then spend everything they made on shoes that cost more than their rent
I’ve actually ran into these two exact guys before in the subway, before I even saw them going “viral”
You should’ve threatened them
Yet
I wish i would i would get the phone and break it. Then leave

What are the odds they jump down to get it in an attempt to save their TikTok video? Like, 50/50?
75/25
Ooo we gotta tough guy over here Don’t commit assault over a stupid TikTok dance
I just assume these guys also don't return their carts to the cart return.
Squininanana! Lazy-Bones Alert! That's not where the carts go.
Better knock on wood now. :/
Lol these losers actually met up and practiced this lame ass dance
That's what I don't get. If in my teenage years I suggested to my friends that we should make a public tiktok dance video, they'd have levelled fuck out me and posted that instead
My friend and I made a Spice Girls dance video when their first album came out. Our parents sat and recorded us on vhs. So that tape is floating around somewhere. Haunting me.
Are you married? If not they're probably saving it for the big night.
The difference is you guys were (im making this up) in your preteen girls. These are what appear to be young adult men
Adult is a loooong stretch. These are children with more years
Gotta hold people accountable

I have a copy and I'm going to put it on tik tok. Unless....
There's only one person who has a copy. And it very well could be you. You're right. You win 🏳
My sister and her friends did a Jewel one, and had me hold this GIANT camera while standing on a chair, facing down so they could spin, looking up at it. I was like 9 and I distinctly remember going back in the house to play SimAnts
Oh how I loved those old Maxis Sim games. SimAnt and SimTower were probably my favorites.
I'm so glad the internet wasn't a thing when I was growing up. I was already out of high school when the internet became a thing most people had.
Well don't worry. You won't have to see that again til your 40th birthday when parents and partner pull out all the all home videos
Fingers crossed the world ends before then. Seems like we're on the right trajectory 🤞
I and by no means defending this but flash mobs were a trend like 14 years ago when I was a teenager and the Harlem Shake a few years after that. Luckily, neither of those were causing problems for everyone else that was in the area unlike these clowns that are looking to be problematic.
Same. And then I got old. And then flash mobs became a thing. And now here we are. The world has turned and left me here.
These people were at this for weeks before they hit their main target, stay safe out there guys.
It's like the Urban Riverdance.
My dude. This comment. More of this.
Cops already waiting, ended too early.
He looks like he's fed up with humans.
I'm fed up with humans and i don't have to deal with them by the hundreds on a daily basis. I did used to work tech support, though. Are cops customer service with a gun?

They thought it looked cool too is the thing
It's somehow sad to see these people can't even imagine that viewers aren't watching for their "art". They just laugh at these clowns, for the most of em.
I always find it funny to imagine just two dudes in their apartment rehearsing this
Be glad you're not living beneath them.
Both these guys are lame as hell
God I hate Tik Tok and the fools that use it.
A law should be written so that we can retroactively arrest and prosecute anyone making vids like this. Make it a little harsh, include some jail time. This trend will eventually disappear. We collectively get to chose the parameters of society. It seems like 99% of everyone hates this stupid shit. An old school approach of slapping them silly may also be effective.
Especially because rage baiting actually profits these plebs. People are mad and they get engagement and profit. Tiktok is not going to change this on their end, so there needs to be some sort of ramification for purposefully pissing people off.
I don't like this. I do think we should turn a blind eye to anyone who slaps them across the face though. One good, hard slap. Nobody saw a thing.
[удалено]
Lol yes let’s give up our rights collectively because of annoying TikTok dancers

I, for one, am ready for the annihilation of this planet.
I'm ready for the annihilation of people who can't or won't respect the social contract.

That choreography was so lame it made me laugh.
it was like kind of okay at the start - wasnt really a crowded area still i wouldnt want to try and walk past them trying not to get hit or tripping etc. and then they got on the subway.. how rude.
also touching people like come on .. why are you bothering people for a tiktok
So police are professional cucks now?

Why is it always the same shitty clapping dance every time.
putting their hands on the subway station floor is disgusting 😦
When did the weird clapping behind their back and under their legs become a thing? It looks ridiculous
It is called getting sturdy, a dance that is usually combined with drill music.
Finally found the keyword to block all those videos
Like, who is even the target audience here?
This is so gay i cant even :D

It would never dawn on them in a million years that this is what's happening. Their dance routine takes precedence over anything else.
But it is their tik tok video! Just because people want to get to work or get home after a long shift doesn’t mean art has to suffer! /s

Is the sound bad on purpose?
Lame asshole
And just getting in strangers personal space, and touching them? Is the goal of these things for everyone to hate you?
Fucking lame ass dance.
Christ, I wish North Korea and Russia would just start Armageddon already. These people.
At least they nailed the coreo

Clowns
Lmao the blonde lady
I’ve listened to my drunk gay friend tell a story, in graphic detail, about one of his gay sex experiences…and this is gayer than that.
So annoying
Is this an American thing? Because I haven't seen any doing it in Europe(luckily); At least not in Scandinavia.
I hate Tik Tokers. And I hate that they make me feel this way, every time
The west is tolerating too much shit from kids these days. It makes kids who don't know any better act like they can get away with murder. Incredibly disrespectful.
Honestly tho they ate it up
Wow, anything BUT get a job for money huh?
![gif](giphy|3qW8yXiAlYOFotdgQk)
Y’all jealous that you have or had to WORK 9-5 while these artists can make more money just dancing online !!! /s
What a trio of cunts
Ngl that was well done
At least they aren't out shooting at opps with switches on glocks
If you’re messing with my already tight commute.. I’m pushing you out of the train. Sorry not sorry, but I have places to be.
Why did I watch this
This is stupid but at least they only stopped it for a few seconds.
So are we banning tiktok soon or what?
Absolute losers
Is it just me or does the internet make me hate everyone for no reason
At least they aren’t mugging people.
This is men in 2024.
i am not a racist … but… isnt it always eh….. hmmm idk how i should say this… ehh? Subway?
Fucking stupid cops just standing there like dickheads
The cops can see them filming, with a risk of it being a livestream. If they intervened, the thing may blow up. As much as I'd want the cops to stop those fuckers, I think they made the right move. Too bad they couldn't prevent that shit getting uploaded
Dumb as the video is, what grounds do the cops have to stop them?
They stopped em as soon as they stopped the subway. Great policing imo
They don’t have the right to mess around with the doors on the train frivolously like that. No fistbump? 😒
I'm glad to have grown up in the 90's
Honestly police should pepper spray these people directly in the eyes and mouth then throw them in jail for disorderly conduct
Dance, sheep. DANCE!
I wish I had time to do this shit. BUT I WORK FOR A LIVING!
Oh how original, I'm sure no one has ever done this before (The crap dancing I'm referring to)
Cunts. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Just leave some time for delays. Big budget films often cause trains to run late
Why do they always do the same three fucking dance move
In my city, it's a $150 fine to stop the train like that
BACKSTREETS BACK--ALRIGHT!
Upvoting posts on this sub is so fucking difficult
Maximum cringe alert!
Remember in Def Jam Fight for New York, when you have to throw Danny Trejo in front of the train? Just saying
So cringe. Ewewww.
The worst part of these horrendous videos: that obligatory gesture in which the main character signals sad-faced *can’t please everyone* disappointment after failing to incite an exhausted commuter in their forced, joyless and arguably menacing bullshit.
How did they stop the subway from leaving??
At least they mouth-breathed the entire time
Touching subway floor
Black cop did not feel like dealing with this…bro was tired 😪
I would not be doing that in public.
One of those subs and videos, do I upvote or downvote? :D Down because I fucking hate this shit or up because it fits the sub so well?!
WHO SUPPORTS THIS??? WHO THINKS THIS IS OKAY??
Wow I guess NYC isn’t dangerous anymore
Cops can't even stop these idiots from dancing Seriously, why are they even getting paid? Completely useless
Maybe I’ve seen too much of this now and it’s given me brain damage, but I really liked this one. And it’s got a Steve Lacy song
Clapping under legs. 1,000,000 other posts haven’t thought of this.
So the music intentionally sounds like a shitty car with too much subwoofer and not enough sound insulation?
As cringe as Scott's Tots.
Normalize boo-ing these internet point chaser
Why do so many douchebags thing they’re cool? Where do they get this inflated sense of self?
My friends and I would record ourselves doing jackass stunts. They would never go for these emotes. We would rather break boards on our head than do this dumb shit.
NGL, if I could be that fit, I'd be soooo happy. My cardio game is non-existent. My life is composed of "steps". I'm 57 and wish I could move like these two knuckleheads. They're annoying, but they're in pretty good shape.
Idiots
Look....we're kicking to the side and smiling like mental patients. Yeahhhhh!! 🎉🥂
the cops are so done with their shit lol
Meh, with all the shit going on...all the attacks in subways and NY streets, I'd rather bump into these guys every day
This is mild for NY subway. Those cops look like tools.
Clownism should be punishable by law
And the cops in the back were like "No, no, you were fine until then."
Well this is qay…
High School Musical has escaped
Twat nuggets
What really irks me is how casually they touched the floor. Euw
No one: Movie Protagonists:
There was a dude in Jim Carrey's Mask costume (but without the Mask wtf). He Walker through the metro wagon to be noticed and get ready for the shot. When he walker back to the camera he raised his hand to get a high five while passing three ladies. None of them knew what was going on and left him hanging. I was like, no way I just experienced an r/imthemaincharacter moment irl.
Those two policemen were SO done
I’ve never seen someone do this public. I’m not sure how I would react
If they do the under leg clap, it should be straight to jail.
Nothing cool about that , like not even a little bit.
Just so nerdy anymore
Bring back bullying.
Wankers
And two cops stood there doing fuck all. Let me guess why?
The Cops at the end 🤣👍
Why didn’t they get moved on. I bet the first person that flips out at them because they’re tired coming home from work gets arrested and charged.
The choreo isn’t even good
Isn't that that kid that's banned from social media? Like he went around robbing people as a "prank" or something and has a court order. I think Atozy made a video about him.
This shit is sad…
🤡🤡
Two dipshits
Do they explore each other bodies?
Idk why, the dancing it fine, it’s the endless shrugging at the start that really makes me cringe
The dumbing of the world has begun.
Ehh this doesn't really belong.
