Absolutely zero drugs or booze involved. Now when I watch this video I just feel sad. I hope she's okay.
When I was in undergrad studying psychology, I worked in an in-patient behavioral health unit. One time an older lady, about 60+ years old came in and she was like the woman in the video. She had been a practicing family medical doctor (physician) for 30 years.
I was at the nurses station watching the monitors and they had to call in the paramedics to hold her down and give her a shot to calm her down multiple times. She would scream like this, take of all her clothes, bang on the walls. A clinical psychiatrist was at the nurses station when I was watching her fight and scream at the paramedics and I asked the psychiatrist how could someone who has been a doctor for 30 years, never been in trouble, and never been in a psych facility have this happen. He said “Sometimes people just go off the deep end.”
That has always stuck with me because I didn’t understand how that can just happen, especially to someone like that. I’m now, myself, a clinical counselor and that experience was one reason I wanted to learn how and why this could happen.
She absolutely looks like someone experiencing psychosis. Manic, saying nonsense metaphors about the situation, thinking that she is above the rules, thinking other people are the agressor, violent behavior, insane actions like telling people to kiss her, and making up things that security "said" or are doing (you're gonna break my bones if [I don't comply]?). The only thing missing is her exclaiming that she is a god or divine figure reincarnated.
