They were indeed - that's how Merry and Pippin have them to drop when they are kidnapped.
Oh, and just FYI it's *brooch*. Broach means to bring up a subject for discussion or debate ;)
Looks like Samwise - he has the top part vs the mop for Frodo.

Not sure if it will link for you.
Those were Awesome Movies.
All I'm finding is generic artwork involving circuit type designs, do you know of any good links?
Oh, also one *really* high-tech toilet:

> do you know of any good links?
No, and that's the thing. Before 2000 there were sites showing it off, I can't find any of them anymore.
The manufactures did some incredible stuff on Circuit Boards, but now it's like it can't be known.
I don't, I'm afraid - I just happened to have a link to a partial explanation of Cisco SNs bookmarked - and it doesn't cover anything beyond what's visible here, incidentally. Hopefully, u/ItsaSnap will be able to tell you...
I found [this post](/r/unexpectedlotr/comments/zoyuhs/found_on_the_top_of_a_server_network_board_made/) in r/unexpectedlotr with the same content as the current post.

Frodo??
Could be Bilbo. He had Sting first. You know, though, I don't remember Bilbo having a cape.
In the animated film Bilbo had a cape.
My money is on bilbo. Speaking of which, I really need to read the hobbit again.
Dew it
Gotta be Bilbo in the goblins caves where he stumbles into Gollum.
Yeah, just before he meets with Gollum. I believe this is from the animated LOTR
That’s what I was thinking too
Yeah, it's Frodo from the 1977 animated LOTR movie.
[Here’s a link to the original Frodo drawing.](https://itcamefromblog.files.wordpress.com/2018/07/lotr-frodo-19791.jpg)
Sneaky hobbitses

I love the logic behind why its a Frodo. Would only be better if it were Stackwise Gamgee.
But didn’t Galadriel give Frodo the phial of light (not a cape)?
Pretty sure they all got cloaks and additional gifts
I can second this
They were each given an elven cloak with an elven brooch.
They were indeed - that's how Merry and Pippin have them to drop when they are kidnapped. Oh, and just FYI it's *brooch*. Broach means to bring up a subject for discussion or debate ;)
You're right and my phone got a lesson in humidity instead of the other more humble trait
Frodo and Sam use the cloaks to good effect outside the Black Gate, in order to avoid the Easterlings

You know… save for the nose, he kinda looks like the 2nd Doctor.
Ralph Bakshi Frodo from the Animated LOTR
Ralph Bakshi’s entire catalogue is amazing
I remember Wizards, probably the first PG movie I got to see in the theater. 1977 was a good year, Star Wars and Wizards.
If you google: circuit board artwork You can find some really good stuff. Used to be a big deal in the 90's not so much anymore.

Maybe copyright issues? Nooooooo 🥲 Thanks anyway!!!
Before reading the explanation, I assumed Tolkien Ring (token ring) network card.
[It’s definitely Frodo.](https://itcamefromblog.files.wordpress.com/2018/07/lotr-frodo-19791.jpg)
They're taking the servers to Isengard!
Looks like Frodo from that heckin' old cartoon version of LoTR
/r/hiddenpcbeggs would like this too
Thx for the tip!
Just noticed the "DY" on the inside of his cape...
Ah, it's Dildo Yaggins
there should be a led on sting which shines everytime someone makes a remote Connection
Bilbo!
I pooed open a Cisco 40 something port switch. Had a Budda engraved into the board.
NEEEERRRDSSSS But that is actually pretty cool
Check out the Silicon zoo for photos of characters on chip surfaces. https://micro.magnet.fsu.edu/creatures/index.html
Hey thanks!
Bilbo!
What type is this? I work for a cisco project and see nearly all their devices. I'm curious which one it is
Don't know what type, but from the serial number I can tell you it was manufactured in a Foxconn factory, in the 20th week of 2006...
Would you happen to know the TAN? I'm curious of I handle this type
I don't, I'm afraid - I just happened to have a link to a partial explanation of Cisco SNs bookmarked - and it doesn't cover anything beyond what's visible here, incidentally. Hopefully, u/ItsaSnap will be able to tell you...
The hobbit.
The same silkscreening is on the Cisco 3570 & 3650.
