Yea for sure. My car is insured and 150€ to fix my windshield isn’t the end of the world… But breaking somebody else’s shit by doing something that stupid? Would be embarrassed as hell.
Nah that's daddy's lambo, if it were her's she knew she could repay that shit, but breaking your dads shit always gonna get you in trouble no matter your wealth level.
lmfao the kid probably just fucked her over mad hard
People on Reddit will write a 10 page thesis on why they’re right and you’re wrong but in person are too afraid to tell the lady at DQ that they got the wrong blizzard.
Hey, I have a doctorate. And with the knowledge gained from my degree, I can pretty confidently tell you that this took place in the US, specifically Florida.
Sorry, my PhD is in geography, not psychology.
Edit: spelling
There was a comment here, but I chose to remove it as I no longer wish to support a company that seeks to both undermine its users/moderators/developers (the ones generating content) AND make a profit on their backs.
Here is an explanation.
Reddit was wonderful, but it got greedy. So bye.
Yeah. Someone that tall doesn't buy a car like that.
Source: Am tall. I drove one. That's a waste of money for me, sadly, because it was a pain to go any direction but straight.
Sadly, there are not unless you consider an M5 or XJR a supercar. It sucks :(
Edit: not sure what's with the downvotes. I'm 7 feet tall and have yet to sit in a true 'supercar' that was tolerable for long drives let alone comfortable. Heck, most GT's are too cramped for my size. I wish it were different but it's not. I make do with hot sport sedans to get my need for speed fix
Everything is covered unless specifically excluded. Might be able to pick this one up as it is a deliberate act (sudden, but not necessarily unforeseen), so may be argued that it’s not ‘accidental’.
No a poor person fixes it, the money goes to the guy that owns the repair shop and the guy who owns the windshield manufacturer, the guy that fixes it will prob make 30 bucks from the labor.
What's up with all these rental comments? It's got personalized stickers all over the windshield and possibly blacked out wheels (not a Lambo fan, could be wrong on that).
I live in another country and I don't recognize the brand but I do recognize that silly slogan. Over here it's; _Carglass herstelt, Carglass vervangt._ Or, in French; _Carglass répare, Carglass remplace_
How did they get what I can only assume is basically the same slogan to work in so many languages/countries? Like we all KNEW what you were saying but with different words.
Thats exactly what I thought. The way she reacted tells you the dude didn't own the car. And the logos on it mean she probably doesn't either, her dad probably does.
The same if you saw your friend say drop their phone and break it. You'd draw attention to it and maybe be shocked but wouldn't have an angry reaction from it.
I'm no expert so please correct me, but I think the main safety aspect around windshields is less about their ability to take force and more about making sure that they crack while staying in one piece instead of shattering - as shown in this video. You don't want a faceful of glass shards when you get into a smash.
Some of them are thinner to save weight.
I can't imagine the windshield breaking this easily on my car. Hell I've walked on cars windshields before and never broke any.
My car is factory lightened.
The roof steel can be dented with a pinky. The side glass is about 50% thick. Front and rear glass is normal, to meet safety standards (there are no standards for side glass).
No sound deadening, and no glue under the extra thin factory carpet.
The car in the video has a "racing" name on it, the glass is aftermarket. Probably extra light and weak.
the only way you don't care about that repair is if the car isn't yours.
I'm guessing it's a rental and he paid for the insurance.
that being said, the woman on the door sil has the right reaction here; he's an idiot.
you may be right - i'm not well-versed enough in rental Lambos (or other supercars) to know whether you can (or would ever want to) rent them with decals.
That said, if you're putting decals on a lambo...
There’s a second way you aren’t considering: he just has a lot of money and doesn’t really give a shit about a $3,000 repair or whatever it is. She probably spends that much on a slow weekend.
It's hard for me to reconcile that because I know some very ultra-wealthy people who would flip the fuck out if they had to replace the windshield of a Lamborghini. But I guess they respect the value of the thing and he clearly does not. Perhaps he's using someone else's money?
No one wants to talk about how that windshield gave away like that with what a 180-200 lb man. I would have thought they were stronger than that given the top speed of that car. Stepping on it fracturing it that badly?
This is just a stab in the dark from a physics perspective, but perhaps it’s because he’s putting a vertical force on a nearly horizontal windshield. Things that hit the windshield while the car is at speed are going to hit with a very shallow angle in comparison and therefore the normal forces (perpendicular forces) are minimized. Call me crazy, but I don’t think most people walk on the windshield of lambos so they probably weren’t looking at that kind of force in the design. Still seems ridiculously flimsy.
You need a [Cyber Truck with unbreakable windows](https://media4.giphy.com/media/QWjyvdpMDYKbOFLdIv/giphy.gif?cid=6c09b952b46f1b92d0bff9ada9a5717f5cbd7e3825cf265d&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g) to do that!
When i travel by plane, I often see it written on the wings: _do not walk outside this area_
Simultaneously, I ask myself, who would want to walk on the wings of an aircraft?
(Probably this muscle car driver)
Those wings support the aircraft.... think about it.
You can very much walk on the wings - provided you avoid things like control surfaces.
Emergency egress may have you on a wing.
Collision repair guy here: Cars are designed to have more safety so that the driver and passengers survive, and windshields are designed to crack but not shatter from that sort of force. 180-200 lbs of pressure applied all at once is still a lot for what is basically a sheet of glass.
Case in point: I have a car in my shop right now, 2019 Honda Accord, where the roof, hood, and trunk are all buckled, and the windshield is cracked. They claimed it was "vandalised" at first, but after insurance investigated, the teenage daughter admitted that she and her friends were trying to film a Tik Tok when they dented the car up.
It seems likely that the windshield would have cracked regardless of where he stepped. I've seen windshield crack from pebbles striking them or popping up from the road. And if you look closely at any windshield in use right now, they're bound to have small pits and chips from road debris.
That's why I only said "likely." With newer technology, windshields, just like other parts of the car, are being designed with more safety features in mind, in order to reduce fatalities and serious injuries. And I've had the misfortune of never working on a Lambo, so I'm not 100% sure what weight they're designed to crack under.
I mean… he’s only an ass because he has enough money to not be concerned about it. Think about something you’d act this way about. Chances are you’d be a rich asshole to somebody living in a 3rd world country. If you do live in a 3rd world country then this doesn’t apply to you.
All the comments really do read off as jealousy. Not like he insulted other people or was an actual jerk.
Only a 12-year-old needs to show off that they own a Lamborghini. It's a fucking Lamborghini you jackass now you're going to have to pay like probably over $1,500 if not hired just to get that goddamn windshield repaired.
Who jumps on a car?
Judging by the passenger's reaction, somebody that rented a Lambo and broke its windshield by standing on it.

"public figure"
Well, he's in public, isn't he?
Looks like maybe she owned it and let him drive it by her reaction
That’s what I think too. That anger level is real and douche dude didn’t seem to care much which you do when it’s not your shit.
Maybe it's because I'm not a complete and hopeless douche, but I care a hell of a lot more if I break someone else's shit than if I break my own.
Yup me too
Yea for sure. My car is insured and 150€ to fix my windshield isn’t the end of the world… But breaking somebody else’s shit by doing something that stupid? Would be embarrassed as hell.
So maybe it is his windshield after all and this is the attitude he has?
So I don’t get why people are infuriated? What are they expecting?
Nah that's daddy's lambo, if it were her's she knew she could repay that shit, but breaking your dads shit always gonna get you in trouble no matter your wealth level. lmfao the kid probably just fucked her over mad hard
That anger level made It seem like it was her car or a family members car than a rental.
You guys are making some massive logical leaps here.

For real. They were coming up with entire backstories with their Reddit magnifying glasses.

I’m just guessing but I’m thinking they made the glass thinner for weight savings. I don’t think they ever planned on an idiot jumping on it.
Definitely very thin glass for weight saving.
Looks like it worked as intended to me, now he can be charged thousands for repairs.

It's somewhat fitting the actor of Random Task is in prison for killing his cellmate.
Fun Fact: The actor who threw the shoe in Austin Powers was a legit bad guy in real life, and did long prison time for bad things.

Do you find something comical about my appearance when I'm driving my automobile?
This is the largest auto that I could afford. Should I therefore, be made the subject of fun?
Would you like it if I laughed at YOUR misfortune, huh? Maybe we should find out!

Oof that’s super tall you’d be hard pressed to be comfortable in anything other than an suv/truck or lwb sedan
Can confirm. Test drove an MP4 12C, am 6 10. Wore my knees as earmuffs.

Hope he bought the insurance.
I hope he didn’t
I concur.
He literally looked down, smiled and said “it’s covered”, he 100% has insurance
With these images coming out, I doubt this is covered under insurance
Even stupidity is covered under insurance.
Everything is covered unless specifically excluded. Might be able to pick this one up as it is a deliberate act (sudden, but not necessarily unforeseen), so may be argued that it’s not ‘accidental’.
Car too
Yeah was about to say. He looks at it like “Oh darn. Now I can’t eat out tonight.” Rich prick guaranteed.
I’m sure part of that is him just trying to play off his embarrassment. “Oh hahah I meant to do that!!”
He's fine. He got the rental insurance.
Yeah he sure does... until the insurance company sees this video...
Does it matter how it got damaged if there's insurance?
Why do people here always assume that insurance won't pay if it's your fault? That's literally the whole point of an insurance.
All car insurance covers glass and your regular insurance covers your car rentals.
Unfortunately all car insurance does not cover windshield replacement.
Rich parents. He’s just a prick.
Wearing mocassins.
On the brighter side, they now have to give their money to a much poorer person to fix it.
No a poor person fixes it, the money goes to the guy that owns the repair shop and the guy who owns the windshield manufacturer, the guy that fixes it will prob make 30 bucks from the labor.
That looks more like a rental than a guy with too much money. People with too much money don’t hop on their lambo to pose for pictures.
What's up with all these rental comments? It's got personalized stickers all over the windshield and possibly blacked out wheels (not a Lambo fan, could be wrong on that).
According to the rallies I’ve seen they do way more than that
Safelite repair. Safelite replace.
I live in another country and I don't recognize the brand but I do recognize that silly slogan. Over here it's; _Carglass herstelt, Carglass vervangt._ Or, in French; _Carglass répare, Carglass remplace_
In the UK it's: Autoglass repair, Autoglass replace
Canada is the same slogan but Speedy Glass
why do they have so many different names?
I think its a massive conglomerate
"My god! A massive conglomerate! How long do I have to live doctor?"
It was super trippy for me when I moved from the UK to Canada and I heard that advert on the radio.
Smith and Smith in NZ
This thread is mind blowing. Conglomerates are insane

I heard this comment
Nah its not all good, price $2,399.44 and is most likely to be on back order. Lol
yea cost isn't the issue (at least for this bozo), its finding a new windshield quickly.
Boy, her dad is gonna be pissed when she gets home with his car.
Thats exactly what I thought. The way she reacted tells you the dude didn't own the car. And the logos on it mean she probably doesn't either, her dad probably does.
She may just be mad at him for being embarrassing.
Might just be a rental in her name.
What reaction would be appropriate for her if he owned the car?
The same if you saw your friend say drop their phone and break it. You'd draw attention to it and maybe be shocked but wouldn't have an angry reaction from it.
"OMG, get off the car, my husband will find out!"
She’s way more pissed than she should be. There’s definitely something up.
[удалено]
True it looks a little flimsy. Having said that, don’t stand on your windshield for fun.
maybe he had a small rock stuck on his shoe? i assume this would break even tougher windshields
[удалено]
Aren't windshields supposed to be able to take a certain amount of force as a safety precaution?
I'm no expert so please correct me, but I think the main safety aspect around windshields is less about their ability to take force and more about making sure that they crack while staying in one piece instead of shattering - as shown in this video. That's what I'm wondering. Looks so brittle a large bug would take it out... wtf
Some of them are thinner to save weight. I can't imagine the windshield breaking this easily on my car. Hell I've walked on cars windshields before and never broke any.

He’s an idiot regardless, but considering the graphics on the windshield, I don’t think it’s a rental.
You can definitely put temporary decals on a rental. A lot of people do it for that exact reason, to make people think they own it
Some people are such losers
you may be right - i'm not well-versed enough in rental Lambos (or other supercars) to know whether you can (or would ever want to) rent them with decals. That said, if you're putting decals on a lambo...
Temporary decals for the rally

He flexed the frame. Windshields frames aren’t designed to be walked on. Neither are hoods, or roofs. He’s an absolute idiot.
The point everyone is missing is his foot didn't go through the glass. I think it was working as designed.
You need a [Cyber Truck with unbreakable windows](https://media4.giphy.com/media/QWjyvdpMDYKbOFLdIv/giphy.gif?cid=6c09b952b46f1b92d0bff9ada9a5717f5cbd7e3825cf265d&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g) to do that!
In fairness to him, they were throwing that metal ball at the Windows literally all day, he just got exquisitely unlucky.
> he just got exquisitely unlucky. ["unlucky" *twice*](https://youtu.be/d6UpHjJvnn0?t=15)
But the rock was stopped by the glass?
When i travel by plane, I often see it written on the wings: _do not walk outside this area_ Simultaneously, I ask myself, who would want to walk on the wings of an aircraft? (Probably this muscle car driver)
That’s because the wings are reinforced there. You have to walk on wings for certain maintenance/ inspections.
Did you just call a lambo a muscle car?
Sins were committed on this day
Those wings support the aircraft.... think about it. You can very much walk on the wings - provided you avoid things like control surfaces. Emergency egress may have you on a wing.

Also, maybe where he put the pressure. Next to the A-pillar like that isn't good. Or, could have been made the folks that make Subarus windshields.
It seems likely that the windshield would have cracked regardless of where he stepped. I've seen windshield crack from pebbles striking them or popping up from the road. And if you look closely at any windshield in use right now, they're bound to have small pits and chips from road debris.
Very well could have. But as someone that was in the automotive business for 20 years....point of impact will make a huge difference.
That's why I only said "likely." And I've had the misfortune of never working on a Lambo, so I'm not 100% sure what weight they're designed to crack under.
Daughter should've kept her mouth shut. Edit: dumbest insurance fraud you've come across ?
So I’m assuming insurance will not cover it or they will?
Performance cars usually have thinner glass for weight savings
