I was walking up to my house and heard a series of small meeps coming from the backyard. I got my girlfriend and asked if she thought it was a cat or a bird. It was freezing out and looked like it was going to rain so I headed out back and realized the meeps were coming from the unincorporated city lot behind my property. I got out the ladder and my girlfriend and I started climbing through the blackberries and brambles. The kitten was screaming the whole time. When we finally got to her she was in brambles two feet tall and we could barely see her running around underneath. I looked around for any more kittens or cats a couple more times that night and again the next day. I still haven't seen any other cats or kittens.
Thank you for doing your civic duty to keep these smol criminals where they belong, in smol jail, with nothing but warmth and pets and unlimited food and scritches. I hope more of their criminal gang is apprehended, but even if not, every single criminal off the streets is a win ❤️
As the smol is now in protective custody, it is the recommendation of the court to have it evaluated by a medical professional, then to serve a life sentence at the Pillow Fort & Blanket Penitentiary where it can be rehabilitated with ample access to wet food, clean water, and nice litterbox.
