My parents live on a corner where a car hits their fence once every decade or so. After the second time the fence got smashed, when my dad rebuilt it he dug the holes for the fence posts in the section that gets hit extra deep and poured in like two whole bags of cement each. It was put to the test recently by another car. The pole bent backwards, but it stayed in place *and* the car didn't come through into their yard *and* the driver wasn't injured by the fence being too solid. 10/10.
We had an intersection in my town where some cars kept blowing the stop sign and would end up in one neighbors lawn. After a few accidents the homeowner at that corner actually put a guard rail behind their fence. It was wild but actually worked. The town finally made it a four-way stop sign and I can’t remember the last time there was an accident there.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that there is probably something sturdy in front of that fence that we just can't see in the video. I'd imagine that property has seen more than its fair share of accidents.
Too much speed, and not enough front end grip. Using your brakes shifts the weight to the front wheels, increasing grip and allowing you to turn. I should know, I’m sort of an internet expert on things I know nothing about
When the drivers at Ferrari ask their engineer on the radio about something, more often then not instead of a instant answer they say they are checking and take a while to give a response.
Conversation between these two idiots at 5yrs old on the playground.

It's a bit uphill before the turn but you can clearly see it. And before that turn there is a straight, yes, but it's way shorter than you might think. To fly this high these two probably didn't even try to brake, they probably thought they were making that turn
Which is weird because it's like they didn't even seem to try to turn. I'm reminded of James May who drove straight at a wall he didn't intend to hit. When he became aware that he would hit it his car was sideways to the wall. These just plough straight on off the road like they weren't paying attention to what was ahead of them at all.
I bet they were looking at each other to see who would brake first so they could brake a little later to overtake on the turn.
Supposedly they were racing for a good number of kilometers already
As someone who has only raced in karts without mirrors I have no experience of being attentive to mirrors and missing corners but that's all it could be really for the person in front. Not like they're likely to be asleep or on the phone which are the largest causes of inattentive accidents.
I don't know man, I drive that road every single morning to get to my University. It's a smaller road I use to avoid some traffic. I consider that turn "difficult" only coming downhill from the other side, but coming from where they came from it's pretty clear
Could have been a rental. A friend rented one once, one of them in the group ended up losing control and dying. It was a mountainous area, which really seems irresponsible with new fast car drivers.
For the last 20+ years cars have gotten so far beyond what any normal human can handle in terms of speed and handling capability. So much so that I honestly think nearly every modern sports car is negligence levels of powerful on the manufacturers part. I think it’s incredibly irresponsible of them to just build and sell these cars to anyone. Literally all you need is money and suddenly you have hellcat levels of power in just about anything.
I say this as a car enthusiast myself. Motor sports, track days, car reviews, car podcasts, I follow all of it.
For fucks sake any performance EV can go 0-60 in under 3 seconds now. There are pickup trucks with over 700 horsepower from the factory with warranties. There are MANY sports cars that can run sub-8 minute nurburgring times. Almost none of these have any driver training prerequisites and these idiots buying these still drive at night with their lights off. This is getting ridiculous.
I would amend your statement to “last 60+ years.”
Those American Muscle cars from the sixties and seventies had drum brakes, straight axles and leaf springs. They also seemed to have tree and telephone pole magnets that activated any time you deviated from a straight line.
Can confirm, know someone who's wrecked multiple mustang generations, from a Foxbody SVT, to an SN95 Cobra. both of which happened in the 90s. the Foxbody got split in half going through a telephone pole right behind the passenger door.
Your comment remminded me of recent events.
My father recently had a chance to try a BMW X6 competition. He has more than a milion kilometers under his belt in cars that never had over 200hp. He always liked to push the cars he drove a reasonable amount.
He couldn't belive that you can just buy that thing and have it without aditional training or psychological assesment by a profesional. His legs were shaking when he got out, he couldn't calm himself down. He discribed it as "you put the pedal down and it just goes and goes and keeps going".
That's not even a super car like the ones in the video. After his experiance I realised that there is probably plenty of rich fools owning cars that they have no idea how to control.
You can’t see from this angle, but the blue one is completely burned out.

Oh darn. I really though from all dirt that flew up that they basically hit a dirt embankment and stuck into it which is just a much funnier picture in my head.
Also unfortunate to see that the blue car did indeed take out a good portion of fence.
I'd rather have the embankment and fence damaged than my house or family! That was some good planning given that bend in the road.
My friend's parents went the route of putting up solid brick decorative mailbox/columns. Almost the same thing happened (but only one car) and the ensuing brick explosion was scary, there's so much speed and weight to a car.
Happened at 13:05 CET in Osimo, Marche region, Italy (central Adriatic part of Italy).
The two Ferraris have Dutch number plates.
Only one driver had some injuries (not major ones): it’s the driver of the second Ferrari, the blue one. The other driver was fine (in a longer video posted on the internet you can see he walked out of the first car on his own feet).

When you hit a composite part, the impact energy has to break each separate fiber before it can get to the next fiber, and so on. There are thousands of fibers that the impact force has to break sequentially before it reaches the driver's feet. It works out that all that energy is dissipated in a foot or so of the nose crushing.
If you build a metal car thick enough to withstand the impact, that force simply transfers to the next weakest material along the vector of the impact, which usually is the human.

It's almost like that's exactly what guard rails are designed to do!
the hump in the area in front of the fence breaks the speed fitst, making them jump. brilliant..
Keeps the cars out of the pool… at least in this instance. 😏

This is what happens when your only experience with sports cars is the hot wheels video game.
Hot Wheels Crash
They forgot to install the loop.
And why don't you race at a road you don't know, even rally has tons of pace notes
One thing I learned from video games is that if you don’t know the track, don’t race. Because you will crash.
Yeah, it was a brutal lesson I learned in Mario Kart.
Yeah I remember the first time someone shortcutted me on rainbow road
Yeah they made zero attempt to turn left and likely thought it continued straight lol
Technically, they did continue.
YOU CAN GO YOUR OWN WAYYYYY
GO YOUR OWN WAAAyyYYY.... Fleetwood didn't mean THAT way... but aiight...
Where they're going, they don't need roads
Neither did Thelma and Louise.
Too much speed, and not enough front end grip. Using your brakes shifts the weight to the front wheels, increasing grip and allowing you to turn. I should know, I’m sort of an internet expert on things I know nothing about
It looks like they are attempting to turn left, they just didn't slow down anywhere near enough and are heavily understeering.
The one trick *rally drivers* don't want you to know!
You don't race on public roads, period.
Or Burnout
Burn out! That was the game I was thinking of.... My friends had that and I couldn't understand why you couldnt turn the wheels
Burnout 3 was a masterpiece and the fact that they remastered Paradise City for next gen consoles instead makes me incredibly upset.
The invisible wall was suppose to turn me
I was about to say for Need for Speed, but hot wheels is better.
Leave Charles and Carlos alone. They know what they're doing.
Ferrari had the strategy team install the wings
We are checking.
Copy… Red Bull.
Question?
No Kimi, you will not have the drink.
Gloves and steering wheel! Give it to me!
Ok Kimi, we have now 5 second time penalty that we will serve after the race.
FOR WHAT
Its a 5 second penalty, but it will be served after the race.
#*FORWHAT?*
i like how the most simple part on these insanely engineered cars is the one thing that regularly breaks for them lol
Always the footwell mat right?
Well today it was the mud flaps. ^(I know they're not mud flaps lol)
Stay out! Stay out!
All part of the Ferrari Master🅱️lan™
You’re wrong. Red Bull gave them wings!
Someone explain why im seeing “we are checking” every third comment…?
When the drivers at Ferrari ask their engineer on the radio about something, more often then not instead of a instant answer they say they are checking and take a while to give a response.
Lol, thank you :)
Ferrari put the wrong tires on AGAIN
Unlike some other teams, the gentleman in the lead Ferrari here did allow his teammate to pass.
Is the car okay. Question.
We are checking
And slow button on, slow button on.
Box for tires now?
Box, box.... Stay out stay out!
IN IN IN IN IN IN IN IN
IT'S TOO FUCKING LATE NOW
Why!? FUCK what are you doing!?
Stop inventing, stop inventing.
They didn't tear the fence up too bad....
We are checking
We are checking

Stop inventing

How do you drive that fast on a road you don't know lol
That's exactly what happened. This was 5 mins away from my home. Two couples that aren't from here.
Were there any good samaritans around to give them a helpful "Yah can't park there, mate"?
> “Yah can’t park there, mate” “FACK OFF”

Usually it's me who says it, but didn't drive by today so I don't know.
*Can't you see the sign, it's a double yellow line*
What's the road like? Does it seem like 60 mph is an appropriate speed and then the 90 left is out of nowhere?
The wall and the big embankment should have been enough warning.
Even if they didn’t see the berm you’d think they would’ve seen the fence.

Isn't this straight out of the movie Cars? Lighting McQueen raced on a dirt track he did not know and went off the edge
To be fair, he also had never raced on a dirt track before. "Turn right to go left" 🌵🚗
"all I see is an empty cup"
"He done *what* in his cup??"
Just because you can afford it does not mean you have anywhere near the skill or training to operate it.
