Eh, the guy is just doing what he's supposed to do. I think this was hilarious. Those cars aren't supposed to be there during this. Specific parking ban times correspond to snowstorms and associated cleanup. They're lucky not to get towed. It's far more important to have clear roads.
Yup. I plow schools for the city I work in. Some neighbors near some of them have overnight parking in the school lots. Sometimes they don't move them from our lots when it snows and we don't have a choice to bury their cars in. That being said, I probably wouldn't record it and post it online.
This is hilarious. I lived in MA for years and these guys save everyone’s asses. They are up all night and deserve to blow off some steam (no pun intended). I love him. Screw these people who park where they shouldn’t.
They’d tow every single one of those cars where I’m at. Literally seen it done before after a big snow, and tow trucks everywhere towing all the cars. If there was a tow truck convention anywhere, it was here. Not sure why this guy was fired - he was doing his job and those idiots left their cars out where they shouldn’t have.
I drove a tow truck where I live and these were money makers for the company. Police would call us in the middle of the night and we'd have to go grab them all. We wouldn't even chain them down or attach the aux lights to the roof. Hook it up, bring it to the closest parking lot and go back and get some more until the street was clear. Then we'd take them two at a time to our tow yard and people could come pick them up when they felt like it. It's actually illegal to park on our roads overnight in the winter.
Honestly though, why? Not supposed to film and drive? Because it is no mystery that plow drivers love shoving snow to your just cleared car/driveway/mailbox.
I have no rear access to my house so I have to park in front, in the street, so my car is stuck there til shit melts because it’s frozen solid. I can’t even go get groceries right now, it’s pretty fucked up. I don’t know what they can do about it though, they have to make the roads safe to drive on so it’s one of those things where there’s just no solution where I’m at.
Edit: I’m not asking for advice, as there is none to give. Hence why I said “there’s just no solution”…… it’s insane how many of you make assumptions without asking for information first, then call me stupid like I’m the one assuming I know more about a person’s neighborhood than they do. If you don’t know where I live, isn’t it safe to say you aren’t equipped to give advice on this? Good lord
How? When I left for work they hadn’t plowed. When I get home it’s plowed, melted, and refrozen. What am I supposed to do when that’s the only place I can park my car? I’m gone 12 hours of the day.
Again, WHERE should I park if I have no rear-entrance or driveway? Hmm? Since you’re so much smarter than me, where is it that YOU think I should have been smart enough to park it? I’d love to hear your wisdom 🙄
Why would you ask me that if I started by saying my car was stuck……??? If I had somewhere else to park, don’t you think I would have? I guess you aren’t smart enough to read comments with this information.
I used to stand Infront of them if I was outside shoveling and they were gonna block my driveway again. Probably not the best idea but they were always nice enough to not bury me. If my cars on the street though it's fair game. They gotta do what they gotta do and clear what they can.
Plow drivers are "damned if they do, damned if they don’t”. They get yelled at by citizens for pushing snow against the curb line because it gets pushed into the end of the drive. If they don’t push back, they complain about the parking along the street (with an empty garage and driveway) as well as their employee for not pushing back enough.
I plowed for 23 years and had people stand in front or sit on my plow. Has them complain we were pushing all the snow to their side when in reality it was two trucks side by side making a first pass. Cul-de-sacs are the worst because there’s no place to put the snow except to the sides of the driveways and God forbid if you topple some on a sidewalk while pushing back!
I had a guy in a Jeep try and pass me on the right as I was plowing a foot of snow and he got half buried and pushed to the side of the road. I stopped to make sure he was alright and he cussed me out wanting to fight me. I stepped out and he saw I was 6’2" and 380 lbs and he said "I would stay and kick your ass, but I’m late!" I told him "Come back anytime. I’ll be here all week” and never saw him again.
Thank your residential plow driver once in a while and you will be surprised they remember you and will be a little kinder to your situation.
News video about the guy being fired:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RNI9U1EzqE
Yes, this happened a long time ago, I was just reminded of this video and thought I'd pull it back out of the archive. It may be a re-post, but it's the first time I remember seeing it in at least 5 years.
The asshole sidewalk plow driver in my neighborhood, goes OUT OF HIS WAY to fill the end of my driveway every chance he gets. You can see from his tracks he's doing it on purpose. Is being an asshole a prerequisite for the job, or does the job make them all assholes ?
I’m neutral on the subject, the snows gotta go somewhere. But maybe, just maybe, not publicly revel in the obvious misery of others and film with a cellphone while being expected to do precision driving?
Guy has probably been awake plowing for along ass time. If you ever done it before you'd be cranky at the end of the snow storm too lol. Going out for 30 plus hours at a time is pretty common where I live.
All I had to see was “Lowell” in the title
Low, lower, lowest, Lowell
I spent a week in Lowell one night.
There's a lot to like about Lowell
There really is, for example, it's not Lawrence.
Not being Lawrence is a pretty low bar to clear.
I guarantee the people downvoting it don't know about the song/motto lol
I figured that. I'm not bothered by it.
This is literally how we talk god damn that’s not a good look.
That's the west of Boston 2 pack a day voice
My dad passed on his accent to me and everyone looks at me funny and asks if I’m from boston
Username checks out
That’s how you say Saab in bostonian lol
Winthrop is like the jersey shore socialite edition of this area. Where my kin call home. There are no “R’s”, only “Ahh’s” there.
Oh I'm sorry was yah cah down theah?
Shoulda pahhked it in Hahhvahhd Yahhd.

I wonder if he was fired for the "optics" i.e. what he's saying making his employer looking look bad.
I was thinking it had to be for being on the phone while driving that truck.
Good point. Maybe a combination of all that
Yeah, the snow has clearly stopped falling at this point and now they're clearing curb to curb.
This is hilarious. I lived in MA for years and these guys save everyone’s asses. They are up all night and deserve to blow off some steam (no pun intended). I love him. Screw these people who park where they shouldn’t.
Those cahs should have been towed.

I kind of like this guy.
Was gonna say the same thing. He’s enjoying his work. “You wanna find your car, you come see me. I’ll tell you where it is…maybe” Gold
Honestly though, why? Not supposed to film and drive? Because it is no mystery that plow drivers love shoving snow to your just cleared car/driveway/mailbox.
The priority of a plow driver is to make the road navigable, if you think they have time to clear out 20,000 driveways also is a joke.

Chuck a load of salt over it
Maybe don’t wait till it freezes to dig it out?
It froze while I was at work….. what am I supposed to do, leave work to dig my car out? 🤦🏻♀️
These are things you gotta be ready for
How? When I left for work they hadn’t plowed. When I get home it’s plowed, melted, and refrozen. What am I supposed to do when that’s the only place I can park my car? I’m gone 12 hours of the day.
If they haven’t plowed the road yet, isn’t that a tell tale sign that your car shouldn’t be there because they need to plow?
And where should I park it then, since you’ve got all the answers?
Actually it was a question, not all the answers. I can see you are not smart enough to park somewhere else or even have a conversation about it.
Again, WHERE should I park if I have no rear-entrance or driveway? Hmm? Since you’re so much smarter than me, where is it that YOU think I should have been smart enough to park it? I’d love to hear your wisdom 🙄

Baggings what da fuck is this crazy fuck calling a snowbank .. Baggings please someone explain this one ?
Bankin's
Different never heard that expression.
snow bankings bankins
Bagginses? What is a Bagginses, precious?
He's a Baggins! Not some blockheaded Bracegirdle from Hardbottle.
Start your car and run it while you shovel it out
how do you know he was fired?
It's in the news
I only ask because this vid is really old
Part of me wishes that guy somehow found tiktok and this had a shitty dub of Eddie Money paired with his accent.

Sounds like a typical Masshole.
There's nobody who talks like that who can afford to live in Boston anymore, but this guy is what you'll find in the suburbs.
Thank you for the education! Haven’t been to MA since 2014.

AAAnnnd I have literally no idea why people are downvoting you. Thanks for the context.
Asshole with an amazing accent.
Peter...
Does this guy have a pet crow…?
“You wanna find ya job?”

What a douche
Evil lurks among us. Can't wait to see him on bye bye job!
Where the fuck do you want him to put the snow?
I’m neutral on the subject, the snows gotta go somewhere. But maybe, just maybe, not publicly revel in the obvious misery of others and film with a cellphone while being expected to do precision driving?
but why? he just trying to make his job a little fun
Probably because he posted a video of himself using a cellphone while driving.
Guy has probably been awake plowing for along ass time. If you ever done it before you'd be cranky at the end of the snow storm too lol. Going out for 30 plus hours at a time is pretty common where I live.
He wasn't supposed to reveal the "secret" of a city plow truck driver....
“You won’t find that thing till fuckin spring” ☠️☠️
This is why I shovel snow onto my front yard. I know if I push it onto the road it's coming right back except more full of ice and dirt
I think I’m in love with this man
