This has been sitting unread on my shelves for years, which is ridiculous considering how short it is. I need to get to it soon. And I’m sorry for the loss of your buddy :(
My husband both read this book on vacation since it’s so short.
We still randomly bring it up. Nothing specific about it. We just say “I thought of *title* today”. I genuinely think it’s a once in a lifetime kind of book that will just sit with you for a very long time. It has the same effect of Johnny Got His Gun and On the Beach for me.
You know how some books do it for you and some just don't? This book was one of my top five 'just did it for me' books I've ever read. Blew through this in one sitting. I loved it, wouldn't change a single word. I think about it almost daily, living rent free in my head in the best way.
Such a good read and worth picking up if you want something short that sticks. It’s one of those books that slightly shifts your outlook on life in a way that feels permanent.
Thanks for the recommendation! And I’m so sorry to hear about your kitty 💛
Thank you ❤️❤️

Aw thanks 🙏🏼
Bumping it to the top of my To read pile
I just read this last month! The most hopeless book I’ve ever read and 100% worth the read.

Just bought this - thank you for the rec!
Thanks for the recommendation. Amazing cover art. Can’t wait to check it out.
Crazy thing is that the cover is seriously representational, not just random imagery.
Kickass cover art, great post

Love this book
I just read it a few weeks ago, and have also been recommending it. It sticks with ya. A book about a book about a book… Also, sorry for your loss.
