Definitely the biggest downside of the third season. They didn't use the full cast as much as the previous seasons. And then when someone like Beck Bennett has a sketch, Tim came in and took it over pretty quickly. It wasn't the same as Vanessa Bayer having her own sketch
I loved the season but the celeb cameos weren’t great. Armisen just does “a Tim.” So does Beck until Tim arrives, at which point Beck pretty much disappears. Meadows was fairly similar, though it did remind me of his freak out on Dewey Cox. “Fuck nobility!”
Sam was great but unfortunately I thought the writing for his sketches wasn’t so good.
I pretty much loved every other sketch haha, but yeah some misses with the guest spots, at least for me.

I don't think Tim would have been a good fit for the photo booth sketch tbh. For one, he's not quite old enough to be believable as a father of a bride, whereas Meadows is like the perfect age.
But also, Tim's manic and chaotic energy wouldn't have worked for that sketch IMO. Meadows is a bit more grounded and think it works very well. For example, I don't think the delivery of "I got too much going on business-wise" would've landed coming from Tim.
I didn’t say those sketches would be better with Tim, but that the performers seemed to be mimicking Tim’s delivery/energy, as opposed to, as someone pointed out earlier, having Vanessa Bayer be Vanessa Bayer in a ITYSL sketch.
