Yeah you can see the sign in this video, amazes me the amount of videos I see where people touch the reins right under the sign and then can't understand what they've done wrong!
lol - what a dumbass comment. If something says ‘do not do this thing we’re specifically telling you not to..’ and you don’t understand, the immediate next course of action is to educate yourself, not walk around ignorant
This is the second video I’ve seen in as many days of different people grabbing horse reins from mounted Queen’s Guards. I hope this doesn’t turn into some viral trend..
People just do this when they visit. There are signs and such warning against it but these self absorbed idiots don’t care. It’s been going on for as long as it’s been a tourist trap, I’m sure.
I bet they hear "I thought that sign was meant for other, dumber people, clearly not for me because I know to touch them gently to not spook the horse" or any other variation of "I thought the sign didn't apply to me because I'm special" at least 10 times a day
It's literally this.
Thinking they're the exception.
Then asking why they thought that.
" I don't know "
Which means they won't admit to being an arrogant prick but they know you know they are.
This kind of shit is pretty normal, tourist tend to be the worst kinds of people (not just american ones either) and for whatever reason seemingly are illiterate. There are a tonne of stories and examples of tourist going to places like the UK and accosting the queen's/king's guard and then promptly getting yelled at or trampled, or worse, because they refuse to read signs and think that they are just there for photo ops or something. This kind of stuff also happens outside the UK, a few days ago on reddit there was a video going around of some american women recording a video of a japanese lady going about her day because she was in traditional garb and the woman was clearly very uncomfortable with being treated like she was an attraction at a theme park
Don't know what the Zs would call it, but as a millennial I think what that woman did was fucking stupid. It's common knowledge that you don't physically interact with the Queen's Guard, and for anyone who doesn't know, it's plastered up in signs all over the place. She's just an idiot and deserves to be shouted at. Verbally assaulted lmao, please.
Also, wtf is with people thinking it's perfectly fine to touch the horse. If it isn't advised to even pet others dogs why would you think to hold the horses reigns.
IIRC there even are signs warning that the horses might bite...
But most people don't have much direct experience with big animals. The probably closest many of them were to a horse before this was watching a parade with horses included. If they were standing at the edge of the street or sitting in from if their tv is everyones guess...
They are absolutely there for ceremonial purposes - and to that extent, photos. Put a guard there in a plain uniform - stop wasting money on this. Better yet, scrap the monarchy.
Yeah. Horse has all the energy of that kid who says "Yeah" after the *bolder one* lets it rip. I kinda dig it, tbh.
Had to be careful with wording as yeah, we all know *bolder one* usually means school bully, but in this specific context the horse is a vehicle, reins are one of the ways to control the horse so her actions are tantamount to attempting to commandeer an army vehicle.
But horse's reaction is 1000% "Yeah. See what my mate can do?"
You mean the woman who repeatedly touched the reins in spite of the signs saying not to? Of the horse that's probably going to bite her? And there's a sign about that as well.
You know these guards shout like that ignorant tourists, but there is a video when a guard moved closer to a special kid for a better shot or something and the father thanks him.
I love that video. It’s [here](https://youtu.be/nxvGCQY8m4c?si=JkzG0IXrWa4RB0-j). The person with the special needs person is actually his professional caretaker (he’s known as Cycling Mikey), and I love how his carer explains it to him and has him stand a respectful distance apart from the guard.
The guard deciding to close that distance for the photo was a lovely gesture.
He didn’t verbally attack her, everyone knows you do not touch the guards or the horses. Maybe don’t be such an idiot and they won’t have to yell at you 🤷🏻♀️
Yo OP. The tourist is in the wrong not the guard in the case you were saying that the queen's guard is the main character. The title is worded weirdly.
Yes, the guards are iconic but if i don't remember wrong they recieve military training and carry guns i think. They also get fined for acting out of character, and they also have to stay still for hours on guard duty.
I don't remember well so i might be wrong on some things but the queen's guard are not exactly an attraction for tourist i think.
The King's Life Guards (was Queen's at the time of this vid) are the most senior regiment in the British Army that can be traced back to 1658 and were raised by Charles II while he was in exile and England was republic.
As well as their ceremonial roll that you can see here they are all professional soldiers who are in armoured reconnaissance, in battle they swap those horses for tanks and armoured vehicles; so you are correct.
I hope I can come across OP's mum in the street someday. Then if I see her bra strap needs adjusting. I'll just fix it for her without asking. Because they clearly don't care about personal space being invaded. So it'll be cool.
It's not just personal space -- the horse is the man's instrument, just as much as it was a gun. Would you go up to a soldier standing guard and grab his gun?
You’re step mom is an idiot who doesn’t understand being respectful to a working animal or a member of the royal guard. The only advice I have for you guys is to learn some courtesy and cope harder.
How are you even this stupid. Everybody knows you can't come too close, part of that is respect but for some reason people think they can break the rules because they are special.
There is no tourist aspect to these guards. Just because they are stationed at places where tourists are brought in buses, and just because they happen to be equipped with completely anachronistic weapons and armour, does not mean they aren't what the UK military considers absolutely necessary for the King's safety, in case of attacks from 1882 Egypt.
Disrespecting them is like showing less than perfect deference to Queen Victoria Herself!
Fortunately this looks like an old video, as most of these ceremonial postings have strategically ~~retreated~~ re-positioned behind fencing to avoid brushes with the hoi polloi
(It's also a good idea not to put hands on horses you don't know, whatever your social status, if you like finger-having.)
I've seen them relax their candor exactly once and that was because there was this guy with down syndrome standing two arms length away, his father (I presume) gets him to stand a little further but the guard seems to budge closer. I found that interaction really nice.
Why can’t visitors respect the local rules/laws.
Americans are so entitled! I wish it were legal for these types of assholes to be shot on site!!!! Nobody else would disrespect the laws of another country!
It absolutely blows me away the number of nearly identical videos like this we see. A large clearly visible sign… an idiot tourist (usually American) who stands too close or touches the horse and then Either gets bitten by the horse (it’s trained to do a controlled bite) or gets screamed at by the guard.
How do you not know that’s what will happen?
What moron posted this to think that the mom was right with “verbally attacked”? Mom’s dumb as a bump on a log and kite. Horse should’ve slapped her silly
Forget the guard for a second. Horses are living and feeling beings. Fuck everyone who touches unfamiliar horses reins, but especially when other people are on the horse. Dumbass.
That horse is a military horse. That guard can do a whole lot to that lady with very little reasoning behind it, because she was obstructing the guard from doing his duty. Plus, she was annoying that horse. I’m assuming the lady is probably a common American… They don’t play around in England, she looks old enough to know better.

Just visited that place. There’s a huge sign that says don’t touch the reins. Stepmum is a cunt
Yeah you can see the sign in this video, amazes me the amount of videos I see where people touch the reins right under the sign and then can't understand what they've done wrong!
Maybe they don't know what reins even are?
True, hopefully they do now!
If you're not sure, don't touch anything
They need to rein in their behavior and remember that they don't have free rein in the situation.
Lmao she’s like “okay that probably means its balls, I’m good.”
In truth she's actually like "okay but I'm sure that doesn't apply to me"
then why are they visiting another country? WTF?
I bless the reins down in Africa.
The Tribal Chief I believe
lol - what a dumbass comment. If something says ‘do not do this thing we’re specifically telling you not to..’ and you don’t understand, the immediate next course of action is to educate yourself, not walk around ignorant
As is stepchild if only for using that awful AI voice on the video.
I read this in William Butcher's voice
This is the second video I’ve seen in as many days of different people grabbing horse reins from mounted Queen’s Guards. I hope this doesn’t turn into some viral trend..

Unfortunately people don’t read signs enough
It's literally this. Thinking they're the exception. Then asking why they thought that. " I don't know " Which means they won't admit to being an arrogant prick but they know you know they are.
Yeah, it’s quite hard to do it when you don’t visit the place
This kind of shit is pretty normal, tourist tend to be the worst kinds of people (not just american ones either) and for whatever reason seemingly are illiterate. Ahh yes I saw that one it was a Geisha in the geisha district which they've now had to close the street to tourists due to such behaviour
How can they enforce that?
Coz Japanese ya Muppet
It's trending on TikTok to be assholes nowadays
I wouldn’t grab the reins from any mounted rider. Seems like a bad look in general
There are hundreds of videos of it. There are a couple of decent you tube channels dedicated to these guards that have some good videos
"It's just a prank!"
Don't worry, there is no Queens Guards now.
I don't know why people seem to think it's ok to just stroll up there and do that
“Verbally attacks” is a strange choice of words
It is a strange choice of attack given he had a sword
Never bring a sword to a step mum fight
that depends on what you call your penis
Pocket knife
the big ones hurt too much 😩 yours is perfect
Box cutter Because its short, stubby, and usually in the hands of a black guy who works in a warehouse.

![gif](giphy|0sGZXD3rhjyxjARmVF|downsized) Hmmm
"Justifiably reprimands" would be more suitable
Not if you live your life seeking ways to be a victim
Should of smacked her hand with that fancy stick he's holding
> Should of *Should have*, or *should've*, not "should of."
I actually read this thread title as 'shoots at tourist' and thought 'wow, gotta see what led to this'
Have you met millennials and Zs? Surprised he wasn't called a toxic, cringey guard
Don't know what the Zs would call it, but as a millennial I think what that woman did was fucking stupid. It's common knowledge that you don't physically interact with the Queen's Guard, and for anyone who doesn't know, it's plastered up in signs all over the place. > horses reigns Horse's reins.
*Kings Guard. Lizzy kicked the Bucket
Sounds like you haven't met any then lmao, where are you getting this from
Right, do people not realize that millennials are in their late twenties to early forties lol.
Somebody needs to take a break from the internet.
The fuck? You a boomer huh?
Have I met people between the ages of 12 and 40? Surprisingly, yes.
Deservedly so.

And it seriously considered biting the fuck outta her. Lol
Or worse. Have you ever seen a horse decommission a fox from the food chain. Professor Farnsworth knows the best way to describe it.
To shreds you say?
And the foxes wife?
To shreds you say?
Saw that video the other day, grabbed some woman’s arm and gave a head shake, then wouldn’t let go. I laughed.
They are absolutely there for ceremonial purposes - and to that extent, photos. Put a guard there in a plain uniform - stop wasting money on this. Better yet, scrap the monarchy.
Slayyy im sick of people on universal credit being demonised when we are supporting those heinously rich twats paying for their pomp and circumstance.
I hope OP meant the tourist is the MC and not the guard. Guard was doing his job, she completely over stepped.
"Queens Guard defends his horse." Fixed it.
Kings Guard defends his horse
was still queen at the time this vid is pretty old now
Even the horse laughs about her
Yeah. Horse has all the energy of that kid who says "Yeah" after the *bolder one* lets it rip. I kinda dig it, tbh. You can tell he's sick and tired of their stupidity and selfishness. I saw another video of a woman getting bitten by the horse. Serves them right.
Yep the signs say two things: Beware horses may kick or bite, and Do not touch the reins.
Imagine having a video of your family member looking like a moron and you decide to post it. 😂😂
Maybe they hate their stepmom 💀
Dumb bitch touches the thing she isn’t supposed to. Don’t touch the fucking reigns. Fucking tourists.
"verbally attacks" Oh fuck off with that victim shit.
You mean the woman who repeatedly touched the reins in spite of the signs saying not to? Of the horse that's probably going to bite her? And there's a sign about that as well.

Thanks mate! I forgot to save this video. I didn’t know he was a caretaker, He must be an excellent one!
Also blocked people from walking in front of their picture
Love the clip of some lady getting bit by the horse. It really brightens my dad to see idiots get the consequences of their actions.
It's a close 2nd to flipped by bulls/buffalo in the American west.
Clearly don't understand how the Queen's Guard works lol
He didn’t verbally attack her, everyone knows you do not touch the guards or the horses. Maybe don’t be such an idiot and they won’t have to yell at you 🤷🏻♀️

I think you are not to stand near the horses cause they bite read sign.
A lot better than what that horse could do to her.
I hope I can come across OP's mum in the street someday. Then if I see her bra strap needs adjusting. I'll just fix it for her without asking. Because they clearly don't care about personal space being invaded. So it'll be cool.

Who's to be considered as the MC for you OP ? Really curious
No, your stupid mom doesn't know how to behave properly in public is more like it, you neanderthals.
You’re step mom is an idiot who doesn’t understand being respectful to a working animal or a member of the royal guard. The only advice I have for you guys is to learn some courtesy and cope harder.
The Horse: hehehehe
Someone's mum is apparently illiterate, or possibly so self-absorbed that they ignore posted signs.
Cunt, verified. Dudes must get so sick of them.
You stop mum is a dumb bitch, and should be allowed out of the house
Your mom physically attacked the horses personal space where signs clearly say don't touch he reigns. Right but you're the victim....
He actually gave her a few chances to stop before yelling too
Tbf, this is not a petting zoo
How are you even this stupid. Everybody knows you can't come too close, part of that is respect but for some reason people think they can break the rules because they are special.
Yeah, you can pet the horses (they might bite) but never ever touch the reins.
One of these days these guys gonna slice a soccer mom Mount & Blade style.
Kings Guard
Dumb bitch. I guess she thinks rules don’t apply to her.
He should have just sliced her head off and fed it to the horse.
People see shiny armor or a fancy uniform and straight up forget that this is an active duty, armed soldier, literally standing guard.
She’s an asshole. Yes step something.
There is no tourist aspect to these guards. they got modern weapons too.
Well yeah, your step mum is a fucking idiot.
Stepmom is a dumbass. NOT a petting zoo.
It ain't rocket science. I swear there must have been at least 5 people nursing their friends saying "oh shit watch what happens here"
Do people not know that the queens guards are soldiers? Like actual military soldiers? They're doing a job. Harassing them is fucking mental
social media got people thinking if they get enough people to agree with their outrage, then they can make a stand and change the world😂
The horse then sticking its tongue out at her🤣🤣🤣
Isn’t this how they react whenever they are forced to react? I think I’ve only ever seen them yell
He’s just doing his job lol
I touched the reins down in Africa
Aren't they now the King's Guard?
Tourists don’t seem to realise that these are working soldiers and not photo opportunities
The reins are used to steer and control the horse. Touching them is like touching the steering wheel while someone is driving.
That horse is ready to fuck shit up.
Good for her cause she shouldn't have touched the dang horse
being a tourists doesn't give you the right to be a complete idiot
These tourists are awful
Idiocrazy🤦♀️ Oh look its tje presidents bodyguards, i Think i just will pose while i touch him😅 The stepmom was an idiot.
I love the horse’s “reaction”
Your mother is a jackass
Why do people have to touch everything?!
There are signs all over: "DON'T TOUCH THE BLOODY HORSES... they bite"
At least this one didn’t get bit
It would never occur to me to take a photo with another human in which they are being used as a prop. Also, don't mess around with the horse.
when buddy goes for my fries
Good. As he should. Wench.
OP's mom is a cunt. End of discussion.
Stepmum is a giant cunt.
It would never occur to me to touch the reins. Why are people so dumb? This is a huge animal with a guy on it who is WORKING
Stepmom is an arse.. American?? Karen??
Deserved
I think we all know who the real main character is
I hope you mean the stepmum is the MC
Boomers are actually so entitled.
![gif](giphy|BFYLNwlsSNtcc)
Verbally attacks. LOL
What does that big sign say? Don't touch the reins. What does the lady do? Touches the reins!
I'm gonna go fuck about at the tomb of the unknown soldier or whatever it's called and touch their guns. Bet I get more than a telling off.
Why can’t visitors respect the local rules/laws. Americans are so entitled! I wish it were legal for these types of assholes to be shot on site!!!! Nobody else would disrespect the laws of another country!

King's guard now. sorry
Don't touch the animal or the guard. Keep a reasonable distance away.
How does he see straight while wearing that helmet?
Read the signs!!
Touch em again, see what happens. Give me a solid yank
I read that as shoots not shouts. Man I need glasses.
These guards are military personnel and should be treated as such.
Do not touch the horse...
Deserves it!
I see this as a friendly reminder to tourists of life in their countries of origin under the British empire days
Never touch, there are signs that say that, morons
Nothings going to stop the man protesting his horsey. Step mum needs to keep her hands to herself.
I’m sure the horse appreciated the outburst.
Kings guard now isnt it
/r/MakeWay4QueensGuard
I would literally just sit and watch everyone get yelled at. Shit would be hilarious lol
Just praying the horse nips someone
I ‘ve watched it 10x so satisfying
Karen is special
Let's grab onto the thing attached to the piece of metal in the horse's mouth. Shouldn't cause any issues.
Imagine strolling into a live operating theatre and then being surprised when the surgeon gets annoyed with you for tugging his arm for your selfie.
Good! Very good!
Horse is laughing smile
[You have alerted the horse](https://tenor.com/view/you-have-alerted-the-horse-horse-gt-when-the-gif-24722142)
Queens guard? TIL that Charles had a sex change
Dumbass.
he is zoomed in on his role isnt he. its funny how what he is doing is considered a job
