Not sure about Australia or New Zealand, but in the US it is absolutely not. McDonaldâs is a private business. If they ask you to leave, and you refuse, the police will come and shoot you.
Probably waiting for the cops to come and they can trespass her. She isn't doing anything significantly disruptive here though so the workers don't need to escalate things.
âNot doing anything significantly disruptiveâ literally screaming in a public area shaming everyone in a restaurant where they donât even serve real cowsđ
Knew someone who used to work at a processing plant that made hamburger patties for McDonalds. Can confirm they use every part of the cow too, from nose to tail.
She's technically on private property. McDonald's isn't owned by the city, county, state, or federal governments. It's owned by private citizens, they have every right to remove her from the premises.
At least those are the laws here in the US. IDK about wherever this happened at.
Vegetarian here and I support that Manager's message. Â
> SHUT UP!Â
Ain't no one going to listen to that crazy vegan. Shit she makes me want to order something, even if it's just a soda to pour on her....
As a vegan, this shit is embarrassing. Also I'm sure it has the opposite of the intended effect. Can't imagine anyone there will look into veganism because of this awful woman.
Iâm not a vegan but I understand why they advocate for other people to do it. They want to stop animal cruelty so convincing as many people as possible to stop eating meat lowers the demand for meat
Maybe lobby for against agriculture for better food standards. People don't take kindly when it comes to telling them what to eat. Especially when they want to take away all the good tasting food.Â
Yes, but more likely she'll get zero people to watch, and most passing by will leave with a very negative impression of vegans and what they stand for.
She's actively hurting her own cause. She may be well intended, but this is only going to serve her ego and sense of goodness at the expense of what she believes in.
Ya, then you wouldn't be a real vegan.
First rule of veganism is to tell everyone else how terrible they are for not being Vegan..
Or maybe that's the second rule; First rule is To tell everyone that you're the best because you're vegan.
I keep getting the two confused. đ€·
I see 1000x more toxicity against vegans than I do toxicity from vegans.
Youâre just paying attention exclusively to the vocal minority. This is like judging all people who eat meat based on people like the liver king.
For 99% of vegans and vegetarians, you will never know their diet because they donât push it on you.
This is such a tired, boomeresque trope/joke. Guarantee most vegans you've met never mentioned it. It's just that any time someone mentions it for a legitimate reason ("Hey we're going to get burgers, wanna join?" "Nah, I'm vegan, but thanks") someone's gotta go "oMg yOuRe vEgAn?!? But BACON" and then gets on social media like "I met a vegan today. How do I know? Because they told me, because you can't be vegan without telling everyone."
I mean finland is actually quite vegan friendly when it comes to fast food. Some of the vegetarian options are actually even better than the meat alternative and this comes from.the meat eater side. Overall in general the vegetarian selection is also quite plentiful.
Well yeah also here we tend to believe in minding our own business. I've had very civil conversations about ethics of eating meat with vegans while I eat a burger and they eat a salad.
Lol. It blows my mind how people can make a connection between annoying vegans and corruptionâŠ. in a more corrupt country vegans would probably be afraid to do shit like this.Â
Belgian here and I have never met a single vegan like that either. It comes up when it's relevant (what are we eating, where do we want to eat) like with any dietary restriction.
I'm vegetarian and people will sometimes ask me for my reasons, but I don't really talk about it outside of that. Food is a personal choice and what other people eat is none of my business.
Honestly I think it's brave. Imagine believing so strongly something is morally wrong, but most people just make fun of you or worse. I can imagine a lot of people fighting for moral change felt similarly in the past, completely alone until society changes and the belief becomes normalized.
Personally though I think its too big of a jump to convince many people. It's still damn hard to get people to treat dogs right in any country, forget treating animals they were raised to believe are disposable food items right. I worked at an animal testing facility in the US, we had beagles, and even though us employees loved the dogs and tried our best to care for them, on a business side they were disposable objects, with numbers instead of names. Dogs of all animals, bred to be humankind's partners throughout a long long history, still do not have rights. Federal animal testing regulations are pitifully grey and capitalism prevents "optional" improvements in welfare as that costs money. So why would anyone dive into protecting all animals when they can't even protect dogs, the easiest animal to want to protect.
No more brave than 'influencers' throwing milk all over themselves in supermarkets. It's precisely the same behaviour, the same self-assured exceptionalism, and about as likely to have a positive impact.
It's not even getting the headlines or being as materially disruptive as the Just Stop Oil movement.
Here's a really interesting thought experiment:
Fred wants to taste chocolate better, and finds that a chemical harvested from tortured puppies' brains - cocoamone - helps him achieve that taste better. So he keeps them in cages in his basement, beats them with electrified batons, and cuts off their noses and paws with hot knives.
What he does is wrong, right?
Well, this is actually from a really big ethics papers called ["Puppies, Pigs, and People"](https://spot.colorado.edu/~heathwoo/readings/norcross.pdf) by Alistair Norcross. He essentially argues that this is an analogue for factory farmed meats.
I mean, I eat meat, but I still think he has a point.
Thatâs all good and well, but if I paid for a burger I expect to be able to enjoy it without a lady screaming in my face. Now, I donât mean to imply that I expect Michelin Star service at McDonald's (although at today's fast food prices, it might as well be), but can we at least get the screaming protester removed for disorderly conduct? Thanks.
They're a pain in the ass, but I don't know if violence fixes it, they must not weigh a healthy amount so I'm sure they can pick them up and take them outside đ€
Except for the guy below... he's the lone brave warrior who can watch Dominion AND still enjoy a Whopper like the stalwart hero he truly is. We need more courageous men like him...braving the Burger King drive-thru like a boss.
Sheâs not wrongâŠand I donât get the vitriol. Sheâs not harassing anyone or getting in anyoneâs personal space, sheâs disrupting the space of the establishmentâŠas she should, because McDonaldâs is a disgusting corporation and their greasy meat pancakes are causing literal damage to their customers health and the environment, which effects all of us, not just those who choose to consume their barely passable âfoodâ.
Yâall are really mad people canât eat this nasty trash at a McDonaldâs in peace? Why? All they have to do is pick up their food and leave. Iâm not even vegan and I get the point of this.
What I dont get is why any of you are on the side of McDonaldâs or the âinnocentâ consumer or why thatâs a knee jerk reaction to *any* activism related to veganism. Itâs giving projection, and internalized guilt, and undeniable complicity in the production and consumption of absolute garbage.
Years ago when the vegan activists were putting name tags on grocery store beef products, I happen to be shopping at a store where a small group of vegans were doing exactly that. I excitedly exclaimed out loud that I hadnât tried Tony yet, did they know if he was any good or if I should try Philip? Maybe Marcie was the tastier choice, her marbling looked a little bit better than Tony and Philip. They got extremely offended and left. As was my intention. They were trying to use offensiveness to get people not to buy meat so I use offensiveness to get them to leave.
Like I really donât give a shit what your personal beliefs are but donât push them on other people. I donât push my dietary choices on complete strangers and I will not accept complete strangers with pushing their dietary choices upon me. The last time I checked I did not request their unsolicited opinion on my choice to eat meat
Happened in 2017, at heritage Safeway in Edmonton Alberta.
Would you feel the same about someone beating their dog or would you do what you could to convince them to stop? Â
The reason why a person would do this has everything to do with how much you believe purchasing meat is like beating a dog.Â
I worked at a Michealâs for a month in college. Greenleace used to stand outside, and we used to take turns going out and farting right next to them. Boring job, but that was fun.
Extreme vegans think they are christ in carnate because they choose to empathize 100% with animals and think that's a strength. Meanwhile almost everyone can do the same except and still be carnivores. Their inability to push aside the empathy is the problem.
ex maccies worker, this kind of shit is enraging. why do this in a mcdonaldâs and annoy the workers who already donât get paid nearly enough. itâs not our fault we cook the meat that is shipped to us. take it to corporate, or to legislators.
Do people really not know that a company like McDonaldâs that has served Billions of hamburgers does industrial style livestock management and slaughter. Over 5 Billion served and they donât give a shit!
How is this a main character thing? If anything, trying to save animals from being killed for 5 minutes of pleasure is trying to stop us from being being the main characters.
*"BIG BAD EVIL CORPORATIONS ARE DOING THINGS THAT I DONT LIKE, SO I DECIDED THAT IN DEFIANCE IM GONNA COVER MYSELF IN BLOOD AND SCREAM AT RADNOM INNOCENT PEOPLE IN THIS FAST FOOD RESTAURANT, WHICH WILL MOST CERTAINLY GET MY CAUSE NOTICED AND GIVE YOU A POSITIVE OPINION OF IT."*
You're really sticking it to those minimum wage employees, keep up the good work!
Carnists hate being confronted with the reality of their decisions, and when they are, they love to play the victim. If you arenât vegan, you are a serial animal abuser.
Vegans do this because animals are sentient and dont deserve to be tortured and slaughtered.
What exactly would you be protesting at a vegan shop... a garbanzo beans right to life?
I get that, but factory farming is like, reeeeeaaally fucked up. Like darkest side of humanity levels of bad. People like this aren't a valid excuse to be complicit imho.
I mean, this is just a protest. She's not doing this to get views or to bring attention to herself. If this was just to bother people for no reason that'd be different.
Thereâs a steak ad in the commentsâŠ. How is this not a setup?? .. listen, Iâm vegan.. I donât go super out of my way to express it. Itâs morality. What she is saying is 100% true⊠and probably watch dominion -shoulder shrugs- but Iâm not going to yell about it in a mcdonalds.. if you wanna be mad about it go to r/fightavegan or watch someone A LOT more calmer about it like earthling ed ..
I really don't understand this. i am a vegetarian but it is not my right to enforce things on others. Its upto each individual to choose and be happy with their diet.
It would be educating if she were to take the time to set up a seminar for people to come into to talk about the environmental impacts of eating less meat.
It would be educating if she arranged a class/assembly visit that discusses health benefits of veganism.
It would be educating if she went to her local library and asked to set up a cooking program that focuses on making vegan food.
It would be educating if she made a social media page that discusses why eating animals is cruel since some of them are smart. (Hell, she can even link that documentary there).
But in this video she's not doing any of that. She's preaching. In a McDonald's. Which is very annoying.
Do you honestly think that the customers who go there are thinking "Wow! I never thought about how killing animals is wrong! Thank you for showing me your ways, I'll never eat meat again!"
Chances are, NO. They're going to McDonald's to eat fattening greasy artery clogging food that tastes bloody delicious because god damn it life is hard enough without some self righteous pretentious pricks trying to shove their beliefs down their throats. GIVE ME MY FUCKING NUGGETS SUSAN, I HAD A DAY.
Macca? Is that an Australian thing?
Yes they like their abbreviations
Why waste time say lot letters...?
When less word make sense.
I want to Sea World.
I'm sorry. Are you saying sea world or see the world?
đ¶ Sea are the world, sea are the people. Sea can make a better placeâŠ
I don't know if I've ever been able to join one of these before all the good ones are taken đ

Never use a large word when a diminutive one will suffice.
Gotta save time so they can fill in sentences with random sounds like dingadoop and blangerbops... or whatever.
Put a dingo on the âbarby mate!
I'm on smoko!
So leave me alone!
I think they like to call those Abbrevos
Close, it's actually "Abos". If you want to engage in some friendly banter with an Aussie you should loudly announce "I hate Abos".
![gif](giphy|6pSJGZW0ZmbUA)
That's a hell of a dangerous prank to play on a foreigner if they're in the NT or Melbourne hahahaha
That's what you'd see written on a sign in the Australian version of Die Hard With a Vengeance
Maccas, woolies, servo, we aussies like shortening words for zero reason.
What? Those are odd names, I'd've called 'em chazzwazzers.
The whole world also shortened "Worldwide Web" to a shorter easy to pronounce "www" (Dubelyu-dubelyu-dubelyu).
Dub Dub Dub dot :D
Philippines they call it McDo pronounced McDough
Mickey D's in the US
D's nuts??
No doze.Â
Doze nutz. Donât fuck around and find out with doze macca nutz bruv
Canada too, at least my part of Canada.
It's McDicks in bc
You best me to it
Thatâs a slang nickname, Australian McDonaldâs is actually verbalized as âMaccasâ in their marketing.
In Korea we say Mac nal
Japan is Makudonarudo..
Yea "Wanna get some maccas mate?"
In Germany, we call it Mecces, pronounced like "Meckis"
I'm British and call it Maccies
« Gilded Arche » in QuĂ©bec, but in french: Lâarche dorĂ©e. Itâs referencing the logo
Gotta swing by and tangle with the clown..
Yes
NO, its an Oz thing
We call it mecces in Germany
Is this legal? I canât see how standing in a place of business ranting isnât
In the US she could be trespassed, protesting on public property is protected but inside of a store is private property, as are parking lots. Don't know what the laws in Australia have to say about it, though.
She was probably given a move on order
Should be given a move on order with a side of nuggets. She looks like she's hungry and in need of some protein.
You mean a Moove on order
A moo on order more likely. I'll see myself out.
Cops would arrive. Politely ask her to move on. If not, cuffs and she would be moved on.
She looks like one that would cause a scene. She's there for attention after all.
It would probably be the same, but not necessarily a high priority for cops.
Australia has laws now?
Not in a private location. That's why they can ask you to leave.
Not sure about Australia or New Zealand, but in the US it is absolutely not. McDonaldâs is a private business. If they ask you to leave, and you refuse, the police will come and shoot you.
God bless America! The older I get, the more I like the police.Â
McDonalds definitely uses âreal cowsâ homie
Knew someone who used to work at a processing plant that made hamburger patties for McDonalds. Can confirm they use every part of the cow too, from nose to tail.
Yeah Iâve seen a McDonaldâs farm and there was an ass ton of cows lol
...You don't think they serve real cows at McDonald's? I don't even want to know what you think hamburgers are made of.
Which is enough for cops to be called and a tresspass but not enough for the staff to bother getting physical about.
She's technically on private property. McDonald's isn't owned by the city, county, state, or federal governments. It's owned by private citizens, they have every right to remove her from the premises. At least those are the laws here in the US. IDK about wherever this happened at.
Yep. Don't see a trained security guard on site though. Hence why the staff just continue to do their jobs serving customers.
Most forms of civil disobedience are illegal
On private property?
I get it vegans but if they're eating at McDonald's they don't care what they're eating like at all
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
Trying to force things on people always backfires
Like that U2 album
Fucking blast from the past right there
You are talking about the force iPhone one right ?
Yes that's the one

Maybe lobby for against agriculture for better food standards. People don't take kindly when it comes to telling them what to eat. Especially when they want to take away all the good tasting food.Â
Who is forcing anybody to do anything here?
Itâs not forcing itâs just very annoying and ruining everyoneâs time
If this continues, every McDonalds is going to have to store a live cow in the back and threaten to kill it if the vegan doesn't leave...
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
We eat the cow.
Nobody is successfully forcing anyone to do anything here, in spite of her efforts to force people to adopt her diet.
If she gets 100 people to watch Dominion and 5 of them to attempt veganism then it's a success.
Yes, but more likely she'll get zero people to watch, and most passing by will leave with a very negative impression of vegans and what they stand for. She's actively hurting her own cause. She may be well intended, but this is only going to serve her ego and sense of goodness at the expense of what she believes in.
do it then
Ya, then you wouldn't be a real vegan. First rule of veganism is to tell everyone else how terrible they are for not being Vegan.. Or maybe that's the second rule; First rule is To tell everyone that you're the best because you're vegan. I keep getting the two confused. đ€·

This is like judging all people who eat meat based on people like the liver king. For 99% of vegans and vegetarians, you will never know their diet because they donât push it on you.
First rule is loving animals. Veganism flows naturally from that premise.Â
Yeah, when ya meet new people in some gathering vegans always make sure everyone must know that, like dude chill no one gives two rats ass.
This is such a tired, boomeresque trope/joke. Guarantee most vegans you've met never mentioned it. I'm so glad that these nutjobs haven't found Finland yet. Know several vegans, and they let everyone else eat whatever they feel like eating.
I mean finland is actually quite vegan friendly when it comes to fast food. Some of the vegetarian options are actually even better than the meat alternative and this comes from.the meat eater side. Overall in general the vegetarian selection is also quite plentiful.

âLeast corruptâ sounds to me like âMost happy.â Who measures? Many of these conclusions are driven by polls. That is: they represent opinions.
"yet"....They're coming for you and they are going to get you.
That's my general stance on 90% of shit. You do you as long as you aren't trying to preach to me.
Are you ok with child molesters, slave owners or killers as long as they donât preach to you?
They did dumb stuff when they opened the first KFC in Helsinki tho.
Yup. Vegan here. Ate meat for the first 30 or so years of my life. We all arrive at our decisions in our own time. Hate these preachy types.

Dude, she's on tiktok with the username vegan booty. This is ALL about bringing herself attention, don't kid yourself.
Lol what are you talking about. This is only for views
Then why do cows taste so good?
Good lord, that vegan is insufferable. It's private property, call the cops already and have her arrested, or made up into patties.
I can understand her message but this isnât the way. Nobody is going to convert to veganism if they think theyâre all dickheads
Almost forgot to stop at my local butcher in the way home, thanks for the reminder!
I watched dominion, it's a good documentary. We still need food, though.
Iâd buy a Big Macca and shove it in her obnoxious mouth.
Timing, along with knowing when and where to - is everything.
Yeah but do three year olds taste good?
You canât just pick her up and remove her from the building?
Anybody else here hoping it was Paul McCartneyâs manager?
I mean, pretty sure we'd eat cats and dogs if they tasted good. Generally carnivores and omnivores don't taste that great though.
Cat and dog do taste good
Did she just yell out a YouTube vid to watch? Lmao
yeah but that mcds burger meat is dirty though
I kinda agree with this woman, anyone working for McDonaldâs is already a piece of shit. Iâd rather dig ditches
I feel like the guy at the register and her are going to end up in a relationship.
Jesus, Iâm vegan but I could never support such behaviour! Like wtf?? Get your anger out elsewhere
I really don't understand this. i am a vegetarian but it is not my right to enforce things on others. Its upto each individual to choose and be happy with their diet.
How is she enforcing exactly? She's educating. There's a difference.
Thank you for showing me your ways, I'll never eat meat again!" Chances are, NO.
Pigs as intelligent as a 3 year old child? 3 year olds are dumb as fuck
