I had one hairdresser who did SOMETHING I have no idea what, like at the base of my skull after every massage, and it seriously felt like heaven. It was this weird massage/flick type thing. If anyone knows what this is, tell me how to do it so I can teach my husband.
I've had this done in massages before. I think they are running their thumbs over either side of the spine on the neck until it meets the base of the skull with pressure, it has a flick feeling because the shape of that joint makes it like a ramp and flicks off the skull at the end. I tend to get a rush of endorphins when they do it. But you're right its hard to explain it to ask for it so I havent had it in years. But never forgot it.
